C. G. Cooper is the USA TODAY and AMAZON BESTSELLING author of the CORPS JUSTICE novels, several spinoffs and a growing number of stand-alone novels.
One of his novels, CHAIN OF COMMAND, won the 2020 James Webb Award presented by the Marine Heritage Foundation for its portrayal of the United States Marine Corps in fiction. Cooper doesn't chase awards, but this one was special.
Cooper grew up on a steady diet of Dungeons & Dragons and the travels of a Navy family.
Upon graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Foreign Affairs, Cooper was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and went on to serve six years as an infantry officer. C. G. Cooper's final Marine duty station was in Nashville, Tennessee, where he fell in love with the laid-back lifestyle of Music City.
His first published novel, BACK TO WAR, came out of a desire to link back to his time in the Marine Corps. That novel, written as a side project, spawned many follow-on novels, several exciting spinoffs, and catapulted Cooper's career.
Cooper lives just south of Nashville with his wife, three children, and their German shorthaired pointer, Liberty, who's become a popular character in the Corps Justice novels.
Once again in this 3 Book Series ( 4-6 ) there were a lot of unexpected twists that take place, and the series kept me me wanting more with each page I read. I’m really enjoying this author, and have recommended this series to all my friends. Great reading for both men and women. Didn’t expect that Cal and his men would be making so many changes...... But, I liked it as read along. Can’t wait to see what is going to happen in books ( 7-9 ) series😍 Do Yourself a favor and order them today. Off for some late night reading. Pammie M
"We hold these truths to be self evident, that all (people) are created equal; that all are endowed with certain unalienable rights, included are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." (T.J.:1776) . "When can we go to Iraq?" (C.S.:Book 6, Corps Justice)..."When will the world (WE) rid the world of the stench of Adolf Hitler and the tragedy of suppression of T.J.'s gift of basic human rights by ruthless, worthless, inhuman, dictators!?!" (B.A.,2019) reader and eternally hopeful fan of Corps Justice...
These books are amazing. Characters are intriguing. Plots are complex and lots of danger and action. The seamless transition from one book to the next was helpful to keep following the string of the long game story line. Getting inside the mind of the bad guys makes bringing them to justice (one way or another) very satisfying. I loved the unexpected plot twists. I totally want to meet these guys in real life (sigh). But living with them on the pages is fascinating. I thoroughly enjoyed these books.
Cooper is tapped into the spirit and character of the U.S. Veteran. He tells a great story with characters that feel authentic to people I got to know and admire during my time in the service. I got the first three books free and had the option of the next set free but paid for them so I could re read the series later. A great storyline at a great pace... A great read.
Talk about brothers at arms. These guys would do any thing for one another. Some of the stories make you think of todays political climate. Only through hard work and a few bruises the Marines are able to stop cheats, liars and just ought right bad people. This book is definitely a page turner.
While I have loved me some WEB Griffin, C.G. Cooper may take on the mantle. I love some of the "hat tipping " to that author (Famous Grouse), and if Cal would recover from his loss he could be another Pick Pickering. Overall a great read of these 6 books. Now time to start #7.
I love these stories - both for reading and listening to. They have kept me company on many road trips. The characters are well developed and begin to feel like part of the family. I would love to be able to invite Cal and Daniel and the rest of the guys over for Thanksgiving dinner!!! Well worth reading!!!
Good story bordering on fantasy. What I Luke most about this author is that his politics are more or less neutral. That is refreshing. Bad guys and good guys are mixed across the aisle. Be it that this was a true story.
Just what you would expect, following in line with The Corps Justice Series. Looking forward to finishing the series. The author, CG Cooper knows how to get your attention.
Once again each scenario is very unique and somewhat original. Likewise, the action has been building in intensity from a mugging gone bad in book 1 to "24" and saving the world by Book 4. The stories are addictive. Not sure when I'll tackle book 7 though.
C. G. Cooper writes books full of adventure, mystery, and lots of action. In this group a new group is formed with well know characters but the same objectives.
Excellent read. The honor, courage and character of the military men strikes to the heart of the real military. Great writing, keeps your attention from start to finish.
Really enjoyed reading the first six stories. Hard for me to put down. I hope this series continues, looking forward to book seven. USMC 58 to 62 Semper Fi!
