In a world of sinners and saints, the most dangerous thing is falling for both.
Nora Westfield has spent the last year picking up the pieces—grieving her father’s death, burying herself in law school, and swearing off men entirely. Then a stranger saves her from her ex in a dark Boston alley and turns her carefully controlled world inside out.
Nikolaos Regas is magnetic, protective—and hiding something dangerous. When he walks into Nora’s law firm as the defendant in a high-profile blackmail case, everything begins to unravel. The deeper Nora digs, the more she realizes Nick isn’t the only one keeping secrets—or the only one watching her.
There’s another man. One who finds her curled up on a cold floor and carries her out without asking permission. One who calls her Snow White and looks at her like she’s the only thing in the room worth breaking. One who knows secrets about Nick that could destroy everything.
Two men. One devastating secret. And a woman caught in between.

L. Luisa writes dark romantic suspense with all the angst, passion, and heart that love demands. She believes the most powerful stories are the messy, complicated ones, where love isn’t just a feeling but a force that changes you. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her lost in a book, recording songs in the studio, or pushing her limits at the gym.
Oh my god!! Why is this book so underrated?? I need everyone to read this so we can all obsess over it together!
You want an addicting book with Greek mmcs, with tension, with smart lines, people with hot personalities, men who yearn aggressively? You got it! I couldn’t put it down!
Every character was flawed but different but every single one of them was likeable. I connected with every single one of them.
Also, as a Greek, I loved the Greek words and phrases.
And don’t even get me started on the book bf… I couldn’t get enough!! A pathetic yearner!!!
All the tropes were done so right!
I seriously had so much fun reading this! Exactly what I needed this period of my life!

I picked this up planning to read a chapter before bed and then looked up two hours later wondering where my night went. Nora is one of those heroines who's trying SO hard to hold everything together, grief, panic attacks, the pressure of being the "responsible one" and then this stranger crashes into her life covered in blood and secrets and I was immediately like okay, I need to know everything about him. Add her best friend Maeve, who is a mess in the most lovable, chaotic-good-friend way, and I was fully invested in both of them by like chapter three.
There's a twist around the middle of this book that made me physically gasp. Like, put-my-kindle-down-and-stare-at-the-wall gasp. I can't say anything about it because it would genuinely ruin the experience, but just know I did NOT see it coming and it recontextualizes so much of what happened before.
I will say, my heart got a little worn out by how much internal spiraling Nora does. I got it, girl, you're scared, you don't know who to trust, we've established this. And a couple of the side characters felt like they were being set up for something big that never quite landed by the end (fingers crossed book two delivers on that).
But god, the family dynamics in this book are DARK in the best way. There's a father figure who genuinely made my skin crawl every time he showed up on the page, and watching the two brothers navigate loyalty vs. doing the right thing gave me way more feelings than I expected from what I thought was going to be a straightforward romance. One of them in particular wrecked me a little, the walls-up, doesn't-deserve-love-but-wants-it-anyway thing got me good.
This ends on a cliffhanger that had me immediately wanting to read book two.
I loved this story. All the characters and the layers. The way everyone has a connection somewhere is great. The thrill in this book was great. No spice factor really and I was okay with that the characters kept me interacting can’t wait to read the next book I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Enjoyable read. Writing flowed. Easy to understand. Haven’t read a multiple first POV romance in a long while. Luisa gave each character a distinct voice and mannerisms which can be really difficult to do. Good debut!

In Between was an enjoyable read. It was also my first time reading a book with four different POVs, and I really liked that experience. Even though all the characters shared the same story, Luisa managed to give each of them a distinct voice and personality.
One of the things that stood out to me the most was the strong The Vampire Diaries vibe, mainly because of the dynamic between the two male leads. One comes across as the less dangerous one, while the other is darker, more dangerous, unpredictable, and morally gray. If you enjoy that kind of character dynamic, you’ll probably enjoy this book as well.
There were a few plot twists that I genuinely didn’t see coming, which kept me interested throughout the story. The only thing I felt was missing were a few extra scenes that would have helped me better understand certain relationships and events. Since this is the first book in the series, though, I’m hoping those gaps will be filled later on through flashbacks or as the story unfolds.
Overall, Luisa’s writing is straightforward and easy to read, and the short chapters keep the story moving at a nice pace. It may not have been a perfect read for me, but it was an enjoyable one, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the story develops in the next book.
Thank you to the author for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I had so much fun reading this book! It took me less than half a day to finish because I was so invested in the story and just had to know how it ended. I’ll get you for this cliffhanger, girl!! 🤣🤣 It’s such a shame the second part doesn’t come out until next year 😔
I was really surprised by how well the author managed to merge the story from four different POVs — that usually gets messy and confusing, but not in this case! Each perspective was clear and added something important to the plot.
The story is super fast-paced and totally addictive. You keep telling yourself “just one more chapter”… and suddenly you realize you’ve finished the whole book 😅

