This book is solid gold! Read it ASAP!
Honorée Corder’s book Business Networking is pure gold!
I already knew that networking is invaluable, but I never read a book dedicated to the subject. Yet, Honorée kicks this concept up a couple of notches by helping us supercharge our efforts to nurture long-term professional relationships that create mutual value for both sides. Her book doesn’t just say, go forth and network, but she gives us her straight-forward but brilliant strategy to explain how we can become rainmakers for our organization.
Honorée’s premise is that we have many key people in our business lives who, in time, could benefit substantially our professional work, so we must regularly focus our time strategically on them. To do this, she developed a strategy called the 12x12 Matrix that assures you develop intentional professional relationships with potentially high-yield clients over time. You establish a genuinely mutually beneficial professional relationship through multiple possible touch points each year. Eventually, you will be foremost in their mind when they want your services or can make a referral to you.
The start of this book is a little basic, but she wants to take the time to assure her readers understand the fundamentals of why networking matters. By the time you get to the second half of the book, when you get to the 12x12 Matrix and how to use it, it will rock your networking world!
Business Networking is brilliant — plain and simple.
If someone is a networking expert, then maybe this isn’t the book for them. Admittedly, that isn’t my situation. I already have set into action her plan and can instantly see how it yields fantastic results! Don’t just take my word for it though. Read Business Marketing yourself to find out.

A practical guide to networking that goes beyond handing out business cards and hoping for the best. Honoree offers a practical how-to guide that is efficient while being respectful to those you wish to be in your network. I highly recommend this book.
