Grey Huffington knows she can pen a short love story and still manages to give us all the feels. I loved this couple. The attraction between Vyking and Able was palpable and their chemistry was powerful. But, I’m still trying to decide if I like or dislike Able. That shyt he pulled had me ready to pull up and fight! I was so angry with him! Dude, you’re a grown azz man! You know better! Vyking and Able had that insta love we all hope crosses our path one day and neither one of them fought it. They knew they were each other’s person so, they didn’t even waste their time playing games. Things are going great between Vyking and Able. They’re going out on cute little dates, getting to know one another, and the sex is fire. Then here comes Able keeping secrets and lying by omission. Really dude?!!! My heart just ached for Vyking because, in just that small amount of time, she gave this man everything and he does that?!!!. She was well within her rights to be angry and cut his azz off. Now, in his defense, I understand why Able was so hesitant to reveal his secret. He didn’t expect to fall in love with Vyking so quickly and so hard. But, you gotta give the man his cool points. He did not let Vyking’s anger deter him one bit. Able said, “So, you blocked my number and blocked me on social media?!!! Bet! I’ll just pull up.” He made a mistake, acknowledged it, and fought hard to prove why he deserved a third chance with Vyking. Yes, I said a third chance. He had another slip up but, you’ll have to read the book to find out what it is. I love an insta love story and this one did not disappoint.

Cute!! Vyking and Abel had me blushing the entire time. Their story gave everything. They met at a party and they were immediately attracted to one another. I love that both Vy and Abel were both so bold, persistent, and intentional in their pursuit of each other. They fell for one another fast and hard. I definitely side-eyed Abel cause he definitely tried Vy. But I was happy they were able to work things out to get their HEA. I'm excited to actually get into Grey's short stories

Grey Huffington needs to explain why her books are so good! Lol this novella was the sweetest boy meets girl story! I loved Vyking’s energy as she wasn’t going to let Able or anyone disrespect her boundaries. I also loved that Able didn’t let her close him out and fought every time to prove why he deserved to be with her! Their coffee dates were so sweet! Also Able’s energy was so 🔥😩. GH, I love your short stories, and this one was no exception! That chemistry between Vyking and Abel, was so powerful! I could almost feel the heat underneath my fingertips! Abel was playing no games when it came to pursuing Vy! Their connection was swift, but so very real! Although Abel was bae, I did want to slap him for keeping such a big secret like that from Vy! 😡 Ughhh….. Vy had every reason to be as upset as she was, but then she goes and keeps an even bigger secret! 🤬 Chile…. I just can’t with these two! But the love they shared would not allow them to part, and I’m glad they finally got it together! Hopefully Chance and Day get a story as well. Good read! 👍👍👍

Imperfect Love

Omg I loved this book so much! I don't understand how she tore my heart apart so many times in less than 100 pages. I mean just how. Abel and Vyking had that insta love that everybody dreams of, but nobody really believes in. From the first day they met the connection was crazy, but after the first date debacle listen I was still rooting for them like I knew them. Sigh, they were black love personified...I mean the music, the food, the language....just everything was US.

Abel was a pediatric doctor and Vy had a stable career she enjoyed. Abel barely had any extra time, but the time he did have he was intentional with making Vy feel special and wanted. They made it work because they wanted to. The lack of communication was so unnecessary and I wanted to go up side Abel's head. Vy though she took the revenge wayyyy too far. Lowkey they were hella problematic, but I just loved them together and I'm glad they got their ish together afrer months of heartache.

Poetic Flow

This is my second read by this author and her style of writing is poetic. Instead of reading just words, you are reading prose, almost like Shakespeare...and that's a gift! As soon as Vyking and Abel laid eyes on each other, it was magical. Then when the conflicts arose, my heart ached and even paused not sure of the outcome. This author does not allow you on an easy journey to HEA at all and I am here for it. Another great read. Now it's time that I raid her catalog! Don't allow the few grammatical errors to throw you off from an engaging storyline. It's a worthwhile read.

Despite the drama that was bound to unfold because let’s face it nothing worth having comes easy, they were always able to find their way back to each other! Grey has a very unique writing voice that I have really come to appreciate. Her attention to details provide a vivid picture as your reading.

