Billionaire Grump

Rate this book
I am Levi Luxenberg. Forty-year-old billionaire. CEO of Luxenberg Enterprises. And apparently, father of one.

A week ago, having kids wasn’t even in my ten-year plan.

Now, I have a five-year-old daughter who will hardly look in my direction.

I am aware that Amelia is grieving her mother’s death, and I swear I’m not a complete jerk, but I jumped on a private jet to Chicago at a moment’s notice, and the kid won’t even say a word to me.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, our pilot just got sick and I have to fly commercial for the first time in years.

You’d think that would be the end of it, but no.

The cherry on top?

Amelia would rather interact with Clare, the divorced, jobless, tipsy woman sitting right in front of us, than me.

She chats with her, she smiles at her—she even draws her a freaking picture.

I would be really mad if I didn’t actually need a nanny. Urgently.

Since my assistant screwed my wanted ad over and made me look like a grumpy billionaire desperately looking for a wife, Clare suddenly seems perfect for the job.

She has no place to live, no idea who I am, and no qualms about being my live-in nanny on a trial basis.

The problem is, I think I might want to keep her around longer….

3.5⭐
Genre ~ contemporary romance
Series ~ Bossy Single Dad #1
Setting ~ NYC
Publication date ~ October 21, 2022
Page Count ~ 390 (15 chapters +e) (Got the PC from Amazon, but it seems high to me🤷)
Audio length ~ 5 hours 43 minutes
Narrator ~ Skye Alley
POV ~ dual 1st
Featuring ~ billionaire, single dad, alpha, grump, boss/nanny, age gap, minimal steamage

Clare (27) & Levi (40) start off on the wrong foot when Clare makes an assumption that costs them hours stuck at an airport. But somehow she lands a job as a nanny for Levi’s 5 year old daughter, Amelia.

I am not a fan when there are young children in my romance books (epilogue is fine), but I like it a tiny bit more when it’s a daddy/daughter combo. There’s just something about dad’s and their daughters and how they have them wrapped around their little finger. Amelia is a tough one to write about ~ sometimes she behaved properly and other times she was destroying property. And I would think she’d need to grieve a little more.

Clare & Levi have good chemistry and I liked how Clare and Amelia bonded right away. This is my 8th book by Willow and this one felt a little different than her usual ~ maybe since there is co~author? No offense to that author. Overall, a good start to a new series following single dads. I like how Willow name drops characters from her other series.

Side note ~ Levi is a billionaire, but somehow he can’t buy big enough towels to fit around someone, weird. Also, I would assume each bedroom has their own bathroom attached too. I don’t hang out with too many billionaire’s, though, so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about.

*Thanks to Willow for providing with an ARC to read. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review*

The audacity…

I literally just finished the book and I’m so mad… I feel robbed. I have spent the past 5 hours engrossed in this book only for the last 10 minutes to be a total letdown. First the author gave us several really juicy plot twists that then she totally abandoned and after introducing us to the twist I was like oh yeah it’s about to get juicy and I got all excited for the different scenarios that were possible, only for them to be completely ignored then the last 10 minutes they were all minimized and swept under the rug. There were so so many holes in this story, so many unanswered questions. And I absolutely loathe rushed endings. This felt like the author just gave up and wanted it over and done. The fact that I purchased this makes me even more mad when I could have just spent those 5 hours reading something on KU instead. This story could have been great. It had all the potential the author even gave us several side stories and plot twists but didn’t follow through with any of them. This book is all over book tok and there is a particular scene that is continually advertised…yet it didn’t even go down like the many tik tok videos allude too. Which was the hook that is being used to gain interest so I feel like that’s bambozoling readers with false advertisement.

It was a solid read. It was entertaining even if a bit strange in dynamics. The ending was abrupt like the author had enough of writing it and just ended it on a random chapter. Honestly, it wasn't worth the time it took to read, in my opinion

Full review to come.

