He captured my hand and kissed my palm. “If anything happens to me they’ll take care of you.” Tears shimmered in my eyes, like a damn burst inside me. A car crash finally igniting. He was the flames. They were all the flames. Burning inside me like a damn inferno. He stretched my arm over my head. I lifted the other in instinct, feeling his fingers grip my wrist. I’d never been so turned on…so agonizingly desperate for a man to consume me. “You are ours.” He warned. “Say it…say who you belong to.” “You.” My heart blazed as I whispered. “I belong to all of you.”
They promised to keep me alive. They promised to keep me safe. But what happens when death is payment for a debt I never knew? Death or an eternity in servitude? The Costello’s are steeped in betrayal. Lies and corruption taint my family’s bloodline, owing debts to monsters more dangerous than the Vampires I love. Now the Inner Circle has come to collect. Only I won’t go easy. To protect those I love I’ll fight for them a thousand times over…if need be I’ll die as well. In a dark alley I face down my corrupt past. I have one small chance to keep us alive.
As my thoughts turn to those I love; Elithen, Hurrow, Justice, Rule and my savage Unseelie bodyguard, Russell, I pray we make it…
DNF @ 35% It's taken me sooo long to even get that far. I just can not get into it atm. I might try again later on. It's a shame, because I like the whole idea of this series and it had huge potential, but it's just missing things and the oomf that would make it good. I wrote some reviews of book 1 and 2 which goes more into detail about my problems with the books.
Okay it says it's the end of the vampire part of the trilogy but Ruth's story isn't finished so am hoping that it's being continued in the werewolf part? I hope so because this series is addictive as heck. Ruth and her vampires , Russell are great! The Costello's are ruthless but blood is blood and they came through. The fighting, the surprise vampire lord who was a wuss hiding behind others when he's supposedly all badass. I need more, just saying!
We come to the end of Ruth's story and let me just say this one will blow your mind. Atlas and Kim have a way to sneak in some unexpected twist and turns in her books. So in the epic conclusion for Ruth and her men it is very intense. I don't know how many times I had to change my seating arrangement. I mean from the edge to my seat to pushing up against the back of the chair. I could not sit still for the life of me. There is action, revealing answers to questions and oh yeah some intense smexy times. I mean you go through a myriad of emotions. This book series is crazy good. The story is a slow build as well as a slow burn. However be prepared to burn in some scenes and gasp in others. I cannot wait to read about the wolves and the fae!!

