Okay, so I'm not sure who I was when I first reviewed this, but I definitely do not agree with myself anymore. Don't get me wrong, this book was still entertaining and it really takes the possessive alpha male trope to the next level, but I don't understand how I failed to see how cringy and shallow this book actually was... I definitely saw it now though, and I couldn't unsee it.

Oh. My. God. The possessiveness and obsession in this book had me by the throat! It was sooo freaking good!

The darkness in him screamed for the monster in me and I was going to protect him and keep him safe no matter who I had to kill or what I had to destroy. Even if the thing I destroyed was myself.

Please. Don’t let this end in disaster. I couldn’t take that. Not with him. I never prayed, but I wanted to do it to keep him. Didn’t matter who was listening, as long as they realized that I would do anything, burn heaven or hell for what was mine.

When I read the premise, I knew this would probably be a good book, but this good? I didn't see it coming!
The story is about Six and Amadeo. Six stole a lot of money from mafia boss Amadeo, and to pay off his debt, Amadeo makes Six call him 'daddy', and basically makes him do whatever he tells him to do. Six, however, is a feisty one and not a very good listener.
Their dynamic is quite diverse; Yes, Six does call Amadeo 'daddy', and Amadeo is definitely one bossy motherfucker, but Six rebels quite often, and they also have a more sweet side with each other. It's not sub/dom at all, but something hinting at it mixed in with a whole lot of other goodness.

Amadeo was still a huge bastard, but there were moments like this when he was soft and gentle that I sometimes forgot what a monster he was. Why is he being so nice to me?

I’ll make him see this isn’t all I am. I’m not just a monster.

The fierce protectiveness of Amadeo did not only mean that he was jealous as all hell, but he also lost his ever loving shit everytime someone so much as looked at Six wrong. Whenever he acted like that, it had me weak!

“What the fuck? You didn’t have to do that to him!”
“He upset you.”
“So what!” I snapped. “He upsets me so you fuck up his hand? You probably broke something.”
“Maybe,” he said with a shrug before he picked up his untensils and started eating.

Nonetheless, Amadeo's outburtst did freak Six out from time to time, and Amadeo did not want him to be scared of him, which in return, made me weak again.

Six had looked genuinely upset when I hurt Angelo. He’s a lot more delicate than I thought. I had to rein in my temper or I was going to make him terrified of me.

And when Amadeo crossed the line, Six called him out on it. He was in no way, shape or form a doormat. He would give him the cold-shoulder or even run away. It kind of cracked me up, though, because Amadeo and Six both knew that he could run, but he could never hide.

Six couldn’t escape me. He had to know that by now. No matter where he ran or how far he got, I would always be right there to drag him back to me. Six was my boy, my property, my everything. I couldn’t lose the one thing in my life that held any meaning.

I think an important thing as to why this book worked so well was because I genuinely liked both Six and Amadeo. There had been such a high possibility of both of them or at least one of them being a giant dick or pain in the ass, but that was far from the truth.
Six was funny, bratty, ballsy, interesting, sweet, and vulnerable underneath the whole barking chihuahua exterior.
Amadeo was a literal mob boss, who definitely stayed true to his name: he was a killer and took no shit when it came to his business or employees. But then with Six.. He suddenly becomes more sweet. For the first time in forever, he actually feels stuff. He cares. And he definitely gives Six all the affection he deserves.

What was it about Six that made me so… soft?

Seriously, this big bad mafia boss could be a true simp for his Six. Imagine being threatened for your life, and the scary dude shoves his phone in your face, and you see this:

I pulled out my phone and held it up. Six was my wallpaper, grinning at me after he’d just got through torturing me with more of his horrible food choices.

Only problem I really had with this book, however, was that Amadeo's obsession was a little too soon. I would have loved for them to have had a little more time together before Amadeo started to feel all of these things, so it would have had more of an emotional punch.
Eventually, this emotional bond definitely came though, which made Amadeo's obsession and love only grow more and more.
We also find out later that Amadeo had actually been watching Six in his casino for months before the start of this book, so he did actually know quite a bit about him already; making his quick obsession in this story make more sense.

This was a six-month agreement, but I was already getting attached. How could I not? Everything about Six seemed as if he was made for me.