I was about to give this book 4 stars. There really wasn't much drama in this book. Nothing really happened, but I love the beginning of the book and the banter between the H and h. I also love the H's daughter that the H has just discovered. The H's daughter, Amelia, is 5 years old. The H finds out he had a daughter with ex gf, Katelyn. Katelyn didn't like his wealthy and public lifestyle so she didn't tell him about their daughter.

What I didn’t like: H's ex gf and their daughter was in a car accident where she died. I was sad that the ex gf died because she sounded like a nice person and in other books, she would've been the h. Anyway, I was bothered that the daughter witnessed her mother's death, but she was this bubbly child barely affected by the tragedy. There was mention of seeing a therapist, but not much. Also, the death was brushed over so quickly. What happened to her funeral? Her belongings?

In the end, I had to give a 2 stars instead because of the epilogue. It felt like the author wrapped things up too quickly and then wrote an unsatisfying epilogue to close everything up because:

1. Connor was H's brother. He was a sleezy slimeball who sexually harassed his employees. He sexually harassed and fired h's best friend from another book, Sadie. Instead of firing him or building a case which the H was intending to do, in the epilogue, the H just moved him into another department.

2. The h's ex husband was stalking and harassing her and threatening her and H's daughter. Instead of building a case against him, the H pays him $1 million dollars to move away with paid movers and first month rent covered. The epilogue disturbed me. It said they continue to keep an eye on him. He now lives in Mexico and is now going after an 18 year old girl, but there is no mention they are going to interfere. In fact, the h is happy that she is no longer the one he is stalking. This is so disturbing. Here is the paragraph in the epilogue:

"It’s only been a year, but it’s been the best radio-silent year that I could hope for, and by the sound of it, he found himself an eighteen-year-old to obsess over, which makes me happy. His attention is no longer focused on me."

it’s a no from me

I couldn’t finish it. Characters seemed very immature and the story lacked dimension. Lacked consistency as well. Had a great start, but came up short.

While this was a decent novella, the verbal exchanges between the two main characters were so...juvenile and childish. (Example: "Am not." "Are too".) This continued throughout the book, on top of their constant bickering like two wayward children who couldn't get along.
There were too many unfinished storylines that abruptly ended without resolution...especially the epilogue. I mean, where did that come from? One minute the MMC was saying the FMC was "just the nanny"...and then, THAT? Umm..no. There was the storyline about the FMC's BFF whose fiance was in the Bratva...but no one ever met either one of them. Then there was the storyline about the FMC's ex that also fizzled out. There was the part where there was tension between the MMC, his brother, and their mother, but no explanation as to WHY. Also concerning the brother and mother...there was an abrupt ending to his unsavory ways...and the mother being against the FMC becoming intimate with the MMC...then the epilogue is slapped in there with such a hasty ending that doesn't explain...anything really.
There was such potential for it to be a really good novella if the author had spent more time filling in the holes, giving the angst free rein to go somewhere, or allowing the drama to play out in a better fashion. As it stands, it wasn't given that opportunity, so it just sat there like a dangling participle and had no meaning.
The two main characters went from catfights to lovers, to enemies, back to lovers to...what? The plot twists kept the reader's head spinning, but not in a good way. The whole thing was convoluted, frustrating, and unrealistic. I can only give it a one-star rating, and that was for the cute munchkin of a daughter the MMC had. Other than that, it was a complete flop. Oh, it had its interesting moments, for certain. It just wasn't worth the time spent reading it.

This was actually really good and very spicy but just ended too fast. It feels like when it finally starting getting good and an added thrilling element could have continued it just fizzled out and suddenly I was reading the epilogue. I will continue the series but I just felt like I was missing something here.

Sweet with fairly low angst that is easily resolved. A cute kid, grumpy/sunshine situation between a billionaire and a nanny. What's not to like?

Not A Grump, just an Alpha hole abuser.

Trope - Abusive Alpha-hole takes advantage of doormat chick. Doormat chick had an ex that treated her bad too. She's impossible to respect.

