A fantastic read for authors at any stage of their career. Be a Writing Machine 2 is packed with practical, actionable advice on boosting productivity, conquering writer’s block, and developing a sustainable writing routine. The tips are clear, easy to implement, and adaptable to different writing styles and genres.
What I appreciated most is how the author cuts through fluff and delivers strategies you can start using immediately—whether it’s refining your workflow, managing your creative energy, or setting achievable goals. The tone is encouraging without being preachy, and it’s obvious the author understands the daily challenges writers face.

4.5–M.L. Ronn gives a lot of actionable advice about being prolific. This book definitely gave me ideas for how to improve my output (which is great, because I have a million story ideas!) Some personalities who need more learning and thinking time will struggle to keep pace, but almost everyone can learn to write faster using Michael’s ideas. My favorite aspect of his philosophy is to embrace the joy of what you’re doing. Joy will keep you coming back more and more often, again and again, for the long term!

Great follow up to the first book. It has more tips on productivity, how to gather ideas and how to be a better writer overall. The best part for me is how Michael's voice is simple and straight to the point. You feel like having a conversation with someone who has crossed the same bumpy and long road as you.

If you liked the first Be a Writing Machine, this is a great sequel.
