And him out of his element, Are things about to get Tucking crazy?
Book 2: Not Single For Long
I'm Zia Tuck, and our family is very interested in meeting my cousin Christina's new man. But when I hit it off with one of his best friends, it sparks jealousy in one of mine. Oh Tuck.
An author, actress, and filmmaker, Faleena Hopkins writes primarily love stories with heat and humor. Sometimes with supernatural tendencies since fantasy and magic are a passion.
She lives in Los Angeles, CA, with her dog, Sophia, where she spends too much time behind a computer (but secretly loves every second).

This book was much better than Book 1, but still wasn't quite what I wanted in a novella.
I definitely like Nax (with an N lol) better than Bennett from Book 1. Nax is charming, cute, dedicated to his son, and loyal. The only thing that niggles at me is that he is still technically married. He's separated, but he hasn't officially filed for divorce. He does at least wait until after he meets with his ex to discuss their impending divorce to do something other than kissing with Christina. But it still felt a bit icky to me. I can forgive him though given what he did to protect Christina. I had to give it to the guy for risking himself.
I liked Christina's occupation. I visited the museum in December for the first time and it was a pretty awesome museum (and way too big to do in a couple hours). A day after finishing this though, I really don't remember much else about her, which I guess says a lot. Nax is definitely the highlight in this book.
I really enjoyed this newest book in the Tuck series. Nax is just an all round great guy and Zia is a very likeable character too. It was refreshing to read a story with lots of positive co parenting moments.
I love the continued use of Tuck instead of the similar sounding word and how the how Tuck family use this as standard.
Was great to see Bennett and Christine too!
It's been a while since we had a new book from Faleena and I am pleased she has her mojo back as she delivers every time.
I’ve really enjoyed all of Faleena’s other works. This one fell a little flat for me. The relationship between Nax and Zia felt rushed and not on solid footing. The conversations between characters was hard to follow because we didn’t get to know them well. It kind of felt like a summary of the whole story. I’m going to read the next in the series and hope for better because I know she’s capable of it.
I loved the heart of this book. Every book by Faleena is full of heart, friendship and strength. This is book 2 in the series and I have to admit that the gap between me reading book one and this was large and i floundered a bit trying to remember all the plot lines as, whilst this is about a new couples happy ever after the plot lines cross over and carry on. Brief explanations were given as a who’s who and what’s happened but I would certainly recommend reading this closer together if, Luke me you like to be on point with all the finer plot and character details. 😂
Zia and Nax are a wonderful couple, they are both naturally happy and up best people who like to think positive and see the best in things. I really liked how Zia was totally accepting of his son Joe and his priority role as a dad. Navigating a new relationship around the divorce of one party of the new bond is always going to be tricky, but it doesn’t always have to be ugly and awkward and I liked how, even though there was hurt and anger it was worked through with little fuss and a friendship was still kept, and in the end in Zia’s reflection I liked how the two families stayed in touch and supported each other.
Zia and Nax along with young Joe story. Nax is in NYC at the behest of Bennett to help Josh get over the loss of his wife. These three friends now finding themselves as single dads have been fortunate enough to have found the Tuck women to help transition into the best dads they can be. Zia slept with a coworker James, who she was friends with, but he then turned into a possessive person to the point of insanity. Nax is trying to keep things calm and fun for his son during his impending divorce while helping Josh return to the world of the living after his wife’s sudden death. Nax is fun and full of life but serious when the occasion arises. Zia is a docent at the Museum of Natural History which is where the dad and kid trio meet for the first time before finding out that Zia is Christina’s cousin. There is a theme that started from book one regarding Bennett’s dad that I hope finds it’s conclusion in the next book.
Not Single For Long is the second in the Tuck Yes series by Faleena Hopkins. I have read most of her Cocker Brothers Family series books and loved each one. The Tuck Yes series is about 3 single dads who have been best friends since college NYU. Their bond is tight. Not Single For Long is Nax and Zia’s story. If you like a HOT, sexy, intelligent, and handsome hero then you’ll like Nax. This author writes smart, intelligent, sexy, sassy, and witty heroines as well. One of my favorite reasons for enjoying this author is that the books that I have read have strong family ties and a love for each other that is just amazing. If you like strong family ties then I strongly recommend this author and this series. Besides, we’re talking HOT single dads in this series!!! YUM!! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. *****
I loved Faleena's Cocker Series up until the last book Lexi's story and I feel that this book so far has been the same in that the writing is disjointed. It doesn't flow and often zips from one thing to another with no explanation, like the author has the the story in her head but not filled the reader in on the blanks.
I'd hoped the last read was an anomaly, but this book seems to have followed suit and I could not be bothered to read through to see if the overall story was worth the often confusing writing.
I would try a sample of the next Faleena release because her previous work was great, but think I'll be giving up if it's more of the same.
I was very excited to see that Faleena Hopkins had released another book in her Tuck Yes series.
In Not Single For Long, we get to learn more about Nax and Zia. Nax's life is in a state of flux. He's in NYC to help out a friend for an undetermined amount of time and his wife wants a divorce. Zia loves her life. She has an instant attraction to Nax. And then she finds out he is married.
Add in meddling family and friends and a crazy stalker and have the perfect setup for Nax and Zia to figure out what to do with this attraction.