No likable characters in this book.

Try instead - THE BOYFRIEND COMEBACK- So damn good! 5 🌟

Clare x Levi

Yeah this was … not it.

It started kind of interesting, with them meeting on a plane when Levi just picked up his daughter of 5 years - he didn’t know she existed. Her mother died in a crash and Levi got custody.
Clare has absolute the correct instinct to alert the authorities, and I know he’s fucking grumpy about it but what if he was a predator?

Anyway after that the story was … somewhat surface level. Amelia does not behave like a 5 year old. Also her grieving process and the time she takes to warm up to people is just … dude it doesn’t work like that.
That girl has witnessed her mother’s death, had to lose her entire home / friends / etc and a few weeks later she’s in a restaurant with Levi and Clare and asks if Clare could be her new Mommy?

This entire topic is blatantly obviously only a plot device, one that is not handled with the care it needed.
Also I would have expected the mother’s parents (Amelia’s grandparents from her mother’s side) to have a say in the matter of living arrangements, too. And what’s with Amelia’s belongings? They did mention that the self made tutu that Amelia was wearing, & was very attached to, had no tag, therefore is maybe from her mom. But that is the only line we get. No confirmation or deep conversation. Nothing.
And what happened to the mother - was there a funeral? Nothing is mentioned.
They uproot that kid and yet she’s bubbly and fun just a few weeks (And I mean a few. Maybe two weeks? Three? That’s it) after that, with calling Levi dad / daddy and asking for Clare to be her “new mommy”

Dude. NEVER would that happen. On the contrary. Realistically they probably would have settled on first names in the beginning, trying to bond. Giving that kid space while grieving and keeping a channel open to her old life, friends and family.
And then maybe sometime Amalia would call Levi dad. And even further down the line MAYBE Clare would be called mom. But that is not guaranteed. Some of the most wonderful stepmoms stay at first name basis. Because they never would replace Amalias mom. And they never could.

But in this story? Two weeks. ONE counselling session with a therapist. Bam. Done. Kid is happy go lucky and giggling up a storm.

Anyway. The relationship between Levi and Clare feels completely rushed. Tho I did like their chemistry.
What I did not like was that the story treats Levi’s accusations that Clare planted the “new mommy thought” into Amelia’s head is on the same level of “I don’t wanna sleep with you, you weren’t good in bed anyway” … like come on. One accuses you of deep betrayal and basically calls you a gold digger the other just hurts your ego a bit. Yet in the story they say basically that they hurt each other, both messed up, it’s fine.

What I also didn’t like was the fact that these people act like children somehow. And I don’t even mean the nicknames. But sticking out your tongue or the “Am not” - “Are too!” Exchange are just … juvenile. And I don’t care if Clare herself says that it’s childish. It’s just weird. She’s 27 for crying out loud. And a preschool teacher at that.

Levi’s Mom and Connor, the brother, feel kind of shoehorned in, same as the name dropping of, what I assume are, the names of characters in other books.
I mean, yeah, sure the mom wants Levi to settle down. Thinks 27 is too young for him (he’s 40) … and Connor behaves like a douche … and we find out he sexually harassed employees asking for BJs in order for them to keep their jobs. Well. Okay. He’s an asshole. There surely must be consequences? Eh. No.
All of this doesn’t go anywhere.

Like have the mother try to break them up. Or set Levi up even tho she knows he’s dating Clare. Have Connor approach Clare or be caught red handed while he fucks up.

And even Zander, Clare’s ex husband, feels just … not well thought out. He’s mentioned, and it is said that Clare receives threatening messages etc.
But her reaction to it doesn’t seem real. She does break down at the end of the book but that feels all of a sudden.
Also … why didn’t she just block his ass? Sure he could have used burner phones / other numbers but still. She doesn’t. So he doesn’t. It takes Levi to take the SIM card out of her phone and provide her with a new one.
Really? You didn’t thought of that yourself girlie?
To at least change your damn number when you fled your husband after the divorce?

