I had so much fun with this book! I love the characters even more than in the first book.
It was a fun adventure with real stakes, intense scenes, I couldn't stop listening to the audiobook when I got to the last part.
Although it is a bit cliché in some parts, and often very over the top, it's very well written to include important discussions for a young audience and a lot of cool cinematic scenes for everyone.
In this book, even more than in the first one, I get the vibe of Percy Jackson and Indiana Jones. I am so excited to continue this series!

3.75 Star for a solid ending.

I'm not sure why but I didn't connect with this one as well as I did the first book in the series. This was still a solid fun adventure to follow along though and I plan to continue with the series as time allows. They are short enough to just squeeze in when I'm looking for a break from other longer stories.

Summary: Things have gotten a bit better in the lives of our team of adventurers, but the temptation of a rumored city of gold is too much for any of them to pass up. And soon, their explorations lead them into trouble with the law and new baddies that put all their dreams (and lives) at risk.

Pros: Good follow up and I can’t imagine anyone who liked the first novel being disappointed with this as we get more puzzles, more magical fights/action, and even some cute relationship building with all our main characters (*kissy face*).

We also got to explore a bit more of the world as this one had more of a roadtrip feel and leaves room for more adventures in the future.

Great!

Cons: I probably just missed something, but with all the treasure the heroes got last time, it seemed a bit odd to me that they were so desperate for cash again in this book, but I’m willing to bet I just missed something on that point. And I can’t really complain if it keeps our treasure-hunters out treasure-hunting. 😉

Conclusion: Really enjoying this series. Keep them coming!

Well done Michael Webb, you have really given us an adventure to have fun with. I might even be brave enough to say it reminds me of Indiana Jones!
While it states that this book is a YA, I would clarify that it is fun for all ages. How do I know, I am grandmother who just adored this book.
I love the puzzles that carry this adventure forward and the dynamic between our characters along with the great world building.
If I have one complaint, it is that it ended and the 3rd in the series is out of reach lol. I can't wait until it comes out and we can jump back in this series!
As with book one, I was given an Arc to read and would like to thank Michael I have thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to one and all!

As much as I enjoyed the first book, this one was so much better! I have really grown to care about this group of treasure hunters with supernatural powers. I love their taste for adventure and their loyalty to each other before anything else. What a ride this one was! Non-stop action, twists at every turn, and breathtaking suspense. I found myself picking it up every spare minute I had. It kind of feels like an adult Goonies to me. Highly fun series for anyone who loves adventure tales!

Michael Webb has done it again. This treasure hunting tale is full of all the things his readers love; characters you care about, plot twists, and plenty of action and intrigue! I love how the characters have distinctly different personalities but they all work together and sacrifice together to help each other and to achieve their goals.

Legend of the Golden City is a great sequel to Fortress of the Lost Amulet! The treasure hunter friends Peter, Kira, Rylan, and Sephiri are back and thrust into a new adventure with even higher stakes! Webb's newest novel propels the series to new areas, more mystery, and deeper danger!

The adventure continues

We go back with the group and with Peter. In the last book, it as almost as if their problems were solved and they were set for life, but here we see them again looking for work and a way forward. Peter's obsession with the army is stronger in this one, even if his need for money should be gone. The group gets in trouble, and clues for a new mystery almost fall into their hands again. This time is a matter of life and death. It looks like they are set for failure, and they have not one but two criminal groups going after them.

Some lessons they should have learned in their previous adventure must be learned again here. In the end they made the right choices and managed to defeat their foes, and everything worked out for them.

The adventure in this book is better, with more action, and they travel more. I'm kind of looking forward to seeing what else they find.

Once again, Michael Webb has written a brilliant adventure book.
Yes, it involves teens, but is the book only for YA, no way. It reminds me of the treasure hunting films that I've loved since I was small (Indiana Jones, National Treasure, maybe even a little of Jumanji).

It carries on from the previous book, but it is a bit of a separate story. This time, the group are trying to find the Lost City of Kyltaria, as before they encounter lots of trouble and some betrayal mixed in that slow them down.

It's a well written book with good engaging characters and great world building. This book, like the last one, is more story and character built. The world isn't that important until they get to the Lost City. It was a nice, easy to understand read and like before I thoroughly enjoyed it. The power system that Michael has done is brilliant. These characters don't just have a limitless supply, so they have to be careful, and as each character has a different power, they have to work as a team a lot throughout the story.

I would like to thank Michael again for giving me this book as an ARC, I have thoroughly enjoyed it and these are all my own views
