A well-crafted crime, action and adventure story...
Just Pack: Simon Pack Novel # 7 by John M Vermillion is a wonderfully written and richly descriptive novel with brilliantly drawn characters and settings. The author weaves a well-crafted crime action and adventure that will captivate the reader from the opening chapter. Skillfully constructed, this well-written tale will have you turning the pages from beginning to end. There’s plenty of imagery in the writing style that makes you feel you are right there in the story, and that’s something I look for in a good book.
This was a captivating read that had me immersed from the beginning. The story flowed from scene to scene with ease, and the author shows exceptional ability when it comes to storytelling. I enjoyed the story, character development, and dialogue. There were plenty of interesting moments that I didn’t see coming and that added to the book’s mystique. When I stopped reading to work, I found myself wondering what happened in the book, and replaying parts of the novel in my head to see if I could figure more out. It has been a while since I enjoyed a book this much.
I’ll be looking forward to reading more from this author the future. I would highly recommend this book. Five stars from me.

Defender for the People
Just Pack: Simon Pack Novel #7 by John M. Vermillion is an intriguing, well-written and engaging novel that blends old-fashioned police work, modern day law-enforcement equipment and enlisting of a champion in the fight for the common landowner.
Simon Pack, a former Marine Corps General and well-known modern day legend, has been activated. Under LEOSA, Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act, Pack has been asked to look into the area of the state in which it seems that 850,000 acres of land has been purchased. Added to the suspicion of something peculiar is that this land has been purchased in recent months and is contiguous or adjoining each purchase with the other.
Along with his canine companion, Keto, Pack begins his investigation and bases his operation out of a small town where the individuals are resistant to large takeovers from various corporations as well as being lovers and respecter's of the land that they grew up on.
One such hard-working individual is a woman by the name of Sky. Pack admires her physical strength, work ethic and her beauty. Perhaps there is love for Pack even after the tragic loss of two married wives.
Add in the land grabber by the name of Eutaw Lane and his band of mercenaries and you have a entertaining and adventuresome read with strong overtones of preserving the land that is passed down from generation to generation, but not really owned but managed.

This book is a new twist in the series of books written by author John M. Vermillion based on the character, Simon Pack. This character has been through many stories before: General, West Point Superintendent, homeless, governor of Montana and writer, but perhaps this is one of the most important stories, as they will bring out their side of justice to help others. On this occasion, Simon feels the need to go on the road, perhaps in search of new emotions or simply to get out of his life for a while and leave the place alone with his dog. But throughout the days, Pack finds the problem he was looking for. A necessary question is asked: a person accumulates countless continuous acres of land in a short time, land that had been transmitted from generations. At that time, Pack meets Lane, a corrupt and wealthy landowner who has the county government firmly under his control.
The book is a very entertaining and quick action story to read the course of history that places us in each scene. Pack's character develops strongly and the rest of the characters are well defined and numbered.
I read this book in just a few days, IT caught me. I liked it and it entertained me. I definitely recommend reading this book.

Another exciting action-packed novel
John M. Vermillion, as far as I know, is a good author. His style of writing is impressive. Just Pack is another interesting story centered that revolves around Simon Pack. If you are an ardent follower of Vermillion, then you must have come across the character before.
Simon is a man with a lot of experiences then you talk Simon Pack. This time he is on a new life as a detective. In this book, seven Simon Pack walks head-on into a conflict between a crooked government official and a super-wealthy landowner.
The story is full of adventure and twists with the power to keep you glued. The moment I opened the first page I had to read to the last page. Among the interesting characters contained in the book is a dog named Keto. This dog is one endearing character that every reader would love to meet.
I so much enjoyed reading this book. It is one book I will love to recommend to any lover of action-adventure. Go ahead and add it to your collection and have fun reading.

As soon as readers open the engaging Just Pack: Simon Pack Novel #7, their interest would be promptly aroused. It is a reader-friendly and thought-provoking book divided in chapters and well-written in the third person.
One of the good things about Just Pack is that you do not need to read the previous books of the series in order to understand this one.
Something that I also like and that comes in handy is the fact that at the very beginning the main characters are mentioned and described, what makes the reading easier to follow through.
The book is vividly descriptive, with a lot of symbolism that would make readers feel as if they were right on the setting.

