Winding The Clock Back: The 60's Relived - Village Style

Rate this book
A journey down Memory Lane that evokes very strong recollections of times past. The book is set in the 1960's; the childhood era of author Dave Kenneth who was born and raised in the mid-Cheshire village of Moulton - commonly known then as 'Little Hell'! The story starts in this 'rum place' with the birth of the Author and what follows would not be out of place in Peter Kay's 'Phoenix Nights' or 'The League of Gentlemen'. It's a poignant, funny and at times tear-jerking book. One you'll never forget. Original illustrations by Bill Tidy. REVIEW FROM FORMER MOULTON RESIDENT... "'Don't miss! A fantastic return to extraordinary English Village life in the 60's!!! What a nickname back then-"Little Hell" ! The author was a natural at School in English Lit; pity he didn't write this sooner. Done the village proud Dave Kenneth! Superb value for money and worthy of a decent paperback and a place on the High Street book shelves. Attention to detail, research and memory terrific. The 'quotes' are all very apt, as are Bill Tidy's wonderful drawings. Was laughing one minute and crying the next; most touching at times. Very poignant comment from previous reviewer about play or a film? Danny - you listening? - Boyle! Joanne M. Australian'ex' pats Tourist Group.