It’s all just stupid.
Especially the end. Levi basically wants to pay off Zandef to back off of Clare. They go through the contact and Levi asks if Clare’s okay with what is in the contract. She says yes … and that is it.

Yes really.
There isn’t a final confrontation or a climax of the story with Zander becoming truly dangerous. I mean that man send images of ropes and tape and a noose to her along with death threats … and then there’s nothing? This obsession, this following her around, this feeling of ownership is just … gone? Dealt with? Off screen?

Instead the story felt cut off and feels like the author just didn’t want to finish it properly.
Instead we get an epilogue a year later when Levi, Clare and Amelia are on the beach, having fun in the ocean and Amelia is asking them for a baby sister. And she just says if Levi wanted a baby sister for Amelia he could have just asked. So he does. Sure Jen.
His trust issues regarding gold diggers and her comments about money are forgotten.

Nothing is said about their marital status. Nothing is said about what the mom thinks.
Instead we get throwaway lines about Connor who got fired from his job as CEO, but was kept as an office worker so that he has a pay check to rely on. (Yes really. He sexually harassed employees - and it is insinuated that he did that MULTIPLE times - but he gets to keep his job because he wouldn’t be able to stand on his own two feet if he didn’t? That isn’t said in the epilogue but Levi thinks about Connor in that way multiple times throughout the book.)
There also another throwaway line about Zander taking the money and fucking off to Mexico and basically having a relationship with an 18 yr old. And Clare says she’s happy that he does have a new girl so that the attention is off of her.

Eh. WHAT?!
1.) The dude is at least Clare’s age so 28ish - probably older … and he’s hooking up with an 18 year old. Absolutely not concerning in the slightest.
2.) You’re happy that your psychologically abusive ex husband, the one who send you literal death threats, and spend years isolating you from friends and family and made you financially dependent on him, is now digging his claws into a young teenager??

Clare did you fall on your head on your way down from the coconut tree? (Not literally in the story but a Kamala Harris reference)
Girl either that or you have the capacity for empathy that rivals that of a stone.

Ah this entire story, man.
There were nuggets that I liked. I liked their flirting and that they both didn’t hold back. And genuinely had to chuckle once or twice.
I mean for example “The man hates me, and I didn't even do anything wrong. It's like he's going through PMS-pissy male syndrome” — I thought that was funny. Maybe my funny bone is broken, but that is why this isn’t a 1★ for me.
But it felt like the author dropped the ball big time. Or bit off more than they could chew.

It was fun at times but most of the time I spend my self wondering how much of my believe I had to suspend to make this story work.

Seriously. the man is a popular billionaire who just got custody of his kid, with him being on magazine covers for being the most eligible bachelor … and he says himself he’s somewhat famous which is why the mother of his child would not want to be with him because of that fame and public scrutiny — even tho he very much thought about marrying her. Even strolling through Jewellers browsing rings … AND HE HAS NO BODYGUARDS????
Sure he has a security system for his home and his driver is somewhat of a guard as he is an ex special forces. But they stroll through Paris … just like that. Without anyone there. No security. Nothing. Even fucking Tana Mongue has bodyguards WTF are you talking about??

Also … the book opened with an absolutely inappropriate ad to find a nanny for Amalia, posted by his personal assistant Nancy.
Yet there are no consequences. And why does she post that fucking ad in the first place? He’s a damn billionaire, he could ask any agency or get one of those Norland Nannies with his kind of money.
And look I would even say fuck it, it’s absurd, let’s see what happens with that ad … but nothing does. No consequences besides Nancy having to sift out gold diggers from the pool of applicants.

Sigh.
You see what I mean with serious suspension of disbelief? All that … only to get cut off at the end.

I… feel cheated by this book. The only reason it got 3 stars instead of 2 is because the premise and first 75% of the book was AMAZING. Otherwise, it would be 2 stars or even a DNF. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT MISS WILLOW FOX?? I won’t spoil it, though the author did spoil the ending oh my god.