As with all of the Faleena Hopkins books, this is a easy-to-read book with a great HEA. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
As always, Faleena doesn't disappoint! Zia and Nax are great! Their story is filled with laughs, love, family, and friendship. It's also filled with a little suspense and slight heartbreak (that still ends in an HEA). Add in the cute boys, that act like the men that they belong to in the story, and you've got a Tucking great story that hits a spectrum of emotions in a short amount of time! I loved getting to know Zia and Nax and I can't wait for book 3 with Tempest and Josh!
Tuck Yes book 2. A simply fantastic read. This is Nax story. A soon to be divorcee. He and his son has come to help out friends. In the meantime he meets and falls for Zia. Zia is part of the Tuck family and has a stalker\ex friend sort of issues. It was delightful to watch them come together throughout the climatic twists and turns. This book was drama filled, angsty, funny and passionate. The dialogue was everything. Tuck Yes I'm waiting for the next book.
When I read all the details about New York City, I really want to go there and visit again. The story about an almost divorcee and a funny single woman was all what we know and expect from Faleena, sexy, funny, and a lot of good writing. It's a story about falling in love after the previous marriage failed, for her, a single woman, falling in love with an almost divorcee with a child. It was a bit rushed at the end, wished there was more interactions with just the two or better the three of them. All in all a nice little story about second changes in life.
I enjoyed this story so much!! It was lighthearted for the most part and just fun to read. Zia was like a best friend and her awesome family is just another one I'd love to be a member of by this author!! She creates a beautiful and loving family dynamic and I wish that more than one of her male leads were flesh and blood including Nax! He had a fun-loving personality and I loved his sense of humor.
I love Zia. Nax is fun and so sweet and awkward in his way. The boys, Will, Elliot, and Joe, make these books so much richer. I am extremely thrilled that Bennett and Chris still have parts of their story being told in here. I really hope we see a comedy club in book 3, but even if we don't... the preview at the end! Gah! I can't wait for Tempest Tuck! I'm hoping for Noah and Evan to get books too. Love this family.
This is Not Single For Long, book 2 of the Tuck Yes series written by Faleena Hopkins. We have gone back and started with the grandparents of our beloved Cockers and are now reading each of their individual love stories. Each one unique, filled with flirty fun, sexy times and a bit of suspense to wrap it all together. A quick bit enjoyable read.
Zia and Nax made such a great couple even with their ups and downs. His impending divorce and her stalker. Nax's son was so sweet. I wanted to cry with him at one point. Gosh they had so much intrigue with her stalker. You'll have to read the book, in fact read the series you won't regret it. Written by Cindy :)
Nax is visiting his college buddy who just lost his wife. While in NYC he meets Zia, she's the cousin of his other college buddy. They share sparks immediately. They both are in the middle of relationship hard times. Neither one can forget the other, so one thing leads to another and they find their HEA.
omg he literally took a bullet for her bc of her crazy ex boyfriend, what's not to love.
he is so good to his son and finally starts being open to love after finding out his wife cheated on him from his son telling him. ends up doing long distance with him in cali and her in ny but ends up moving to ny
Finding love can be hard even more so in a big city like NYC. A whirlwind romance full of laughter, love, family, and a dash of danger. Not Single For Long is a fantastic read that'll have you staying up late wanting to know what happens next between Nax Fisher and Zia Tuck.
Faleena has done it again. Pulled me like I was right in the book, on the museum tour and at the party. I love how she sets up characters for the next book. EXCELLENT JOB!!!
This is book number 2 in the «Tuck yes» series. like all of Faleena's books I loved it. Its fun and I really love that we keep getting to know the young boys (Will, Elliot and Joe) and their different personalities. Max and Zia is a story you have to read! Can't wait until Tempest story!
Really love the work of this author. I’m a huge fan of the entire Cocker brothers series and next gen and I’m really enjoying this branch off series. Amazing characters and well developed story lines. Can’t wait for the next one!!!
I love reading Faleena's books. Loved reading about the museum. Makes me want to plan a trip to New York when the world gets better. Loved Zia's and Nax's story and the friendships on both sides.
Just ok. Not my favorite book but an ok read. This series is not as hot and heavy like the Cocky Brothers series but it does have a quirky vibe. Hopefully the next book rebounds this series for me. The snippets into the next book seems very interesting, Can't wait.
Nax is visiting Bennett and Josh, hoping to help Josh in his grief. They meet Zia at the museum, and Nax is smitten. There are many issues for them to work through. The farting scene was odd.
VERY VERY happy story! Ive read all of this author's books starting at the every beginning... and this new series is very enjoyable. Great character, great family vibe..... but Im still asking, however, aren't there any werewolves in Chicago? People, check out her early series, as well!
These characters are special with their unique bond between the Tuck girls and the NYU men Bennett, Naz and Josh with 3 sons Joe, Elliott and Will. Christina, Zia ad Tempest bring out the very best in the men. Well written and thoroughly enjoyed.
Great fun book to read It wasnt a hard heavy book it was a light & easy book to enjoy. The characters are fun & relatable. If you enjoyed any of those authors book you're going to love this one .
Absolutely loved this book. This one had me laughing hysterically. Max and Zia are amazing. You never disappoint your readers Faleena. Going for book 3
