Nothing special, nice and quick listen to and from work! Don’t love, don’t hate. Kinda reminds me of a “thriller” version of hallmark movies. Still holding out to find more out about the overall story line wrapped throughout the mini stories 😂
Maybe It's Me This is now the fourth audiobook in the Harley Cole series I've listened to. I like the basic plotlines. I like the history of the main characters. I only *sort of* like the main characters themselves, however.
It seems to me that Cole and her partner don't always act appropriately for their personalities. I don't mean they occasionally "draw outside the lines." Nearly everyone has moments when they act out of character for a number of different reasons. However, Cole and Caldwell seem to slip into alternate personalities at times for no apparent reason other than propelling the storyline.
Maybe I'm just being picky. Maybe it doesn't bother other readers. If so, enjoy the story. It's unique and pretty interesting. You won't be able to unravel the mystery until the end because the author has chosen to hide certain details essential to the case until the last few chapters.
Harley and Callaway are growing as characters, as partners in the jobs they are assigned to and are more intriguing as each story is read. Nowhere Like This is sort of a revival of the music festivals of the '60s and '70s, where there was a load of people, music, camping, etc. but with a killer focusing on girls apparently without any link. The duo will have to work hard to understand what is going on and put the culprit behind bars. Harley continues to look for her sister and she discovers unsettling information. I'm looking forward to reading the following story to discover what'll be happening!
Audiobook - I liked the story. I feel like this series gets better with each book. I am tired of the author teasing the reader about the main character’s sisters death. She keeps stringing this storyline out over every book, but hasn’t yet added to what happened. Finish this storyline out please. Quit leaving tidbits at the beginning and end of the book.

All the people she goes after have such horrifyingly grounds and Cole is always the last to get it. Profiler she is. More psychological then profiler. Great book hard to put down.