The plot - okay so you’ve got the amazing plotline, right? Billionaire, newly single dad to a 5 year old, successful, grumpy, brooding, ALL the right things. Then curvy, mouthy girl becomes the nanny. Love, love love. It is a HEA, there are some triggers around abuse and narcissism, but mostly lowkey. It’s all going well, 2.5/5 on the spice scale, but then after the first 75%, it was rushed. Cheap, easy ending, no real answers, plot holes galore, it felt forced. It felt like the author was reaching her word limit and had to wrap it up quick. What could have been an amazingly angsty novel, possibly 4 or even 5 stars, ended up falling flat. Not a fan of that last 25% Miss Fox.

The MC - I’ve already said, short curvy girl by the name of Clare who is sassy and relatable. Who doesn’t relate to a girl who’s gone through trauma? Just me? Anyway, loved her. But even the communication to resolve any issues, she just gave in?? What’s that about? Where’s that fire from before gone? I’m disappointed in her character development.

The male counterpart - the only consistency through the book was Levi. Dark, brooding, billionaire grump who’s a star in bed. Love a good book boyfriend like that. His miscommunication was irritating, but that trope always is. He was a victim to the unsatisfactory ending, and he deserved better - like the edging he so loves, I’m without release for that ending. I’d hashtag it if I had any less class.

Rating: 1.5 stars ⭐½

📚🎢 Plot:
"Billionaire Grump" takes readers on a wild ride as Levi Luxenberg, a forty-year-old billionaire, finds himself thrust into fatherhood overnight. With the sudden responsibility of a grieving five-year-old daughter, Amelia, Levi's life takes an unexpected turn. From private jets to commercial flights and chance encounters, the plot is filled with humorous and heartwarming moments. However, it falls short in delivering on some promising plot twists that are left unresolved.

👥🎭 Characters:
Levi, the protagonist, comes across as immature for his age, which affected my overall experience. While his transformation from grumpy billionaire to a more caring and involved father is heartening, his character lacked the allure and charisma one would expect from a successful entrepreneur. Clare, the nanny, shines as she develops a heartwarming relationship with Amelia. Her selflessness and genuine care for the little girl are endearing, making her a standout character.

🔚🌟 Ending:
The epilogue left me wanting more. It felt rushed, skipping over important developments and unresolved storylines. The sudden shift in dynamics, with Amelia referring to Clare as "mommy," required more exploration and explanation within the narrative. It was hard to believe that a little girl who had just lost her mother would be okay with calling someone else "mommy" so soon or even ask, "Will you be my new mommy?. This aspect needed more depth and emotional exploration to make it believable.

📝🌟 Overall Review (1.5 stars ⭐½):
"Billionaire Grump" offers a delightful mix of humor, unexpected fatherhood, and spicy scenes. However, it falls short in fully capitalizing on its intriguing plot twists and character development. While the emotional connection between the main characters feels somewhat lacking, their partnership in raising Amelia is commendable. The book would have benefited from a more significant development of the plot, particularly in regards to the ex-husband. Despite its flaws, the endearing relationship between Clare and Amelia adds a touch of sweetness to the story. Although Levi's portrayal may not live up to the allure of a billionaire entrepreneur, the book still provides an enjoyable read for those seeking a lighthearted and spicy romance.

Not Enjoyable to Me . . .

This feels like a book with non-likable people in it. Right from the start, the assistant writes a mean-spirited ad for a nanny to get back at her boss. Levi Luxenberg is a cranky billionaire. He finds out he has a 5-year-old daughter when her mother dies. His pilot gets sick and he has to fly commercial – “oh perish the thought”. Priorities are obviously not in proper order.

Amelia, the daughter, won’t speak to him but picks a stranger on the plane to be her best bud. The stranger is also a piece-of-work, deciding (with no proof, I might add) that Levi isn’t the girl’s father and causing all kinds of unnecessary grief when they are detained at the airport to sort out the mess she made. So exhibiting his colossal decision-making skills, Levi hires her as the new nanny. Sure, believable… NOT. And Clare is described as “the divorced, jobless, tipsy woman” sitting in the seat in front of them and interacting with Amelia. Good credentials for taking care of his child.