Simon Pack has had many different jobs and titles during his life. Marine general, Superintendent, Governor, and even hobo. As his turn as a Governor ends, he sets his sights on a new project. He meets people who have been forced of their land, land that has been in the family for generations. When he decides to help them, he encounters Eutaw Lane, a ruthless businessman who has the local governmental agencies fully under his heel. How far will Simon have to go to right the wrongs that Eutaw has done?
A classic good against bad book, this was a feel-good story in that an honest man comes into a community and sees the wrongs and decides to make them right instead of moving on. The characters were well developed, and the villain had depth, which was god. Many books, the villain is almost a caricature of what they could be, but this book is different. I enjoyed the book; it was very well written.

A Must Read!
This is a great thriller book written by John Vermillion. It is called “Just Pack: Simon Pack novel # 7. It caught my attention from the very beginning that is why I devoured it.
As the title of the novel reflects, the story is focused on Simon Pack´s character; a retired three-star Marine General, a Superintendent, hobo, Governor of Montana, writer, among other jobs. “He was a military man accustomed to frequent new challenges, new problems to solve”- so he is open to change; He longs to start a brand-new life.
It is a well-written story. There are many events that make Simon´s life intriguing; creating a main character very likeable and well-developed, as well. It goes without saying that the other characters complete and make the plot much more interesting.
All in all, I really enjoyed it. The way it is written is fantastic; it flows perfectly and makes the reading entertaining. I truly recommend this book.

This is my first time reading a novel from this author: John M. Vermillion. “Just Pack: Simon Pack Novel # 7” is an action- packed novel with a lot of spicy ingredients that you will enjoy a lot. This is the seventh book in this series but, something important to mention is that you don’t need to read the previous books to understand this one. They are all separate stories.
This fiction book is written for a general audience. It is perfect for these particular days we are going through. The book is full of interesting characters. They are all well-described and you easily empathize with each of them. Moreover, it has a good story line. Each chapter is more exciting than the last one, I really enjoyed reading all of them.
I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys thriller books. If you like being at the edge of your sit, eating your nails wanting to know what will happen next, this book is perfect for you. Enjoy it!

In the story, Simon, who is an honest man, sees the wrong that is happening into a community and he decides to help them. He confronts ethical questions and tries to make them right.
The plot of the story is very well developed and characters are really believable, they help to create a sense of a team. It is an interesting thriller. You really couldn't find more action into this captivating and thoroughly entertaining novel. The book is so involving that I had finished it in three days. I will definitely recommend reading Just Pack because all I mentioned above.

Just Pack by John M. Vermillion is a novel that will satisfy anyone's desire for justice found for the little guy. Simon Pack is ex-military, ex-politician, and current lawman searching for answers to the why Eutaw Lane is obtaining so much land for himself. Is it all lawfully acquired, or is there something more cynical going on? To find the answers, things get a little rough. This novel comes to a head as Eutaw Lane's actions are revealed. Will Pack be able to wrap this in one piece? Will his friends and K-9 live to see the resolution they were anticipating?
I found John M. Vermillion an excellent writer as he draws the readers. Just Pack will keep you glued to the pages as Simon Pack digs until it hurts. You feel you are there as the story unfolds and the characters come alive. I look forward to reading more about Pack and his new friends.

Pack was a general, a writer, a governor, a hobo and much more. This book is about the restlessness he is feeling and the call to the road. His adventure will lead him smack into a conflict with a mega rich landowner and a crooked government. The story is fast paced and action packed with several twists along the journey. The characters are developed and engaging. I found this one to be a page turner and couldn’t stop reading. A great story and perfect men’s adventure series. Simon is a man of many talents and has been a military general, head of West Point, governor, among several other careers and life-choices that seem to always place him in interesting positions. Although a bit contrived, Simon Pack is a compelling character and makes for a fun read.
This is a fast-paced, action-filled novel that pits Simon Pack and his cohorts against a local government and wealthy businessman. It confronts ethical questions about wealth distribution, basic rights, and other dilemmas without being too heavy. A nice, fun novel.
