Pinkalicious, Pinkalicious, Pinkalicious, what a name to call your child, but for this bright-eyed little girl it suits her just perfectly. The epitome of a girly-girl with all the frilly touches that every princess needs, this little girl surly must give her parents a run for their money.

"The Pinkerrific Playdate" is a cute tale about a girl meets a new friend and invites her over for a visit. Now, typically, when children meet a new student at school they tend to avoid them just because they're new, but never Pinkalicious- she can make friends anywhere, anytime. This story was very well written, and is an inspiration to children everywhere- never judge a person by their cover, everyone needs a friend.

Pinkalicious books are always cute and fun. I liked that this one showed how to include younger siblings in your fun, while playing the way you would like to.

These books are trash. They reinforce the notion that girls have to like pink and only wear dresses. Also the name? WTF??? Pinkalicious? Really? Ugh

Opening: Today we are going to read a book from our class library. It's about a girl who has a play date with a new girl in class. Have any of you every had a play date? What did you do together? Well while we are reading today I want you to remember all of the things that make them good friends and we can add them to the list of friend characteristics.

Opening Moves:
Prompt listeners to notice details.
Prompt brief sharing of personal experiences related to the topic or theme.

Rational: I will use this book to help introduce the class leveled library which contains books they can read at their level. I will also use this as an opportunity to create community in the classroom at the beginning of the year. The students will focus on characteristics that will help to reinforce "building character" in the classroom, which is a behavior strategy I use.

Friendship is a fun thing to experience when you're a young girlie and this is a great early reader about just that, with a new girl for Pinkalicious to be-friend. Plenty of plans are set aside when time flies as you're having fun. This is a pretty good story for the lovers of Pinkalicious picture books in early reader easy sentences format. This is included in the Pinkalicious: Pink-a-rama box set that I own and I believe it will be in the Pinkalicious: The Pinkamazing Storybook Collection book as well. (How I love storybook treasuries!)

Another installment in the I Can Read...Pinkalicious series. I just don't find this book as lovable, likeable as the original picture books. The book feels a bit choppy and the story line isn't unique. Pinkalicious befriends a new girl in school and they become fast friends. A play-date is arranged and Pinklacious has so much planned, only she has to include her little brother, Peter. To find out what she has planned, how Peter is included, and what they accomplish, you will need to read the book.

There's a new girl at school and she's coming over for a playdate with Pinkalicious! What are they going to do together?
Another cute installment of Pinkalicious. I especially loved the list that Pinkalicious made of things to do with Rose when she came over, mostly because K has been doing that since she was 4! I also liked the "we'll play some more another day" concept - that is a concept we struggle with when K doesn't get to cross all the things off her list before her friend has to go home!

I Can Read Level 1 Beginning Reading. Simple sentences for eager new readers.

A playdate with a new classmate, Rose, featuring Pinkalicious and her little brother, Peter. Lots of pink and purple on every page. The threesome play a variety of indoor and outdoor games and although they are sad that there fun has to come to an end they are excited for their new found friendship.

Let me just note that I pretty much love all things Pinkalicious, even though I do not really care for the color pink.

This was a wonderful story of friendship.

Pinkalicious took a little warming up to for me. However, now that I have read several, I do find them entertaining. Plus, my daughter loves Pinkalicious and her independent and unique spirit!

I think this a good book for beginner readers. It's short enough to hold kids attention and still tells a short story. I would recommend this book to others.