I'm new to this Author, I have enjoyed these.books Easy to follow storyline , goods characters and great ending I look forward to reading more from this Author
I NEVER leave reviews, because I don't care to. But hot damn, this trilogy was epic. I've read a lot of this genre and this easily moved to the top of my favorites. Impeccable writing. I couldn't put this down. Now onto the wolves trilogy.
Okay, so I have a few things to take off my chest here, here we go.
Ruth. I went from hating her in the first book to actually liking her at the end of the third book. She changed, and in a good way. She realized what was actually important, which is her Vampires and Russel and not her that stupid company. She was ready to sacrifice herself to save them.
About the men now. I'm left a bit dissatisfied. What's their background? What's their story? What's Elithien's story with that Princess? What's Justice's story about his eye patch? Where was Harrow in this book? Justice, still so in love with him. Russel as well. (Wish there had been a threesome with them and Ruth, a fantasy of mine.) Still, I feel like there is unfinished business between Russel and the Vampires. Also, him being referred to as "the bodyguard" instead of "Russel" by Elithien was getting on my nerves. Dude, Ruth chose him as well and you fucking used him, so move on. In the end, I felt like she ended up with Elithien, then came Russel and Justice, and finally Hurrow and Rule were the leftovers from the week before in case she was starving and the first three weren't available. I get that Elithien is the Alpha of the coven, but come on!
I have to say, I needed more. More of everything. It took me a long time to get into the writing style but in the end I think I really liked it.
Also, what was the deal with the fake ring? Will Ruth become a Vampire at some point in her life? What is Ruth exactly since she's half human, half Vampire?
I need closure. And I don't think I'll get any in the second part of the series, since it's about Carina and the Wolves. Not sure I'll read her story, or if I do, it'll be in a few months maybe.
Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.
Vampire's Promise was awesome, there are no words. There is no way I can write a review that can convey how excellent this book was or how I truly felt about it but I'm gonna try. This book wrapped up Ruth's story arc kinda perfectly, I just wished for one thing to happen but still, I'm in love with the story. There was non-stop action, steamy scenes, supernatural politicals, fierce protectiveness, betrayal, violence, family drama, and a couple of shocking plot twists.
Ruth has changed, this whole thing has changed her into a different person, I'm not gonna say it's for the better or worse because it's not that kinda change. She has evolved and now has people who care about her to back her up. Ruth was the kind of character where yes she was weak because she was dead-center in a world of powerful supernaturals, and a human world that was controlled by me but she knows her worth, she is figuring out that she has a certain kind of power and she knows she is worthy of the good things in her life.
The storyline was continuous action and everything was pretty much crappy for Ruth and her mates. This book had me from the start, and I read the entire thing in one sitting. I need to know what was gonna happen next and I enjoyed every single second of this book, I was totally addicted to the story. Vampire's Promise was a good wrap to Ruth's story arc but I feel like it was left open for more if the authors wanted. Up next in the series is Wolf's Bite, this follows a certain FBI agent, and I am so ready for this story.
Now I understand there are more books with different FMC's but I don't feel like it would be worth it to read them.
The company crumbles, where is Charlotte, who is the princess and the prince... what happened with that one wolf... the ring, why do they want her to stay human in this kind of world. Why was she so WEAK but her father talked her up and made her out to be ruthless... why did her father betray the vampires then turn around and tell the vamps to protect her then a book later have him tell them that they can't touch her? How the fight outside of Jewel was a set up and he wanted her to be hurt and then looked at her as if she did all of that? Also how did a vampire sire a human?
I feel like I'm missing some, but that's the gist for me. 2.5 stars because I did enjoy some of the drama. But the rest of the time I was rolling my eyes and so dang annoyed that she was a doormat and just had sex instead of demanding answers. Also no character development all around. We know nothing about any of the characters. Blah.
This book probably only deserves 2.5 stars not a full 3.
While I enjoyed reading this series, this third instalment was just a bit too chaotic for my tastes. It was almost as if the writer had one too many ideas and decided to shove them all into the last book.
The smut also was a bit lack-lustre. What could've been a great scene (started off well), it just faded to something boring and lacking detail. I know the author was probably trying to write to enhance the connection between characters, but I honestly didn't feel it.
For a RH kind of story, there wasn't really much of it. They all predominantly watched and it was only ever one or 2, or she would be taken away privately by one. If I am reading a RH Dark Romance novel, I'm wanting MFMM with some MM action in there too. For Vampires, there also wasn't much feeding involved either.
Also, did we REALLY need to add in the 5th romantic partner. I think it was really unnecessary and detracted from the relationships that could have actually been built and explored with the other 4.
So yeah, I didn't LOVE this series, but this one in particular was a bit of a bummer for me.

Book 3 in the mafia monsters series. Continuing Ruth, Elithein, Hurrow, Justice, Rule and Russels story. With Alexander back in town and now tied to a chair in the warehouse Elithien, Justice, Hurrow and Russell see this as the end of him and the end of Ruth's suffering but through Alexander's calculating grin they find that's not the case when he is tied to the one who is coming for them and for Ruth. Not wanting to lie anymore to Ruth, Elithien tells her she cant get her revenge in killing Alexander just yet, but shes not safe and he reluctantly admits the only place she can be safe is staying with Russel. Even then with past secrets unraveling before her decisions made on a promise that can alter the outcome but their future still hangs in the balance can her 5 immortal lovers protect her through it all. A gripping heart pounding read, filled with action, heated desire, lust bursting and twist filled scenes. This is a series not to be missed!

