Wow! I think I loved book two more than book one! So good! In my opinion I think the writing style and story line got a lot better from book one. I rounded up to 4 stars from a 3.75. There’s still a lot I think could have been cut out and edited a little better which is why it’s not a 5. It story telling is incredible! Favorite quote “my brother is a twat “

WARNING REVIEW CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS!

Iro returns as the main character, but this time alongside her man, Sebastian Yes, the same Prince Sebastian from book one. In this book Author, Amberly Henning writes in not only Iro's POV but also Sebastian's! Readers finally get to know him on a deeper level and more about his childhood. However, the couple ends up separating for some months, so he can go back to Bast to fix the damages of his kingdom, and Iro is off searching for a way to stop a new disease called the Black Blight that makes people crazy. Iro's quest unlike Sebastian leads her to go back home to the Underneath aka the afterlife/Underworld. Unfortunately, when the two lovers finally reunite only more hell breaks loose and of course tragedy.

There is the return of lovable characters from book one like Olympia as well as some new characters that readers will grow to love. My favorite new character is Raven. She's a little rough around the edges, but deep down is also a sweetheart.

Overall, the book is filled with amazing character development, world-building, hints of humor, and just the right amount of descriptive language. I cannot wait to read the next book in the Prism Series.

Iro's and Sebastian's stories diverge in this follow-up. They go their separate ways in order to rescue their country from "the blight", which is a plague that's killing their citizens en masse. Overall, I enjoyed the read and liked that we got to see the underworld and more of the gods (looking forward to more of this too!). Much of the action takes place in Iro's portion of the story, though the intrigue in Sebastian's holds your interest too, especially some of the twists and turns. The ending of this book hurt my feelings, so I'll be reading the next one shortly!