Bottom line, this kind of negativity is not “funny” to me and I didn’t like the book.

Good example of the trope(s).

Tropes: Grump versus Sunshine, age gap, forced proximity. Trigger warnings: Stalker ex, threats of violence

Clare meets billionaire Levi and his 5 year old daughter on a commercial flight to NYC. She’s using her ex’s miles to go back home after hiding in Chicago during the divorce from the abusive ex. When Levi’s ex died, he found out she had been hiding the child from him because she didn’t want the fame and problems his money could bring. Clare is homeless and jobless, and even though Levi believes it’s a bad idea, he hires her to nanny for his daughter on a trial basis. Sparks fly.

It’s billed as a rom-com, and there are a plethora of comedic moments, but there is an undercurrent of drama/sadness that is never really addressed. There are story points that the author left dangling. The chemistry between the main characters is heavily charged, the spicy scenes are as well, without going over the top. The epilogue did a nice job of wrapping things up for the HEA.

Movie rating R. 4/5 overall, 3/5 hearts romance, 2/5 guns violence, and 3/5 flames for spice. I kind of recommend.

for me

This book was eh. The beginning was good and I liked the tension. The one time he called the girl kitten made me want to throw up I’m glad it was only one time. I dislike the small storyline of her ex husband it was quick and unneeded. I think if the ending was better I would like it. The ending was so abrupt. The little girl was calling her mommy all of a sudden the first time that happening should have been a scene especially with them explaining to little girl they are together. They didn’t do that. It was just a straight jump. I have so many questions, does he still pay her, is she going to go back to teaching. Their talking about kids all of a sudden. The couple was cute and ending can bring a book back for me and this book disappointed me. Like it was so abrupt with very little information that made sense as we didn’t get all scene to build up to it. Overall it was an average book. 3/5

It was fun, in a way.
But mostly it was fine.
A little bit to fast-paced fir my liking, almost as if this book is a romantic comedy of situations from 00-s. For sure there were alot of heated glances, thoughts and touches, grudges due to bad word choices and abusive ex who sends us creepy messages, but it felt unnatural or too clean.
This is story about 'single dad', but in some scenes i had this feeling that 'dad' aspect is not 'clicking', as if this parts were added just for trope. I could be wrong and it's simply vibes i got, but...if you remove 'dad' parts and change our FMC from nanny to secretary or personal assistant, you lose almost nothing. Maybe it's a genre cliches or it's simply not my cup of tea.
i'm not sure about 'child' aspect and how psychology works in cases of parent loss, so can not say how well or bad written were parts about daughter.

If you want a fast-paced romance which you can read in 1 sitting, this could be good variant for you.

Levi just found out he’s a dad and he’s on a plane taking his daughter home who doesn’t speak to him when a stranger starts speaking to her. His daughter tells her that he isn’t her dad and she accuses him of kidnapping and gets the cops involved. Instead of suing her he offers her a job as her nanny as she’s homeless after splitting with her ex husband. She moves into his house and looks after his daughter.
He steals her pants, finds her vibrator and they’re both attracted to each other but they can’t act on it.
When they go to Paris for his work that’s when they start sleeping together. His daughter asks if she will be her new mommy and that’s when Levi flips and calls her just the nanny. They hardly speak and she says he was horrible in bed.
They sleep together and when his daughters in the bedroom he tells her he loves her.