Abel and Vy's story was refreshing. I love insta-love. I love when characters get straight to the point. The bumps made the story more realistic and was just enough angst to make sure to keep me grounded because their love had me ready to float away 😊😊😊

Grey is known for her short stories and instant gratification and this one was no different. I believe that she popped Vyking and Abel’s love in the microwave for 30 seconds and ding, it was ready. This one progressed a little too fast for me, I was screaming for Vyking to slow down. Vyking and Abel met and instantly knew that they were each other’s person. I was team Abel through the first misunderstanding and then he had to make me look bad by pulling some BS the second time around. A cute, short and sweet instalove story.

The emotional pull in this story is heavy in the best way. It asks real questions: What is love? Who gets to define it? How much are you willing to endure for it? Loving after betrayal isn’t pretty here. It’s raw. It’s hesitant. It’s guarded. It’s painfully honest.

"I'm halfway through a pregnancy that I could've been sharing with you... should've been sharing with you all along. But, I knew that it would only make you come back. I didn't want you to come back for the baby when you wouldn't even stay for me to begin with." That quote alone is a gut punch. The kind that makes you pause and stare at the page because it says what so many people feel but never voice. The fear of someone coming back for the wrong reasons. The heartbreak of being chosen second after the damage is already done. Grey captured that moment so well, it felt lived in.

What I appreciated most is that this story doesn’t rush forgiveness or romanticize hurt. Trust isn’t automatic just because love exists. Love alone isn’t enough when someone has already shattered your heart. The tension, wanting to believe, wanting to protect yourself, wanting to fight for something that once broke you is where this story lives.

This isn’t just a love story. It’s a question. A challenge. A mirror. By the end, you’re left asking yourself the same thing: If it were your heart, how hard would you fight… and at what cost?

This was another cute short black love story from Grey. Normally I don't care for insta love books but I enjoyed this one a lot. Vyking and Abel had an instant connection and attraction from the moment they met and their relationship blossomed from there. Abel came with the energy that was needed to pursue Vyking and she reciprocated by bringing her own energy to let him know she wanted him as well. As cute as their relationship was it wasn't all smooth sailing. There were instances of lack of communication. Mostly from Abel's part that caused friction and problems. There was also a third act breakup that I wasn't fond of. Not just because I hate third act conflict/breakups with a passion but also because this book wasn't long enough for it to have been written in. The story itself is 96 pages, the final act conflict wasn't needed in my opinion. I also felt the ending was kind of rushed. I know this is an insta love book but for the book to end with Vyking four months pregnant with their son and him only finding out because he showed back up four months after their breakup to win her back left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't care how mad and hurt she was, to not let Abel know she was pregnant was immature. The fact that once she told him and he wasn't upset in the least but instead pulls out a ring and proposes had me looking like wtf just happened. The ending could've been written better honestly but apart from it, this was an enjoyable read.

I have been sitting and thinking on exactly it is I want to say about a story that was good but was missing some parts.The writer gives a story of anticipation and brimming with soulmate attraction. While I am not a huge fan of Insta love,I am a fan of knowing when you've met the right one.We get two adults that know who they are and what they are about but however so.e where along the way Vyking looses me.with the childish out burst . I mean this man is a.doctor, he makes a.decision before you and you claim.to love him and you will not try and work.something out. I mean he's 5hours away not 5 days! Overall this was a good read,one that starts out as an attention grabber,but .along the way you realise that something is missing.Now I would recommend this to a.fellow reader,just let them know to noe expect the full monty.

Vyking x Abel

I loved Abe & Vyking. From the moment they met the energy was giving very much grown & sexy. I enjoyed the getting to know you phase & as always when it comes to the men in Channing, they gone apply pressure, okay !? Now with that said, WTF was going on with Abel ? Abel had me confused because his actions & his words weren't matching up. Not once but TWICE he had my good sis out here looking like a straight goofy. But Vyking wasn't a saint either. She was doing some petty betty stuff. I'm a sucker for when the couples finally get on the same page, so by the end of the book my heart had returned to its normal pace. I wish we could have gotten a lil more about Day & Chance, maybe even a spinoff because the way Day stopped breathing when Chance was at his door was giving me he deep in love vibes 💕

When I say this was one hell of a ride!! So much of this story are like little sprinkles of other Grey Huffington story lines but made into its own as a whole. Short sweet and to the point but with a twist that I was not ready for and it broke my heart. I loved Able and lord that man has to be too good to be true. But once you get there, it's always well worth the effort! Also to be expected, you get expressive, passionate characters like Vyking and Abel to add to the list of an already unique and impressive catalog. Grey Huffington is definitely in her own lane.

Oh my word! Grey!!!! This story was amazing 👏🏾 🙌🏿 Sooooo much said in such a short span if pages. I LOVED Abel and Vyking.
