Ian Wolfsblood, leader of one of the most influential clans of the Wolves, has always been hell-bent on a war against humans and their allies. The Bears have long stood in his way...until now.
A tenuous peace is offered, but nothing has ever been more dangerous.
Helena Wolfsblood, the only daughter of her father Ian, is offered as a peace gesture to the Bears. The price of averting war is her hand in marriage to Logan Bowen, the only son of the leader of the Bears.
Wolf Trap can be listened to as a stand-alone or as the second book in the series.
Emma Night has always had a flare for writing about paranormal fantasy. She fell in love with vampires at a very young age and her love grew to include Sci Fi Fantasy Romance.
The bears and wolves have been enemies for years. The wolf Alpha has offered his daughter, Helena, to Logan, son of the Alpha of the nears as a peace offering. He has no intention of that happening though. no matter what he says. Ian is not a good alpha and even Helena is afraid of him. So when she meets Logan she is ready to carry out the plan, but then she gets to know Logan. Plans change and a mutiny is on the way. Helena was wishy washy in the beginning, but after her time with Logan she knows she can't keep going like this. I will now go back and read book one before I read book three. Good read for an afternoon getaway.
This is Book two of the series following on from 'The Billionaire Bear Takes His Mate' But all though it is book two it is a stand alone. I enjoyed this book just as much if not slightly more than the first book as it was a bit more intense. But both are good and once picked up I didn't want to put either down. The only reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 is purely the length as they are quite short compared to a normal paperback book, (but that does seem to be norm of ebooks today). So if you enjoy short shifter romance then I can definitely recommend this book
Comical the determination these two have to begrudgingly go with the flow. Their attraction is instant, the heat is on and things get complicated. Interesting, paranormal with action in the midst of a love story. I was provided a free audio version and am voluntarily reviewing. Narrator was good.
I requested this as an ARC for review at no cost to the author. I loved this story. Book 2 in the Billionaire Bear series. Though it does continue an overall arch from book 1 it can be read as a stand alone. This short story is packed with action and lots of sexy-fun time. I recommend to any paranormal fan looking for a quickie.
Ian Wolfblood, alpha of the wolf pack, just informed his daughter Helena that she was to meet with the son of the Bear leader for an arranged marriage -- a supposed peace gesture! But he planned to use the wedding to spring a deadly trap and destroy a large part of the bear clan. Then the wolves would move north and stop Rhett Parker from sending financial support for the bears’ efforts to protect humans. That way, through treachery, they could be victorious at last! They would no longer have to hide their shifter natures!
Helena met Logan and they made arrangements to be alone to talk. Preventing war was a high priority. Strangely, she found that she liked talking with Logan because she could speak her mind and talk about what was important to her without feeling judged as weak. He was not like she expected. Sure that she would not actually marry Logan, she wanted to know what it would be like and she allowed him to show her. Would she eventually change her mind about betraying the bears? Could she let go of her father’s hated plans to choose another path?
This was a good storyline. It’s a little “preachy” but still interesting enough to keep the reader involved. I voluntarily read a review copy of this book and my comments reflect my honest and sincere opinion.