I am honestly sooooo excited for the next book in this series!! This is why I hate reading new series instead of the ones that have been out for ages.. I need it nowww! I have no patience when it comes to the amazingness that is this series!!

I think I have found the MM author version of Jessa Kane. We are gonna have so much fun, when I am in the mood of some unbelievable weed induced story.

The narrator did an amazing job, he gets a medal. He made me sit through this.

Anyhoo, I don't recommend this one, you will lose some brain cells but I had fun laughing all through.

✦ OTT as fuck, kinda stupid at times, but entertaining as hell. i skimmed a little towards the end though. the plot twist was obvious from a mile away, so i kinda just wanted that whole thing to be over already.
✦ as for the mcs, they were definitely cute together. the obsessiveness, protectiveness and possessiveness were delicious.😋
✦ Amadeo was psychopathic, but he was so soft when it came to Six. the dichotomy of this man...

"i might be a killer, but i'm not a dick." a quote straight out of Amadeo's mouth.

✦ anyways this was fun. nothing mind blowing or anything, but it was an easy book to pass the time and get lost in for a while.
✦ i'm definitely interested in reading the next book in the series.

☆ not bad but not that good either. it lacks this certain... gag factor.
☆ highly addicting! got me flicking the pages quickly. i just wanna know what will happen next.
☆ light take on the mafia thing and the characters' obvious bdsm elements.
☆ nothing new much happened but i can assure you my investment was there. the story being fast-paced is a big help.
☆ twist was lackluster but i'm taking it still
☆ possessive characters will always be my sweetest drug. my eyes couldn't look away.
☆ will be on the lookout for the next ones! especially now i know what to expect (and not to expect)

⭐︎ 1.5 "Yes one single character, Six, ruined this whole story for me and I think I could have given it at least 3 stars if Six hadn't been Six" Stars ⭐︎

Dissenting opinion time? Yes, I think it is, as i've mostly seen 3 stars and up for this story from my goodreads friends.

The main reason? Yes, that is because of Six. I could NOT stand him, and he genuinely made what would have been an okay book unbearable.

It gets 1.5 stars for a hot sex scene or two that caught my interest, but that's it. Other than that, even Amadeo, who I think overall was an okay character, couldn't save this damn story. Six was just too insufferable.

Let me explain (Sorry, big rant incoming! And also contains ***SPOILERS**** because I just have to rant and it's all gonna come out as I do, so this is your warning for ***SPOILERS**** if you don't want any):

➤ So we learn at the beginning of this that Six is on the run from the mob, as he stole from them at a casino. Already that's a big yikes, but then pretty soon later on we learn he didn't just steal a little, he stole at least 400k. 400K!! FROM THE MOB.

➤ Now, if he stole from...idk, a corporation, I would understand his attitude toward them, even though he stole from them, because corporations basically steal from their workers - legally, at that - all the damn time, so fuck them. But this is the MOB. We already know they're dirty and underhanded and not people to fuck with. You hear "mob" and you should just KNOW not to mess with them, period. ESPECIALLY don't fucking steal from them, and 400k at that!

➤ But what does Six have the GALL to act like when he is, of course, captured by Amadeo? Incensed that he's been captured and put in a cell - not killed, not tortured, just...put in a cell, the LEAST worst thing the mob could do to you for stealing fucking 400k+ from them, and he has the nerve to whine about it and act indignant and a total fucking BRAT to Amadeo. It's shitty to steal money from someone in the first place, but to do it to a MOB BOSS and then act like YOU'RE the wronged party and he's evil for capturing you is...WILD.

➤ And again, this is the mob. You should go into it expecting them not to treat you kindly or fairly. To act surprised that they could do such horrible things, or things outside the "norm" is just...SO fucking stupid.

➤ Six, despite hating being locked up, refuses Amadeo's other option of being his boy to his Daddy for 6 months to pay off his debt. I fucking can't. And he still acts like the wronged party and how DARE this fucking MOB BOSS!!! do this to him. He eventually changes his mind, but the fact he doesn't jump on that offer at first is wild.