When Nora, a legal intern, is saved from an abusive ex boyfriend by a man named Niko she never imagined that she would be assigned to work on his case.
This is a slow burn, romantic suspense with seedy businessmen, secrets and lies, a complex love triangle, set in a dangerous world. I thought it was pretty good, the inner-monologue of the fmc did drive me a little nuts. She second guesses herself a lot and most of the time focuses on the negative aspects of the person, giving her a “ I’m better than you “ attitude. I realize some personal growth needed to happen with the characters in this book. Overall it was enjoyable. This ends on a cliffhanger.

In Between is for you, if you're looking for a book that has: Dark secrets Slow-burn chemistry Betrayal Lawyer/defendant Family Trauma Corruption & Blackmail
The book is in the POV of 2 MMCs and 2 FMCs and it worked out so well. smooth transitions between so many POV's isn't always there, so kuddos to this new-to-me author as they did a great job. Each Character is developed so well and their interconnectedness was perfect. There is no spice, but their feelings burn slow but high. I am looking forward to Book 2 as their story may not be finished after all.
I received a free ARC of this book and this review is only my opinion
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. It did take me a while to complete this book, but not because it was a hard read. This book had such a good story line that made me want to keep coming back for more. There is a little bit of smut in here, but not a whole lot - so if you are into smut, this may not be the first on your list to read. While reading this book, I was constantly going back and forth between whose side to be on - Zeno or Nick. Both have their good attributes. Nora, the main character, also went back and forth between Zeno or Nick. Who will she choose??
I can’t wait for the next book to come out, since this one ends on a cliffhanger!
I had a bit of a hard time getting into this book at first, but I'm so glad I kept reading.
The further I got, the more intrigued I became by the mystery surrounding the characters and all the secrets waiting to be be uncovered. The tension was done so well, and I loved not knowing who I could trust.
Nora's journey kept me invested, and both male characters had me equally curious for very different reasons. The slow burn, the suspense, and the constant feeling that something bigger was lurking beneath the surface made this a really enjoyable read.
And that ending?! I definitely need the next book.

I fully enjoyed this book, the characters and the storyline.Nora was a strong female character and dealt with the circumstances of Niko in a determined and exciting way dealing with complicated feeling with him and with his half brother Zeno. Who is an enigma in his own right a bad boy who is damaged but has a heart or at least for Nora.
Love that the ending is actually on a cliffhanger which tbh makes me want to read the second book immediately
Thank you for allowing me to be an advanced reader.
I found this book to be a really good read. I loved how they characters were so well detailed, they had depth that made them more realistic. I also like that all the characters were interconnected in someway.
There's limited spice in this book, possibly building into book 2, but we shall see. There is a heck of a cliffhanger so be ready to wish for book 2.

I absolutely ate this book up!! It was amazing, the storyline was so intense it kept me hooked the whole way through. You never know which way it will take you and keeps you guessing. The characters were incredible and I loved that you got to know more than just 2 main characters 😍 after that ending I am super excited to read book two when it comes out!! I need to know more😍
I love how all the characters are connected, it’s my first time reading dark romance and I have to say I was very impressed by the writing and depth of the story. Zeno is very unique and I love how Nora evolved without losing who she is! Can’t wait for part 2!
This was a very good book. It was a very smooth rad that kept me interested to the very end. I love how it was a very med paced book and the character were strong. The way the author built up everything was just beautiful.
I absolutely loved this book due to how well it was written, the structure was stable despite it having multiple povs which can tend to make the story hard to follow but it didn’t it was done really well. The plot was also refreshing and very different which made me enjoy it even more
The book is an easy and enjoyable read. It had some really fun and unexpected elements that kept me guessing—I couldn’t predict how the story would unfold, which made it even more engaging.
OMG, I’m going straight on to the next book—I need to know what happens next!
This is the kind of story that you hate to see end because the slow burn, the suspense, secrets, lies, leaves you feeling like something bigger was way beneath the surface in this dangerous world leaves you on the edge wondering what will happen next.
Loved it!! Interesting from the start, very well written, I loved all the stories, not fixed in a specific couple.. only sad I have to wait till 2026 for book 2
