From bestselling horror author Bryan Alaspa comes a chilling urban horror story that drags you into the depths of Chicago’s forgotten places. The Crew is a gripping, fast-paced horror short story that blends urban legend with the terror of the unknown.
When David and his graffiti crew discover an abandoned subway stop beneath the city, they think they’ve found the ultimate spot to leave their mark. But the station is wrong—too quiet, too rotten, too untouched by time. As they explore, they begin to hear things, see things moving in the dark. And when the truth finally reveals itself, it’s already too late.
For fans of Clive Barker, Adam Nevill, and urban horror, The Crew is a terrifying descent into the abyss. If you love supernatural horror, abandoned places, and stories that will haunt your dreams, this short story is for you.
A nicely done supernatural horror story, about a graffiti crew who dares to trespass on other people's territory underneath Chicago. The tale is told with great attention to detail (the crew's banter felt very realistic, to the point I was wondering if the author had been in a similar situation in the past), the dialogue sounded absolutely natural, even the (mostly implicitly described) menace felt real to me. A great read if you have a little time to spare!
