Dünyanın En Tembel Atı: Rüzgâr kitabı, koşmayı sevmeyen ve aslında yürümekten bile hoşlanmayan, çiftlikte tembel tembel dolaşıp elma yemeyi seven Rüzgâr adında tembel bir atı anlatıyor. Bay Çalışkan ne derse tersini yapan Rüzgârı, sonunda çiftlikte bırakıp kendi işini kendisi görmeye kalkınca, bu kez de traktörüyle başı derde giriyor. Hataların farkına varma ve hataları kabullenme teması üzerine kurgulanan bu kitabın pek de o amaca hizmet ettiğini düşünmüyorum. Rüzgar'ın tembelliği ve Bay Çalışkan ile olan ilişkisi yeterince derinlemesine işlenmemiş ki öykü boyunca karakter gelişimi yok ki anlatı çok yüzeysel duruyor. Kitabın hataları fark etme ve kabul etme mesajı önemli olsa da birçok çocuk için bile bu mesajın çok açık veya didaktik olduğu ortada. Şu seride Mırmır’ın Sihirli Bıyıkları ya da Dev Pancar Çılgınlığı gibi gerçekten düzgün kitaplar varken serinin bu kitabı idare eder havada açıkçası. İkinci kez okuyacağımızdan emin değilim.

I read this book to my class today during story time and they absolutely loved it.

This is a story about a lazy horse, who can't be bothered to take his owner - Wally, where he wants to go, he ends up causing trouble and Wally leaves him behind one day.

This is a silly book that the children loved, it had repetition in it, which the children loved to join in with. This book also has some of the days of the week in, which helps them to know the order of the days, it would have been nice if the author had extended this and we could have read about all 7 days.

Overall though the book is beautifully presented and one that children will want to visit time and time again.

A fun story about a horse who loves his belly more than his owner! Silly and entertaining.
