Marred By The Author's Agenda
Jewel Shepard gathered an impressive selection of B-movie starlets and got some impressive interviews out of them. In the few short pages devoted to each, a great deal of depth is reached in terms of personal history, careers and aspirations. The only thing that throws it all off is Jewel's obvious agenda that seems almost anti-B-movie. In nearly every interview she asks leading questions along the lines of "Don't you feel bad about getting naked?" and "Don't you feel that the violence in these movies is bad?" Most of the interviewees shrug it off. Some agree. It's just a very tedious and tired line of questioning.