➤ I really didn't understand what the fuck Amadeo saw in Six. I truly don't. Because not once did Six display any interesting, eye catching qualities. He was the worst kind of brat, a total asshole, and treated Amadeo like shit - which, yeah I get it, Amadeo is a big bad mob boss and is yes, holding Six against his will and blah blah blah - but if Amadeo wasn't a mob boss and Six hadn't done anything, that attitude would be totally justified. But come on, what do you expect when you cross the mob? What do you expect when you steal 400k+ from a mob? Was Six just thinking he could get away with it?? Like honestly, what the fuck?

➤ But anyway, Amadeo is like...obsessed with Six and worships him - all while Six acts like brattiest, most immature, annoying little shit ever and I have to wonder WHY??

➤ "Bratty, defiant Six was the sweetest man that I had ever met." WHERE? Amadeo, WHERE and WHEN was Six ever "sweet"??? Color me confused, because not once do I remember Six acting sweet in this whole damn book. Maybe a little nicer than usual, sure, - he had moments, just moments, here and there, where he was okay - but not sweet. Like nope, this boy is not sweet.

➤ Not only was Six incredibly immature and annoying AF, but he was genuinely stupid AF. Not only does he run once, he does it TWICE. The first time is not as bad as he's found pretty much right away - but the fact that he was found so damn fast...what was he looking to accomplish? He KNEW he'd get caught and yet he did it anyway and then got, you guessed it, indignant when Amadeo came along and got angry with him and tried to bring him back home.

➤ The second time he leaves when he KNOWS - FUCKING KNOWS - that someone has THREATENED HIM to get to Amadeo!! Even if he was mad at Amadeo and needed to get away, that fact ALONE should have stopped him. But did this moron use common sense?? NO.

➤ This comes after he asks Amadeo if he loves him, and Amadeo says "I don't know" and Six, WHO DOESN'T SAY HE LOVES HIM HIMSELF, throws a fucking tantrum about it, locks Amadeo out for days, then when Amadeo comes and tries to talk to him, ya know, like an adult, he REFUSES TO! A convo could have solved so much, but does this fucking immature brat - who is 21, by the way, not an actual child - do that? NOPE!

➤ Instead he comes to his own conclusions, without taking that opportunity to talk to Amadeo and get his side of things, whines and cries about it, and then runs away when things are fucking dangerous and gets, you guessed it, captured by the bad guy 🙄🙄🙄

➤ And then other people have the gall to blame Amadeo for Six's immature, moronic behavior? Amadeo's sister says it's Amadeo's fault for "not letting people in" like?? Amadeo didn't make Six throw a fucking tantrum and run away, AGAIN, like a fucking moron.

➤ Earlier his secretary got on Amadeo's case because SIX lost his shit over walking in on Amadeo in a perfectly normal meeting with another guy - the head of the Irish mob - and jumped to his own conclusions, and got upset and had a, you guessed it, tantrum. Now, Amadeo didn't help that situation himself, as he did say some harsh things and wouldn't just tell Six what was going on, true. But at the same time, he should be allowed to have a meeting with another guy, attractive or not, and not have Six jump to the worst conclusions and throw a fit demanding to know what's going on. Also Amadeo isn't obligated to tell him the goings on of his mob duties and such.

➤ I couldn't help but compare this to M.D. Gregory's "The Boss" which I absolutely ADORE. Sloan and Conall are my favorites. What's the difference, though? Why did I love that, when I detested this? Well, Conall was so so SO much more likable. And he has attitude and stood up to Sloan at times, and he was no meek little thing - which this book tried to portray Six as - but Conall also knew when to shut up, when to let it go, and when he fucked up and went a little too far with a fucking MOB BOSS. Also, Conall didn't specifically land himself in that situation, whereas Six did here, and then whined he was in that situation.

Conall's annoyance and frustration with being "forced" to be Sloan's pet made sense, because he didn't make the problem himself that had to be rectified. And he was so much more mature about things. He was frustrated at first and tried to hate Sloan, but he was smart about when to speak up and when to shut up, and to reign in his attitude and when to let it out. He becomes a true partner for Sloan, whereas Six is just an immature, annoying brat, and Amadeo's fascination with him makes no fucking sense, whereas Sloan's with Conall does.

➤ The plot was so-so in this. If Six had been an enjoyable character, and he and Amadeo had really good chemistry, I think the plot in large part is something I could have ignored. This could have gotten 3 or 4 stars in that case. The plot was okay, the surprise of who was betraying Amadeo was okay, and the climax was again...okay. It could have been better, more climatic, but it wasn't a total disappointment.