End of the book a year later they are all a happy family and she asks for a baby sister and so does Levi and they both agree to start trying💗💗💗

4.5 stars. I listened to this as story an audiobook. I wasn't the biggest fan on the narrator and the voice for the child was hard to listen to. As for the actual story it was great. The banter was very enjoyable. Some smut but tasteful. It wasn't super unrealistic with post relationship situation which I appreciated. I feel like the last 2 chapters and epilogue could've been more detailed and continued in to a second book. Instead the author just rushed it and I'm a bit confused why. It was a good slow burn and the lead up was perfect then the rushed past the end almost like they were just finishing for a dead line but never went back to make it better after in revision. Just feeling like I missed out on good content by them rushing the last act. But over all was an enjoyable audiobook that I listened in a day. I would probably recommend if someone was ok with 3 spicy scenes and good banter.

Levi is a wealthy man and has just learned that he has a five-year-old daughter. He asks his assistant to place an ad for a nanny and she bungles the wording on the ad. While he and his daughter are on the plane another passenger starts talking to his daughter. When she thinks he is abducting a child this causes some problems when they land. Clare tries to apologize to Levi, and he ends up hiring her temporarily to be Amelia's nanny. Sparks fly between them and soon they cross the line with each other. Will this turn into a more permanent situation between them?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

If there’s one thing I’m a sucker for it is some good banter and Billionaire Grump had it in spades. After receiving life changing news, Levi just wanted a smooth trip back home but life had other plans.
Right from the beginning, I loved the chemistry Levi and Clare exuded. These two had one heck of a rocky start that left me almost in tears laughing. The laugh out loud moments didn’t end there. These two with their antics kept me so entertained. And the steam kept things haaaaawt. Little Amelia was just the cutest, I loved watching the bond between her, Clare and Levi form. There were a few things I would’ve liked to see explored a little more but overall, this was a very enjoyable read for me. Billionaire Grump is my first Willow Fox and Allison West book but definitely not my last. I look forward to reading the rest of this series and more from these authors.

No. Nope. I initially read the synopsis and I loved the concept. It sounded like it was right up my alley. Unfortunately, it was not. The instalove was really annoying and unrealistic. I feel like the whole situation was unrealistic. Who in their right mind agrees to move on with a perfect stranger as their nanny? Levi also really irritated me. The part where he said that when Claire said he wasn’t good in bed was disgusting and horrible…? Bro. Relax. Plus Amelia was supposed to be 5 turning 6 but she speaks like a 3 year old? No. I didn’t feel anything between these two. There wasn’t even time for the reader to come around to them together. There was no lead up. This is not for me and that’s unfortunate because it sounded like it was. I think this could’ve been much much better if excuted properly.

Loved this! From the very beginning I knew I wasn’t going to be able to put it down. Levi and Clare were perfect.
After discovering he has a 5yr old daughter that has just lost her mother, Levi immediately steps up to take responsibility. He wants nothing but the best for her, and that includes a nanny. But he wasn’t expecting to meet her on a plane. Clare, just getting over a divorce and crazy ex, definitely leaves an impression on Levi. But she’s jobless, broke and homeless, so when Levi offers her a temporary job as his daughters nanny she accepts.
This was a good book, it didn’t feel rushed and I loved the instant chemistry between Levi and Clare. She immediately took to his daughter. I definitely look forward to more in this series!!

Normally, I am a fan of Willow Fox, but I have to say that I was not a fan of this series. I finished the book, but only because I wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss something. I guess I love her “mafia” books better. If you like a cleaner, non-violent story, then this will probably work for you. This single billionaire (Levi) turned overnight dad took a complete stranger (Clare) home with him from the airport to watch over his 5 year old daughter. Who does that??? Clare is recently divorced, but still being harassed by her ex-husband. There is an issue towards the end of the story that never got resolved. I will stick to reading her mafia stories and leave this series to everyone else. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

cute…

However I just couldn’t get over the ending I had a feeling it was cut short. But other then that I loved this book tbh it kept me on my toe and reading I actually can’t wait to read the other book in this series but before that I have to go investigate who these authors are because when I was reading these it made me think of another book I read and honestly I want to know if she wrote it but anyways I will definitely recommend this book however tell them in my opinion the ending of the book before the epilogue was cut off short i honestly think there could have been something else added
