Alan Lamb is a special agent for a new federal law enforcement agency called the Genetic Crimes Bureau. Haunted by a tragic car accident that left him scarred twenty years ago, Alan must race against time to bring down a criminal mastermind who is playing a deadly cat-and-mouse game that would have given Sherlock Holmes a run for his money. It begins as a series of elaborate bank heists, but they are anything but average run-of-the-mill robberies. The victims in each of the crimes are also the prime suspects and have no recollection of committing the crimes they are accused of. As the crimes escalate, Alan soon discovers that he may be dealing with something far more sinister than a series of random robberies and terroristic acts. He may have stumbled onto an entirely new and terrifying form of identity theft that could shock the world. And, for Alan Lamb, this might just be personal.

A mystery A thriller

This book is about an agent, more a detective in the GCB (genetics department). A newly created division, investigating genetic crimes.

This book starts with a mystery and just keeps building from there. A good read that I didn't want to put down, so I finished it a two days.

The author has left some things open for a second book, A great start for a new series.

I recommend this book to others that enjoy this genre, but be prepared once you begin you may not stop till this book is finished.

I thought this was a great concept and actually pretty terrifying when you think about it. The beginning grabbed my attention right away. I really enjoyed the main character. About 1/4-1/2 way it got a little slow but picked up after that. Hoping for a follow-up.