➤ But I was just so mad at Six all the time, and hating his character so much to really give one shit about the plot, which lends to me giving this one star. When one of the MC's is so unlikable that I couldn't give a shit about the plot, it just...there's no saving the story.

And you guys know, if you've followed my reviews for awhile, that I'm not one to hate a story so much, or so intensely, or hate the MC's quite this much. So when I do...I feel like it takes a lot to get me there.

Well, Six was horrible from page one, and while I hoped, so hoped, he would get better, he just...never did. He would have maybe a small, very small stretch where he was okay and it seemed like he was improving, but then he would do something to ruin it and go back to being insufferable.

I think I get what the author was trying to do - make Six bratty and insolent so he would truly be a "boy" in need of a "Daddy" to wrangle him. But instead none of his bratty immaturity was offset with anything interesting or charming about him. Also, for being a big bad mob moss, honestly Amadeo wasn't the greatest "Daddy" because Six just continued to be a brat, continued to defy him, and continued to be the worst kind of immature moron brat. There was no keeping this asshole in line.

It would have been different if he'd started out this way, but then got better the more he was with his "Daddy" but he just never did, he never changed, he never improved, and he was moronic and insufferable throughout until the very last page.

WHEW....sorry guys, this book set me OFF, in a way which few rarely ever do for me. Six was just so bad that he ruined this whole book for me and that's saying something. In-suff-er-able.

And I'll end my big ass rant there and just move on now from this book, and this horrible fucking character.

What bugged me quite much with this one was that Six was forced into the Daddy/boy kink. Maybe it was his kink all along and would’ve come naturally to him at one point, but still he was forced to call Amadeus „Daddy“ and take the spanking and what not right from the beginning against his will - for Amadeus’ satisfaction alone.

Sure I encountered a few books lately where I was enjoying the Daddy/boy kink quite much. But it was sweet and caring in kind of a tender way. Amadeus’ way tho, with the intend on breaking someone, to own someone, treat him like property (again) against his will is not mine. It was not at all about that Six needed this kind of domination, even if it turned out he liked it.

"I don't give a fuck. No one has permission to touch you. Ever." He grabbed my arm and pulled me toward him. "Do you understand me?"

"You smiled at him." He lifted my chin. "That belongs to me too.“

I’m such a freedom loving person, I can’t deal with this kind of possessiveness. I felt caged by reading this alone.


As for the rest of the book, the story and the romance. Surely it had it’s sweet and swoony and yeah, hot moments but all in all It was just not for me. All the drama and all the "I want him but I shouldn’t“ is just not mine. I simply don’t enjoy stories like that. So I think it’s only fair to not rate this as it is clearly me and my reading preferences and not the book.

Hold on, Six. Daddy's coming.

Holy shit, this book was so good!!!!! 😍🥵

Let me first begin with that I don't usually read books that include a Daddy. After reading this book my reaction was: GIVE ME ALL THE DADDY BOOKS!!! 🤣🤣🤣

"Yes, Daddy."

So, I may or may not want Amadeo for myself. 🤣 Amadeo was so POSSESSIVE and I mean "look at him the wrong way, touch him and I'll kill you" and MINE, MINE, MINE kind of possessive. 👌 If you know me then you'll know I'm dying for possessive MCs. 🙌

I would burn the world down if anyone tried to take away the man I loved.

Six was fiery, strong, couldn't stop talking, and wasn't afraid of Amadeo (most of the time). He stole money from the mob boss and tried to run away but his plans didn't go the way he hoped. Six was sure Amadeo will kill him. There was only one tiny problem - Amadeo had different plans for him.

So, this is a mafia romance. (Check the TW before starting this book if you have triggers!) In my opinion, the mafia part was portrayed satisfyingly. Yes, I would have loved to see a little bit more of the mafia world. Still, it was amazing!!! The focus was more on the romance in this book and hey, I'm not complaining!

