Can the immortal truly die? Nothing is as it seems in the world of the Witch Hunter…

Zac Degaud’s
afterlife is just going from bad to worse. He grew a heart only to have it torn out by the founding vampire, Arturius.
Nobody is sure what his agenda is, but Zac doesn’t want to know. He's more interested in finding a way to end him for good — but when Arturius makes a play for the witch Gabby, things go from bad to worse. She’s harbouring a secret of her own.
A dark power lives inside her, one that Arturius would do anything to control.
But when Zac uncovers a deadly secret from Aya’s past, it will turn the entire game on its head. A truth she has fought to conceal for thousands of years hides the key to Arturius’s final death.
And no one knows what it means.
They'll need to figure it out sooner rather than later, because death is coming for all of them.
Revenge is best served in cold blood, after all.

The Return is the second book in The Witch Hunter Saga , an Urban Fantasy series like no other… Vampires, witches, and ancient blood feuds abound in this thrilling new twist on an ancient myth.

I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side!

Firstly I would like to thank Nicole R. Taylor, the author of The Return, for providing me this fabulous chance of reviewing your special book.

Well, to be honest I was a bit disappointed with this book after having an awesome experience with book 1 but this story has it's own jewels and I loved it for that.

I liked the storyline very much and struggling to avenge your lost love, ah! That's my favorite of all times and here Zac's struggle and desperation is portrayed so beautifully that you'll have the illusion of being in Zac's head for real.

The deadly secrets and the anticipation of it's revelation will drive you crazy and you'll keep on reading on and on to discover that. What annoyed me a little is that many parts, specially unimportant parts were dragged on a lot and it really bored me at times and I skipped pages to get something interesting to read as fast as I can.

The character development is good and the plotting of the events one after the other is great as well. Over all a good read to continue this series.

A brilliantly written second the in the series

So many unanswered background questions for the first book that we finally get answered in this book. All the while getting set up to realize there really is a “big bad” that needs to be fought. Only two books into the series and I can’t get enough of these characters, the mythology of the supernatural, or the story that’s been brewing for 2000 years!

Great to find out what happened in the centuries before the Witch Hunter was awakened by Gabby's spell and Zac's blood called to her. Even Aya, the last star, is changing, evolving. A wonderful series.

Wow! Just wow! Its hard to put into words how much I love this series, and am very anxious for book 3, Shadows Sons. I can’t wait till its out.

I really loved the twists and turns in this books, and some great surprises too. I wont be telling you any spoilers though, you need to read it yourself.
I know I was so shocked at the end of the first book, The Witch Hunter, and was so anxious to read this one to see what happens, as I did not want o accept the ending of that book, at all!

I did get a bit bored only in a few parts where the back-story got to be a bit much for me. Especially all the war talk with Zac’s story, I was not as interested in that part, but do see how it was important, but not sure if maybe it should have been a bit less maybe?

Other than those bits that I didn't really care for, I overall loved the book. It was well written as usual, and it was really hard to put down.

I highly recommend this series to all the paranormal romance lovers out there, the unique twist on these vampires and witches was great.

5 out of 5 stars for me. And the cover is great too.

I was given a copy of this book from the author for my honest review.

The Return starts right where The Witch Hunter left us with a bang!

In this book we get to know Zac’s past, how he was in his early days as a newborn vampire, how he met Morgan and what is he dreaming. Vampires don’t dream when they sleep, so how is it possible that he suddenly dreams every night? Is he capable of love?

“I finally grew a heart, only to have it ripped out.”

The beautiful cover features Zac our main character of the book and my new favorite badass vampire!

The founding vampire, Arturius is back in town to torment all the gang and he wants something only Gabby knows and he plans to get it out of her by all means possible.

Now the only thing Zac desires is revenge, and he’s interested in finding a way to end Arturius for good.

The book is full of surprises…at least for me what happened in the middle of the book was a very pleasant surprise I didn’t expect to happen :-)

There is so much more that makes this series spectacular. It is filled with deception, treachery, romance, intense drama, and detailed characters that pull in the reader from the beginning until the end.

The secondary players add great finesse to the storyline. I have to admit it was completely hard to put this book down.

The action and the horror elements are the icing on the cake -- make no mistake, it’s not a book for weak of heart (or stomach, for that matter).

This is a story of love, betrayal, revenge, second chances... but also so much more and I cannot wait to have in my hands The Shadow's Son!

Note: I had the privilege of receiving an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I received a copy of this in exchange for my honest opinion. Everything you are about to read is my full and honest opinion about the book!

The Return was a WONDERFUL follow-up to the first book! When the first book ended on such a cliffhanger, I felt like DYING, I needed more of the world that Nicole created! But believe me it was WELL worth the wait, because Nicole delivered this book way above my expectations!

The writing and the plot had me engrossed in this book and on the edge of my seat with anticipation. I just had to know how everything played out from the last book with Aya, and how Zac was handling it! Well I didn't have to wait long until I found myself lost in the world Nicole created with, action, adventure, vampires, witches, romance, desire, and of course BETRAYAL! It was so engaging and heart-throbbing AMAZING!

Secrets that Aya has kept hidden for thousands of years are coming to light. Secrets she's so intent on keeping buried, Secrets that she's even killed for, and may very well kill again before she has them revealed! Zac's heart has been torn in two, as he just learned to true meaning of love! Gabby has her own secrets buried that Arturius wants.

Overall, it's a very intense story that I loved, and Can't wait to get back into this world that Nicole created!

Overall I enjoyed the book. It was well written, well edited, and the back-story for each of the characters is quite intricate.

I found, at times, the level of detail for each of the back-stories sometimes overwhelming and pulled me out of the story. Though the details of one's past is important to the storytelling aspect of the novel, I don't know how integral those details are if they have to be explained in the middle of dialogue. In some cases the back-story could be handled through a short dialogue so the reader remains in the moment rather than the author pausing the current story/situation to explain why a character behaves in a certain way.

Though Miss Taylor has a great attention to detail and most of the time that level of detail can make or break a character, a little editing can go a long way.

That said, I feel it is important to note I enjoyed both novels very much and her characters, though obviously fiction, felt real at times and I very much enjoyed this story.

I really enjoyed this book. I was glad to get a little more back story into some of the characters lives, and I hope that future books will provide further backstory on the other characters. The story was non-stop action and the storyline kept my attention the whole time. Nicole Taylor is a good writer, and her attention to detail is great.

I liked the fact that Gabby was more of a character in this story than the last book, and I was hoping to see more of Sam, Liz and Alex, but that wasn't the case. I do hope to see more of them in future books. The flow of the book worked and there was just enough details to keep you interested and wondering what would happen next. I look forward to her next book!

I couldn't read this book fast enough , but didn't want it to end.
It is fast paced, with a few twists you wouldn't expect. It has everything, romance, scandal, paranormal, etc.It also has violence, but it didn't even bother me cause I was so engrossed in it ,I didn't care ! If your looking for a good paranormal read, this series is it!! Very reasonably priced too.

This series keeps me coming back for more!

I got the first book free, but it doesn't matter because I will gladly pay for the rest just to see how the story will end. Taylor has added a spin to the vampire storyline that will keep you coming back for more too, lol

I loved this book! It took me a little to get in to book 1, but loved it as well. Full of vampire action, yet had the love and affection in it that didn't make you gag. Now on to book 3