I really tried. First book was eh alright, second book was still going down hill with no growth from the FMC at all. She does from strong daughter of a mafia king who takes no shit from anyone to having flashbacks ever 2 seconds and taking shit from everyone. The men in her life don’t even have much growth either. The third book was just a continuation of much of the same shit. Not one man is willing to bend at all and she’s holds her ground for what she wants for like 2.5 seconds before giving in and “letting them do whatever they want to me” or “take what you need from me”. The character development is wayyyy down hill from the first book. The storyline has lots much of surprise and almost every single secondary character no longer exists/has anything to do with the story. I personally enjoy a story that connects all the hints and seemingly important details throughout a series together but this story did not do that. As i said in previous reviews it just seems disconnected and doesn’t have a smooth slow to it.
This is the third book in the Mafia Monsters series. It's a fast-paced and continuation from the previous book that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, mystery/secrets, surprises, family, friends/friendships, anger, fear, pain, conflict, resolution, confusion, confidence, strength, courage, trust, truths, stubbornness, struggles, protection, threats, possessiveness, rivals, abuse, doubts, confrontations, trauma, arrogance, annoyance, compassion, desperation, acceptance, tension, turmoil (emotional), manipulating, frustration, determination, patience, chaos, betrayal, fighting, life-threatening situations, lies, corruption, revenge/vengeance, loyalty, politics, evil, happiness, romance, passion/lust and love. OMG! What a wrap up to Ruth's story! Answers to questions about her family are finally revealed. The fight for love happens. Read to find out what happens.
Ruth finds out that Alexander is alive, that he is working with an Immortal. This immortal has her men on edge as he wants revenge. Alexander makes some comments that take root in her. She decides that she is not going to hide, she wants to find out answers. She keeps seeing a man in the shades. She is terrified by that. She decides to fight to find answers about her mother and her life. Ruth learns that the answers will change her life forever. Ruth and her men will fight for her and their lifes, Ruth will do the unthinkable to keep her man save. Ruth will learn the real truth about her father. She will learn what love and loyalty really is.
Thing was a really interesting ending to the vampires part of the story. There are parts that can be annoying with the character of Ruth. But the author weaves the story of her true origins in over all plot.

Reviewers Note: I received a free copy of this book/series in exchange for an honest review.
This was the final book of this particular arc in the series. Unfortunately the gains made in adding the additional POV in book two were slightly lost in book three. You spend the majority of the story in the female leads POV, and other than occasional jumps to the male POV we were introduced to in book two, we never get any insight to the other male’s in the RH love story’s POV which is unfortunate.
Other aspects that could be improved on are the inconsistencies in the wording. Sometimes it feels like a thought was changed mid sentence but the rest of the scene/dialog wasn’t adjusted to account for the shift.
I’ve mentioned this in my reviews of the other two books in the series, but wanted to reiterate that I think the overall story has promise but could definitely benefit from some good editing.
Ruth finds love and acceptance with her vampire lovers! by sewsummore
Despite not reading the previous books in the series, I quickly became enthralled in this book. Ruth was a mafia Princess and the lover of four vampires. Her once human bodyguard was now an Unseelie Beast and protector. Together they wage war on a powerful vampire who will never rest until Ruth becomes his. This book has many dramatic scenes as Ruth's vampire mates search for the answers to Ruth's past. I would recommend reading the earlier books in the series for better understanding and clarity. While one enemy is defeated in this book, there are many more questions to be answered in this exciting continuing series.

Well , apparently Ruth does . This is the first time I've seen Ruth as the heroines first name . Just something I noticed as it's also my grandmothers name . Anyway...great book . Actually , great 3 books . I kind if wondered how the Mafia aspect would work , but it did . Quite well in fact . It was nice to read about a strong woman , Ruth . She didn't take shit from anyone and did her best to lead her family's business empire . Considering that this is a RH novel , I would like to have seen Ruth having more group sex than she did . Also actual sex with penetration seemed to be uneven among her men . One man got the lions share of her . Just didn't seem fair . Lol ! So...read them 1 - 3 . You'll like them !
Well damn, that happened! . I cannot get enough of this book! I fricken love it. So many times I was astounded at where the story went, so many times I held my breath in anticipation and the tension and suspense levels reached a new high. . Amazing book in this series. The action, the tension, anticipation, the steam, and those moments that were the perfect mix of darkness and swoon. This series has it all. I’m so fascinated and curious by this world and I want to learn so much more. . Our characters definitely learnt to work together and trust each other more in this book in my opinion especially when it came to the vamps learning to trust and believe in Ruth’s strength. I have enjoyed this ride so much I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Breathlessly dark and beautiful with sexy surrender. This series has been one thrill after another...not to be missed!! I fell in love with each character and a peek across the bridge.between mortals and monsters, but who’s to say what and who are the real monsters. The ultimate fight for love is never easy and in this case it’s filled with danger and unexpected mysteries. I’ve said this before but I will say it again this is one of the best series I’ve read this year and can’t wait and see what else this author has in store. Captivating 5 Stars

