America is in turmoil, as the divisions amongst her population increases daily. Both political and social divides have the country at a tipping point that she may not be able to come back from. At a time when the country is at her most vulnerable, an old enemy comes to play a new game. This enemy, unlike in the past, is ready to play this game, whereas America is busy fighting amongst herself. One attack after another leaves America reeling while her enemies are at the gates. Follow along as America, at every level, encounters her greatest fight for existence. Can she overcome the obstacles in her way to regain her status as the lone, shining beacon of freedom, or will she crumble from the weight of the devastating attacks that have her gasping for air?
THE USE OF PROFANITY IS USED IN THIS BOOK. SOME SCENES MAY CONTAIN GRAPHIC VIOLENCE. READER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
This book was slow in the beginning but then I had to finish reading it, even foregoing sleep last night.
Below I'm listing under PRO'S the thing's I liked or reminded me of recent true events.
Under CON'S are the thing's I didn't like and how I felt about those thins.
Without giving too much of the plot away this book really does describe the SLOW COLLAPSE OF AMERICA however with some bias on the part of the author.
These are my opinions below and why I only rated the book with 4 stars.
Overall this book was very good. I still you to read the book and come to your own opinion.
PRO'S:
1. Many are based upon actual event we all unfortunately saw that happened in 2020. These events I will never forget. I pray that other don't forget, or we are doomed for history to repeat itself.
2. The book is packed full of twists and turns that prevented me from putting it down except for the absolute necessities that had to be done last night.
3. All characters are well defined and easy to remember
4. I really loved seeing the two main characters evolve over the entire book even as the environment around them declined drastically.
5. It's the right amount of page's to pull you in and keep you reading. There's not an excessive amount of page's in this book to drag it out with filler material that's not needed.
CON'S:
1. I only have one major complaint about this book. I do NOT like the author's bias while taking us back over the past few years.
He doesn't list what party the political figures are associated with party. The main political figure, once again in my opinion, is described by the author as a great person and is shown to be an American patriotic. Remember looking at the past and some of the real events that took place THIS POLITICAL FIGURE IS THE ANYTHING BUT AN AMERICAN PATRIOT WHO LOVES AMERICA OR "WE THE PEOPLE."
Having said all of the above I am going to start on book #2 tonight. I'm sure the main political figure is going to be shown in the author's glowing view once again.
However, once again in my opinion I know the "real character traits" of the main political figure, which will allow me to disregard the author's bias while reading the second book in the series.
Book Review: “SLOW COLLAPSE: BEGINNINGS” Kindle Edition by S.M. Little (Author) This was such an engaging novel that I ordered the sequel, “Slow Collapse 2: Control” immediately after reading it.
