Super-spy Eric Swan is back in action! This time, he’s investigating a tech billionaire who has curiously turned his attention to the country’s food supply.
Jason Deele has the money and the resources to revolutionize an industry, but there’s a sinister element to his plan.
Even more alarming, Deele has teamed up with a scientist harboring her own evil agenda.
Swan’s pursuit of the diabolical pair takes him across the country and to South America.
Failure would mean not only disaster in the heartland, but catastrophe for the world’s food chain.
Just finished books 2-4. Read book one last summer and decided to get back to Eric Swan when I saw that book 4 came out. I really enjoy these books. The story lines are interesting and realistically scary. I never seem to figure out where the story is headed until it’s revealed, which I love. Lots of twists and turns. I love Eric’s snarky humor, he reminds me a bit of Myron Bolitar (a Harlan Coben character with a smart ass style when he’s in trouble). The concept of Eric being able to download his consciousness, and if he dies trying to save the world, uploading into a new body is fascinating, makes you wonder if you’d do it if you could? The characters are well developed and I really can’t wait for Poole to finally laugh at one of Eric’s quips.
Enjoyed this book and it was left so I hope there will be more to follow. I enjoy reading books by someone I have meant several times. Keep them coming!
