Cute book about a princess that doesn't follow predictable gender roles, but doesn't entirely abandon them either. She uses her brain to save the day and when she meets a prince, they decide to strike out on their own path for adventure, instead of returning to either of their parents' kingdoms.
My 7-year-old laughed out loud as he recognized some of the fairy tale characters who come across the path of the princess/knightess.