The plot was interesting and even though I could predict what was going to happen I still couldn't put my Kindle down. I loved how the relationship between Amadeo and Six progressed. I enjoyed how Six didn't settle for everything Amadeo wanted and fought with him. The relationship between the two of them was kind of special and that made this book so good. 👌 What I enjoyed the most was how they loved and accepted each other the way they were. They didn't try to change each other and gave what the other person needed. I was swooning at some scenes and was awww 😍!!!!!!!!

Some scenes made me laugh and there were others I almost felt frustrated with. If it was in another book, I'm 100% sure I would have been frustrated (when Six did something) but that wasn't the case here. I don't know what kind of magic this book did, but my only reaction was: "Hey, I'm not frustrated at this!? Hmm, surprising. Never mind, KEEP READING!"

I can't deny, that there were parts of this book I didn't like but honestly, they were so minor they didn't affect my reading at all.

I held up a finger and downed coffee like it was going to solve all my problems and make me feel like I wasn't half dead.

I can relate to that Six. 🤣

"The world views me like that, but I don't want that to be all you see in me. I want you to see... something more."

I feel this is gonna be a case of it's me not the book thing, so no rating. Besides I DNF at 58%...

And my reasons are so not cool, so not cool I feel old, but... WHAT THE FUCK WITH ALL THE SEX IN FRONT OF PEOPLE??!!!

And they weren't doing it in situations that made sense! Hear this old lady rant:

Amadeo had a meeting, he had Six blow him under the table, I was ok with this, it was a punishment, it made sense.

THEN!!!! The meeting ended and people got out, so Amadeo proceed to fuck him against the table, again I'm fine with this. Then suddenly all the dudes came back, from the same meeting that had ended.

Whut?

Why is that necessary? 🙉🙉🙉

And amadeo kept fucking him just like that, made no sense.

Fast forward to another couple of chapters, Six scaped and Amadeo caught him and he decided to fuck him in the car, right in front of the driver. And I still think: you're a millionaire, buy a car with a partition.

Because WHAT THE FUCK DID THIS GUYS DO TO HAVE TO WATCH YOU FUCK?!!! Or your dick, or the other guys ass? WHAT DID THEY DO????

It would have been different if it was an environment were all were doing it, the consensual stuff exists. Here Amadeo doesn't care who watches and yeah, he's a mafia dude, but he's also "possesive" and doesn't like people watching his property.

So it just doesn't make sense to me and my brain couldn't get pas that. DNF. 🙃🙃

Six no puede creer que haya robado a ese hombre, pero es que el dinero estaba ahí, y el lo necesitaba y el hombre no. Pero desde entonces ha estado huyendo, con miedo a ser atrapado, y torturado.
Así que cuando lo atrapan, no es lo que esperaba, "El jefe" decide ofrecerle un trato, uno que le permitirá salir de todo esto con vida después de 6 meses. Pero será capaz de darle todo lo que pide? Será capaz de llamarlo Daddy en todo momento? Podrá sobrevivir esos 6 meses?

Es un libro entretenido, vemos a una pareja que podría no pegar con nada, unidos por un "contrato". Pero el carácter de cada prota es super-explosivo, cualquier cosa los hace pelear, y son tan inmaduros (sobre todo Six) que no se da cuenta lo que tiene hasta que se ve entre la espada y la pared. El romance me pareció mas tipo Síndrome de Estocolmo, las escenas eróticas bastante sencillas, y el drama? a veces, demasiado para mi gusto.
En fin, me gusto la historia, me gusto por donde inicia todo y quiero saber quien es el que esta detrás de todo el caos que tiene a los mafiosos alborotados.

4 OTT but loved it Stars!! ❤️🤩. Thank you Imme for recommending this book; it was everything you promised. Crazy possessive mafia older Daddy MC, Amadeo; bratty rebellious and immature in-his-early-twenties MC, Six. The plot was OTT but fast, furious and fun. 😉🥰 Loved how the relationship slowly evolved into something more for both Six and Amadeo. But their insecurities kept them apart mentally for way too long. I didn’t like the violence too much, would have liked it more if it was implied rather than described.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend it to all fans of Mafia-Daddy tropes.👍🏻👍🏻😍

A hot, possessive daddy, and a bratty boy, all wrapped up in a fast paced mafia story.

So yes, it’s not a story where all is laughter and banter and unicorns - Amadeo is a mafia boss, so most time - and to most people- he’s not nice. At all. The only one who gets under his skin seems to be 21 year old Six, who stole from him and who’s on the run.

