*Review of audiobook-version*
Dark erotica/BDSM short story narrated by the author. The story, is told from the POV of the woman in the story and features non-consenting sex (rape play).
Brief synopsis: A couple,- a Dom and his sub, have arrived at an unknown location in the middle of nowhere. It's a game: he let's her go, and then he hunts her. Great story for anyone who likes that feeling like prey: of being hunted down and taken.
What I like about the story is its everyday setting. That is, the Dom and sub are already in a relationship and they know each other well, yet they find ways to explore different sides to themselves and their dynamic.
It portrays a BDSM relationship between two people that could easily be anyone. As such, it's not so far from reality that it becomes too abstract a story to relate to. And besides,- they are in a stable and established relationship,- not just meeting for the first time. In fact, one of my favourite part of romantic BDSM books is AFTER they get together and the dynamic they share at that point. That part of the story is rarely included since they normally end with a HEA :/ So this story sets itself apart from the crowd.
