The False Prophet
Faith Kerry was sure that she was running out of time to have the marriage, kids, and suburban home that she had always dreamed of. She was working a job she loved. She went to church every Sunday and had even maintained her purity so she wouldn’t fall into lustful traps. As her desperation grew stronger, she happened to meet the man of prayers, Blake McPherson. He was saved, sanctified, and in the midst of building a major church in Los Angeles. Faith was certain she had finally met “Mr. Right” and fell head over heels in love with the El Debarge look-a-like. A life of high fashion, rubbing elbows with celebrities, and being linked to the most attractive men in the religious world had all eyes on her. To her dismay, her mother and best friend began to stray from her. Faith had to pledge her allegiance to her husband and forsake all others. Even God himself was beginning to sit on the back burner in her personal life. To keep up with their Hollywood image, her husband began to shed the church’s Pentecostal background to invite more elite and “free spirited” members. However, after their religious empire began to crumble under the weight of fraudulent charities, Faith uncovered a secret her husband had been hiding that would force her to question everything she had ever known during their marriage. Stealing and cheating are one thing but what do you do when you’re married to a ‘False Prophet’?

I'm going to rate this a three because: drama baby! what a story full of it lols.
Now listen, I understand lonely and I understand wanting to be married but Faith was dumb. Like ain't no way she couldn't spot the obvious red flags going on with her "husband" who turns out to be her "wife".
I think the author had a good story plot in mind but imo just didn't manifest fully of page. This story kind of read all of the place and many things thrown in just for the shock value. That shock value overwhelmed the messages that the author was trying to convey. How women are pretty much told that without a husband, what are you? How the church view homosexuality which isn't in a good way. Because did Benard/Bianca truly have to go the lenght they did? Also, I feel like Benard/Bianca character development was lacking and if I'm being honest, harmful towards the transgender community. And let's know forget, the bit of colorism floating around in this story too.
But if you like drama, especially when it comes to the Church; then, The False Prophet is a read for you.

The False Prophet
This book was dramatic and an eye opener. Faith was a Church of God Christian who was near 40 yrs old, she wanted a husband and children asap. She went to all church functions just find Mr perfect, the only thing she got was a fake pastor. She got married . On the night of her honeymoon Pastor Blake was not ready to have sex, red flag, Faith was still their enjoying luxury, and the expensive things. It was when members start complaining about pastor behaviour , Faith start to worry . Very good story . Good read

Good read!
Although the story was pretty predictable, I enjoyed reading it. It’s amazing that women want to be married so bad that they don’t heed the warning signs before them. Blake has no history at all. And I’d definitely not live in a house where I couldn’t go into all of the rooms. There were also a few mistakes that had me looking back through the book to figure things out, but otherwise it was pretty good.

WOW...what a powerful lesson!
This book had me talking to faith like I was right there! I kept saying, girl, wake up, look at the signs, something ain't right! When we are in the midst of trouble, this is when we have to listen to God! Lord have mercy but when Sister Girl woke up, what joy! Love yourself and never forget that God is always there! Thankful you for the inspiration and keep letting the Lord use you!!

Love yourself first in all circumstances
I like the Book Because it kept my interest. I recommend this book to women who are seeking husbands but must know their Identity first. I rated this book 5 stars because the book depicted what can happen if you don't know what love should be in a relationship.

Can you say hot mess?! Faith was so desperate for a man/marriage/kids, that she fell for the first person that showed her some attention. There were obvious signs that she missed. The end was surprising but still left questions in my mind.

This book was something like never before. You never know what people are going through but you just have to be prayerful that they find their way. The characters were so real. Have to have more discernment.

After all the main character went through, wanted an HEA for her. I guess finding her purpose with the Lord is the better gift.

Faith wanted the marriage, kids, and home that she was dreamed of. Faith allowed her separation to lead her to a man that she should not have been with. We need to wait for God and not step out. Blake was a hot mess and was living a messy life. Faith began to not socialize with her mom and best friend. Faith was lonely and took to the first man out of her desperation to be married. Good read.

This dude here 🤦🏽♀️ smh. Again red flags even before the first date. I wish you would tell me how to dress or wear my hair on the first date, don’t even pick me up lol. I can’t. Not to mention she said “he was the one” even before their first date. Blake smelled her desperation.