When he gets caught, Amadeo offers him a deal: be his “boy” for 6 months, then all will be forgotten. Reluctantly, Six agrees. And at the beginning, I didn’t like their relationship, maybe because this whole “call me daddy” thing isn’t really my kink, and having one man call another “daddy” feels a bit weird. But the fast paced story kept me interested, and after a while, I began to understand and like their relationship.

As I said - it’s an OTT mafia story, do you shouldn’t take it too seriously. But I loved how good they were for each other, esp how Amadeo gave Six that what he craved most- a family and people who cares about him.

And I loved the side characters, esp Ama‘s nonna, and Gabriele, his brother.

There is something about a possessive mob boss that is like my crack, I don’t know what it is but I will gobble that shit up! And this book just hit all the right notes there!

I will say the things that irked me were the constant yes we are great together..then Amadeo (which idk why I always want to read armadillo lol) says something stupid to Six and then Six runs and then Amadeo finds him and they make up.. that cycle happened a lot.. and it drove me mental lol

But even with that I was hooked! The writing style was great and I couldn’t put this book down!

Also this was narrated by a new to me narrator Conan Kennedy, he did great there were a few times he mad Six sound like a kid, but other than that it was a great narration, reminded me a little of Zachary Johnson mixed with Teddy Hamilton. I hope book two comes out on audio soon!

Well, I forgot to review this because I forgot I read it 🤣 I can’t even remember the name of the “boy” kidnapped. I had just read this author’s book “Be Mine Bloody Valentine” and wanted to try more but this was just boring. It not only cured my insomnia for a few days but was so forgettable I can’t even do a proper review. 😂 Looks like I put it on my shelves after I finished it though so that will have to do. This will definitely make my “I can’t remember reading this” tally for 2023 🤣

I'm rating this with strong 4.4⭐ and I almost want to round it up to 5⭐, because I believe this book has a very miserable average rating (3.88), when it deserves much, much more.



This book was VERY entertaining. It has a different take on the Daddy/boy trope, I almost feel like the dynamic is set in place for the emotional security the Daddy has to feel in order to really let go and experience love, while the boy in this particular relationship is very much determined, confident and doesn't take any shit, from anyone.
This was fun! 😄

I had a lot of fun reading this book, let me tell you that. This was hilarious, a story that kept you engaged from chapter to chapter, events were rolling in and I can say I enjoyed the story a lot.

I've heard of Amadeo and Six already in Cold and now that I've read their story, I have to say they were poorly represented in that book. There's so much more to them and that coffee incident in that book made me read this one.

Amadeo is the head of the Bianchi mafia family in Atlanta, he's 37 years old, an eternal bachelor, a closed-off, cold-blooded guy that loves his family and keeps a tight hold on his business. For me, he was one of the sexiest daddies I've read about so far, he's sexy, sensual, emotional and loyal, I really liked him.

This was my Amadeo.



His guys catch Six, a 21-year old ex-casino worker, who stole money from Amadeo and they're now trying to track him down and make him pay.
There's not enough said about Six and his past or his time working for the Bianchis, so that was a miss here, we start somewhere in the middle and are picking up the pieces of the puzzle, so that could've been all written in the prologue, so we'd know Amadeo knows already who Six is and not only that, he likes him ; Amadeo was observing him while working, so that was a pretty important piece of information down the line.

This was my Six.



Amadeo finds Six and brings him to a jail cell, with making Six promise him to stay and pay off his debt by indulging in a Daddy/boy dynamic for a few months and then be on his way. Now, have in mind Six is a tough cookie, he's a guy that has to fend for himself, lives in poverty, so he's not timid or submissive, he's an aspiring MMA fighter, so the whole dynamic blows his mind, because he just can't see himself doing it.

He does go for it, because he has no other choice, basically, so Six lives with Amadeo, is his boy and spreads his legs whenever Amadeo wants him to . It's non-con at first, especially the first sex scene was a complete, total hate sex with forced penetration, no prep, nothing, just them cussing each other out and fucking each other like crazy, so that was damn damn hot, man, I loved it, that was crazy hot!

