A new series of children's books called Seaper Powers has begun to take over the world of imagination. Receiving 10 out of 10 stars, this is a series not to be missed. There are three adventures in the series: In Search of Bleu Jay's Treasure; The Mystery of the Blue Pearls; and The Rescue. Written in 1-2 page chapters, these stories are meant to be shared with parents at bedtime. Kids can read the book on their own, or read along with the audio version. (Available in paperback, ebook, audio CD, and MP3.) Now the series is expanded for those who love to doodle. The drawings from each book are now in black and white, ready for the coloring adventurer in all of us!
In book 3 of the Seaper Powers series readers will see more of Emma’s new friends. They can now contact her via a magic seashell that glows whenever they need her. Emma’s newest assignment has her solving the mystery of a disease that is killing starfish around the St. Thomas waters. The friends are doing an investigation of their own. They were thinking of Steve and how they might find a cure for him especially since he was showing symptoms of the disease.
Once on the island, Emma checks on her friends and gets samples from a starfish that died. Her friends tell her how they remember a time when a disease attacked sea horses. The cure was found in a deep dark hole. Despite the danger, Emma decides to go to the black hole in St. Kitts to investigate, Oliver and Steve join her.
They enter the black hole and it swirled around them and they end up at the bottom. Emma was changed and had become a little girl again. The friends discover the cavern had healing crystals. The challenge now was how would they get out with the healing crystals and most importantly how would Emma get back to being an adult again?
The adventures never end in this series. With plenty of twists and turns and colorful illustrations, kids will find themselves engaged and wanting to quickly turn the pages to see what happens next. Parents and teachers can use this as a tool to discuss sea life and how sometimes fish can get sick.
