Wow, this was awful.
First off, it's about 50 pages too long. By the last plot twist I was just "yeah, whatever, get on with it"
Also, I think it's disgusting that Sophie decides her marital problems are partly caused by her house not being a "temple of seduction". That's right ladies, your husband won't be interested in you unless your house is clean!
Oh, and the narrator switching from firsts to third person? Kinda irritating

The book tells the story of Anna Terry, a mother of two, who falls in love with Nick Diamond while she is waiting to pick her divorce papers. Without meaning, she lies to Nick about having children and about her state of financial ruin, but when she gets a job as Nick’s PA, she’ll be no longer able to hide the truth.
While, I’m gonna be supper honnest. I like the story, it’s too romantic and too good but it would’ve been better as a movie. Although I’m no longer a sucker for romances , I really enjoyed the book. It made me wonder what I would do if I was in Anne’s situation. The characters are so well rounded I really feel like I know them. This is the first time I read for Carole and I can say she creates very familiar areas and ordinary people with ordinary lives and that definitely can make anyone excited to know more

4,me gustó la historia es diferente a lo que había leído ya que ella es madre soltera de 2 niños, tratando de salir adelante en la vida después de que su 2do marido la dejara, Nick es un amor no había leído un personaje como el tiene un noble corazón que igual fue dejado por su esposa, la manera en que se conocen y empiezan a enamorarse uno del otro es bonita, pero me falto mas capítulos en que demostrarán más su amor.

I think Carole Matthews may be my new favourite author. I won a copy of 'You Drive Me Crazy' in a contest from one of my local second-hand bookstores, among other books (will be read and rated soon.)

This was a very similar read to my last book, Calling Romeo by Alexandra Potter. I am very noticing a pattern where the bored lonely exhausted housewives cheat, but then again they have husbands who are either abusive or plain useless.

I loved Anna's character. She may not have had the best choices in picking husbands, but she always thought of her kids, unlike Sophie in utter comparison. Poppy and Connor (Anna's kids) had a lot of character which made the book more interesting.

In my opinion, Sam and Sophie's characters were SO disgusting. Being a mother of 2 Sophie should not have run after a man who was still in the process of developing his brain. But then again this made the book interesting.

And how can we forget dear old Nicholas Diamond, aka Nick? He was a gem who ended up with a cow - author's words, not mine, Janine. She makes me so angry. But not as angry as Bruno makes me. Another one of the many emotions this book evoked in me.

I saw many reviews stating the book was too long and could be shortened. While I do not agree with that, I do feel like the ending was a little bit rushed, or so I say it was my least favourite part of the book. I would have loved to see a little bit of the family life that Nick and Anna always dreamed of having with the kids.

Slow burner... 0-60 in a few chapters... (excuse the pun) but it’s a beautiful story that is so relatable, so keep with it.

Switching up the narrator is interesting, it separates the characters nicely, almost in a Love Actually type of way. All of the characters are individually endearing and their stories all merge perfectly. I have read a few books in this style before so I’m okay with it to be honest, but if it’s not your thing then that’s okay too, all I would say is just appreciate it for what it is as it’s something ultra-norm.

The main character Anna reminds me of one of my friends (this includes the REALLY awful situation she finds herself in - you’ll know what I mean when you read it) and it tugged on my heart strings.

Just when you think the end result MIGHT be what it is... well... it is... but they got there in the most awkwardly realistic and lovely way!

Es un libro que se lee fácil, pero a mi no me ha terminado de encantar, me ha resultado un poco frustrante y se nota que está escrito a principios de los dos mil por ciertos comentarios o cómo se tratan algunos temas, lo que hace que le baje la puntuación.
Me he reído en algunas partes y si te genera ganas de saber cómo van a desarrollarse las situaciones, y repito que se lee con facilidad, pero no puedo decir que me haya gustado mucho...

Just what the doctor ordered. I’m not feeling well and have been in bed with flu so this book was perfect for my rest time. I loved everyone in it and am so pleased about Anna and Nick. I wonder if, Carole, you would possibly write a second book about Sam and Sophie? I’d like to see them get together. Or maybe see them in another book but find love with other people. But everyone from You Drive Me Crazy as a group of friends again would be a great read.

i really enjoyed the way this was written and the characters your everyday Joe - they weren't billionaires or jaw droppingly beautiful, it was just the average person on the streets story and it was really refreshing.

the Reason it isn't 5 star was i wanted more of Nick and Anna together, i appreciated that the story focused on friendships and support too, but i would have liked a little more than what was given to deal their fate.

I really enjoyed this book. At first, I didn’t think I was enjoying it, but then I had read 160 pages over 3 nights so I think that shows how interested I was! I loved the characters and the story, however I would have preferred the happy ending to have begun sooner than it did. A great evening/holiday read :)

Wanted to read a nice easy chick lit book for Valentine’s Day and this one didn’t disappoint. The characters were likeable from the outset - it would have been nice to have the happy ending a little earlier in the book. The book definitely touched on real life and skirted around quite a few things most of us can relate to in relationships.

easy read, short chapters. i finished it in one sitting.
would have given this 4 stars if the characters weren't so dumb at times (and rather unrealistic). They're still likeable but the things they did... Who would kiss their boss on the first day of work? And what playboy would fall for Ordinary You (Sophie's married btw) after a typical one-night stand?

No plot surprises here but we don't expect them in this genre, it is about characters we can relate to and their path to happiness. A lovely story from a writer who has only once disappointed me in the 10 books I have read by this author.

Great book with a really good story line, typical of Carole Matthews.

Loved Anna and Sophie, Nick and Sam and the intricacies betwen them. Not all relationships run smoothly- and not all marriages are what they appear to be.

This may be an older book of Caroles, but its definitea goodie!

This book realizes the life of a mother, we can see Anna Terry (the main character) can do a lot of things, we need a friend like Sophie always taking care of the son and daughter of Anna, but sometimes she needs a brain.