"Six cried out, his nails digging into my back. "Fuck you!" he snapped, his hips moving on their own as he met my firm thrusts and he glared up at me. "You think this is the roughest I've ever been fucked?" he spat. "This is nothing."

🌶️ Six is staying at Amadeo's house, he has to be available at all times, but he's fighting Amadeo all the way, they have a really good push/pull and the sexual tension is palpable, I absolutely loved it and I could't get enough.
I think the sex scenes were detailed and developed, but since we're talking about a time span of 6 months, I think there could be more said about the times that weren't on-page, so we'd know what was going on. They did eventually start spending nights together, so I liked that aswell.

🔵 The emotional part of the relationship was well developed, they weren't going too fast or too slow, there was no insta-love and even when they both knew they felt for each other a lot more than anticipated, they didn't rush into their i-love-you's, it was believable and realistic.

🟣 I very much appreciated the fact that Six wasn't a shy, submissive guy, but I felt he was very much an equal to Amadeo and it wouldn't have worked any other way, Amadeo needed a strong partner, even though as young as he was, I think Six presented emotional maturity and stability that Amadeo longed for and needed.

I realize many reviewers didn't like Six, but whatdoyaknow, he was just up my alley, I love characters like him. 😀

Amadeo leaned over and grunted before he pressed his lips to my ear. "I have never shown anyone this side of me. But I trust you, baby. Keep this side of me safe."



I absolutely loved Amadeo and Six together. Everything about their story just did it for me, it didn't have the very dominant/very submissive dynamic that is usual for this trope, it was funny, sexy and emotional, I appreciated Amadeo's family being involved in the story and the happy ending was satisfying, although the epilogue was cut short, I expected much more for Amadeo and Six, but I think we'll be seeing them again in the next installment.

I couldn't rate this book higher, because it badly needed an editor, I'm sorry to say it, but there were heaps of grammatical mistakes and even though I'm usually quite sensitive about it, I let it slide this time, because I thoroughly enjoyed the story.


I can't wait for the next installment, Calix is an MMA fighter and he's coupled with Gabriele, Amadeo's brother, so I'm very, very excited about that, Calix is supposed to be very feisty and I bet he won't back down, hopefully ever. 😉

Hold On, Six — Daddy is coming 🤣🤣🤣

I swear this book wasn’t meant to be funny… but it’s the funniest book I’ve read all month. On paper, it promised: ruthless mob boss + bratty boy = angsty, steamy chaos. In practice? And I went in screaming yessss bring it on 🤤🤤🤤

Then sighhh and here’s why


🪓 Axe-Wielding Daddy Energy

At one point, Amadeo decides to break down a locked door. Mafia men in movies kick doors, right? Not this Daddy. He shows up with a whole axe. While hacking away, he even thinks:

“I could have gotten wood in my eye, but even that didn’t matter to me right now.”

Sir, you run a mob empire, and your big dramatic thought is “splinters in my eye”? Please.
Maybe if you’re worried go call your men to open it with a spare key or something?!

And when Six throws a phone at his head, Amadeo’s reaction is:

“You could have killed me with that.
Yeahh Six! What were you thinking?

And Sir, you kill people for breakfast, and you’re scared of a Samsung Galaxy??

👶 Our Not-So-Bratty Brat

Six isn’t bratty, he’s immature. He asks: “Do you love me?” Daddy says: “I don’t know.”
I would like to add here.. Six himself never said the three words he wished to hear back.

Cue Six: instant meltdown. He runs away, gets himself kidnapped, and has the audacity to think:

“Any minute Amadeo is going to come through that door and kick his ass( he is referring to his kidnapper) I had faith in my Daddy… I knew that he loved me.” 🤨🤔🫠🥴😂

Sir. You ran away because he wouldn’t say he loved you. Nothing changed. But sure, “deep down he loves me.” 🤡

Later, Amadeo rescues him and Six sobs:

“I’m okay now that you’re here. I want to go home.”

Home to the same Daddy who still hasn’t said I love you. Make it make sense.

🌋 Emotional Volcano of the Week

• Amadeo whispers:
“I have never shown anyone this side of me. But I trust you, baby. Keep this side of me safe.”
• Six: bursts into tears, feverishly nods, and declares he’ll protect Amadeo every single day of his life.

