They’ve been married 10 years and get a weekend off from the kids, parents will know what this precious gift is worth and they make the most of their time together.

Suffice to say, it is a lovely smexy read and the fact they communicate is an added bonus for them.

This is a sweet, spicy, and quick read about a couple finally getting a weekend to themselves—no kids, no interruptions, just time to reconnect. What makes it charming is that it doesn’t just focus on the passion, but also on the little moments of intimacy that parents often miss out on when life gets busy.

I really liked how the author captured both the excitement and the nervousness of trying new things as a couple. The characters felt relatable, especially in how they balanced insecurities with curiosity, and it was refreshing to see them embrace growth together rather than shy away from it.

As a parent myself, I found the story very realistic. The stolen moments, the longing for adult-only time, and the way insecurities creep in—it all rang true. While it isn’t a story I see myself rereading (mostly because it mirrors my real life a little too closely), it still gave me a comforting reminder that I’m not alone in juggling love, parenthood, and the ups and downs of rediscovering yourself.

Overall, I’d rate it 3.5 stars. It’s a quick, enjoyable story that blends spice with heart, and I think many readers—especially parents—will connect with it.

I wish I could add 10 stars because I am in love. I wish more Conner’s existed in this life but aside from that. This book is a must with how chaotic my life’s been and getting to get lost on Layla and Conner’s everything; having hope that maybe just maybe I’ll have that someday soon. Ava my darling, you’re amazing and I cannot wait to slowly devour every book of yours. This is. Late review but my love, I love you and your worlds; your writing, you give me life!! Thank you for being you and this book especially with the amount of spice in a more connection vibe-way that we all need in our life. Even if only in books… Books are for learning after all ;-)

I love Layla and Connor story! I love how they had a kid free weekend, and explored each other. I also like the fact that after 10 years I still had a very healthy love life. I loved how after something new happened and Layla felt uncertain, Connor was quick to reassure her and help her through it. Ava WYLDE did absolutely amazing with this story and I cannot wait to read more about what happens with this couple in the future.

If you’re looking for something hot and steamy, this is for you. It’s good to see that even with kids there’s still that strong intense connection.

well written

5star read for me. A well written short story of a husband and wife. While the kids are away they get into a few different sexual adventures together. I want to give a 5 star spice rating as well. Few different scenes and scenarios without being too over the top. Very realistically written book about a husband and wife finding and keeping their sexual spark alive.

I loved this spicy little debut from Ava Wylde. It is a relatable spicy story of a married couple enjoying each other while the kids are away. It isn’t over the top or unrealistic. Whew is all I can say. This book is so spicy in its 27 pages. Layla and Connor’s adventure without the kids was a fun, adventurous time. I loved their bond. If you’re looking for a quick, spicy book then check this one out. I read it in one sitting because it was quick and kept me intrigued.
