Three Curses for Trixie Moon originally appeared in the Ambush Books anthology Magical Mayhem.
This is a great story about a girl and her father that are feared and bullied by town folks. The reason is that the two have magic. The father had been teaching the girl magic but she doesn't want anything more to do with it. She won't except what she is. She comes home again with a black eye.
Her father has to leave to go see his brother due to an illness. She is left alone. Her dad said to guard the artifact hidden in the house. She didn't know about an artifact! While he is gone..trouble comes and they want the artifact!
It's a fun and action packed story with a surprise ending!
I honestly could not say how many times I have been subjected to bullying, but having magical powers was exceedingly high on my goals list in order to combat it.