Oh for Fuck sake you two… I give up
On both of you to make sense

Both are operating at a level of drama usually reserved for Shakespearean death scenes.

🥴 Final Take

Look. As a mob romance? ⭐️⭐️
As unintentional unhinged comedy? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

BUT… crumbs of drama keep me flipping pages although took me forever to finish the book.

But yeah, this wasn't great. It wasn't terrible either. Quite a lot of telling and not enough showing. Zero relationship buildup and meh character evolution. The continuous back and forth between Ama and Six was infuriating and not in a good way. There were moments when Six was a real brat and it had me cackling (the ties and books was funny). And, as always, when there's a daddy kink I'm equal parts cringing and giggling.
But I ate this shit up. So there's that.

I didn't know someone could get on my nerves to such a degree that I'd be willing to kill them for free until I met Six💀. I was looking forward to some badass mafia scenes from Amadeo too but he was like an overgrown kid with anger issues instead. The story line was far from boring though and I think the only reason I completed the book.

As someone who neither reads BDSM nor Daddy books, this surprised with how much I enjoyed it! Of course having to scream about it with a bookish bestie was an added bonus. I will always ALWAYS devour a book with a possessive MC lmao and Amadeo was 🥵🥵 kinds of possessive! I also really loved Six and his strength. And most especially, I loved watching both of them fall in love with each other!

This book had the potential to be pretty good but it just fell flat for me. I barely felt much chemistry and connection between both Main characters and the plot of the story seemed rather slow paced and boring. Considering it’s labeled as a “mafia” romance, I expected much more from this read but sadly did not get it. I did enjoy reading this and getting to know Six and Amadeo, but frankly I just wasn’t that impressed with it at all. It’s missing that “Wow” factor of it.

2.5 stars rounded up. I'm not sure what happened here. The book started off intriguingly - a mafia boss forces a young, dumb, beautiful boy to call him daddy after said boy is caught stealing from him. They have a seriously dub-con type thing going on at the beginning but it was so so so hot. The daddy/boy thing is always a bit cringe but worked here because of the absolute power Amadeo had over Six. Six was an absolute brat and fought Amadeo at every step, and in the first half of the book, this made for some pretty spectacular sex scenes. However, their relationship, such as it is, goes through these wild alpine swings from cannot get enough of you to I hate you, I'm going to kill you. This back-and-forth happened one too many times, it got old. I also didn't particularly find the MCs likable or have much sympathy for them. The writing seemed to fizzle a bit in the second half and it was definitely not as fun to read as the first. Some very random plot points emerge that felt like they came out of nowhere, and honestly, by about 70%, I almost DNFed because I was bored. It would have been a different book if it didn’t keep repeating itself over and over.

Wowzers

I will admit that the beginning of this one was rough going for me but then it started to pick up and suddenly, I was sucked in.

Six and Ama were both very messed up and not at all right, but they did compliment each other and that was good to see. Poor Six was raised badly. His family used to be rich then lost it all. His mom drinks and he sent all his money to them even though he was the youngest. That's how all this started, he saw an easy way to get some money, even if he did steal it from a mob boss. Said mob boss, Ama, was a stereotypical mob guy, though it was weird to read about Atlanta being the city they worked in and not seeing southern accents. I'm from SC, there be accents in the south.

There was betrayal from someone close to the boss and the overarching story about that was not resolved in this one story.

Being a mob trope, this does have noncon, murder, and mayhem in it so be forewarned.

Slight spelling and grammar errors do exist in here, but not bad enough to take me out of the story much.

Six is on the run after messing with the wrong man, Amadeo Biachi. Six may be tough and scrappy, but he’s no match for the head of Bianchi mafia family. Just when he’s sure he’s come to the end of his life, Ama offers him a deal. And it’s not what he expected…Ama wants to be his Daddy.
Their relationship starts quite rocky; Six is an absolute brat and Ama is a dominant Daddy to the nth degree. But the more they get to know each other, the more they see there’s more to them then what’s on the surface.
As these two are getting to know each other, there is also a traitor in Ama’s organization but he can’t put his finger on it. He’s always been incredibly protective of his family, but his protection of Six is next level.
This had an exciting and fast plot, and Six and Ama are hilarious, Wild, and so sexy together.
