Reunions can be murder, especially when the past refuses to stay buried.
Myrtle is less than thrilled to receive an invitation to her high school reunion. Fond memories of her teenage years? Not quite. Besides, who throws a 67th reunion, anyway? But curiosity gets the better of her when she learns that several classmates are making the trek from far-flung places.
The reunion turns out to be a haphazard affair, with a sparse turnout. Things take a turn for the mysterious as the event unfolds. Who organized this affair? Who sent out the invitations? And what’s the real reason behind the oddly-timed gathering?
When a body is discovered, the reunion goes from awkward to alarming. It’s up to Myrtle and her trusty sidekick Miles to unravel the mystery before anyone else takes a fatal trip down memory lane.

When Sloan Jones calls with a request for Myrtle to cover a story about her 67th high school reunion, Myrtle is surprised to hear it’s happening at all. Never one to miss an opportunity to show up where she’s not wanted, Myrtle goes to her class reunion for the newspaper. She discovers only a few of her classmates at the high school, and they are all a strange bunch. Then the woman who organized the reunion turns up dead in the school. It’s up to Myrtle to delve into her classmates’ lives and find out just who wanted their class president silenced, and why.
This is a great addition to the series, with a new twist. Lieutenant Perkins is absent, replaced by somebody who is far more concerned about Myrtle and the suspiciously high number of bodies she’s found. With all the usual characters, this book is yet another great mystery to add to Myrtle’s list. An added bonus is that after sixty-seven years, Myrtle seems to be the cream of the crop in terms of dating prospects. And of course, Winston was in her class. If you enjoyed any of the other Myrtle Clover stories, this is one you’ll want to read.