I loved this trilogy!! I could not put it down!! This is the first time I have read anything from these authors and I am hooked!! Ruth Costello is a mafia princess on the mortal side of the city. Elithien, Hurrow, Justice, and Rule are Vampires from the other side of the river where the immortals live. Don’t forget about Russell, Ruth’s protective bodyguard. Can these vampires protect their mortal? Can Ruth fight for herself and get past her fears? What happens when she learns about her past and family secrets come to life? This is an exciting, dark and intense read. I could not put it down!!

How can I even begin to give you a review of this book without wanting to ramble on and on? My heart is running rampant and my hands are still shaking from all the adrenaline. So many emotions from the characters became my own as I read through this feeling as if I was right there in the middle of everything that was happening. So many lies and secrets with some of the truths coming out. And the truths? You could have blown me away when they starting unfolding. This was phenomenal and I just found out there is going to be a book four. Be still my beating heart.
In this book we get to meet Cades, truths come out and blood is shed. Alliances are broken but can they be fixed by the actions of one. Sacrifices are made and family stand together but its all really only the start for another chapter in many of the characters lives. I loved this book from start to finish and it really did have me sitting on the edge of my seat wanting answers. There are answers still to come but it will be in the next part of the series I’m sure. It’s an addictive series.

Vampires Promise (Mafia Monsters book 3) by Kim Faulks and Atlas Rose is a 5 star read. Just as she’s about to get her revenge Ruth and her vampires find out there is more in play than they first thought. She must come face to face with someone she’s not sure they can defeat, but she’s willing to do anything to save the ones she loves, while they fight to save her life. I loved this series, Ruth, Elithien, Hurrow, Rule and Russell were all well thought out characters who made this story so likeable. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
This book is so full of danger and secrets that come to light, that it changes the dynamics of the story but not the relation between Ruth, her four vampires and her Unseelie. Caedes, the most powerful vampire, is out to claim Ruth and put an end to her vampires but he did not plan on the allies that came to help Ruth and her men. This is a great story that is full emotion and great characters. Loved this book and would highly recommend it as a great read.
This entire book was a nonstop thrill ride. Every few pages I thought this has to be the big finale. I kept expecting it to end because every scene seemed to be bigger than the last. It just kept growing and gaining more momentum. It was fantastic. Every time Atlas Rose puts out a new series, it is better than the last one. This book ends so perfect and then I learn there is going to be more! This is great and I cannot wait to read the next one!
Wow, the book was great. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I started reading it and didn't put it down until I was done. There's only one part I wasn't happy about. The ultimate evil is finally unveiled but the secret about Ruth doesn't really fit for me. Why isn't she more because of who her dad is. Anyways I try not to leave spoilers so I know that's cryptic but maybe sometime in the future books that'll become clear.

Well bloody hell (pun intended!) thats the way to end this series. With no idea who are enemies & who are friends Ruth, her Vampires - Elithien, Justice, Rule, Hurrow and her bodyguard - Russell are in the middle of a war. One that seems to be focused around them. All the loose ends were tied up neatly with that brilliant ending. Ive loved reading this series so much and even its the book for Ruth and the guys im dying for book 4. Cant wait for that one
Wow! There's no other word I could use to describe this book. There's non stop action, steamy scenes and the story has so many different elements and layers that I can guarantee you'll be unable to put it down. I was very happy with how this book summed up Ruth's story. This book was beautifully written and detailed in all the right ways. I thoroughly enjoyed this series from the start and this third book was the best yet!
This amazingly well written book 3 in the Mafia Monsters Series with great characters that are well crafted with exceptionally hot chemistry. This story has humor, action, love and a cliff hanger, you do find out a whole lot of information in this book and you still want to know more. Loved this must read book and Love the covers of the books also. I am always looking forward to the next one
