Fantastic read on the body's need for calcium. This book contradicts everything I've believed coming from the medical community about calcium. This one is a tad bit over my head with the medical jargon, but enlightening just the same. Good stuff.

My copy was not new and came with a lot of underlining, which was a great help as there is really a wealth of information in this book. While The calcium Factor was published in 2002, much of what these authors write and warn about has continued to be investigated in research and still holds to be accurate. I was happy to read someone say it is good to drink milk, although many doctors today would disagree. Primarily, I was interested in the information on coral calcium as the best form of calcium as a supplement (the most usable by the body) and all its advantages. You will learn a lot about calcium if you read this book, how we store it in the body, use it, how much we really need, its benefits, calcium deficiencies and its relationship to diseases like cancer, necessary supplements to go along with calcium to make it more efficient, etc. If you are interested in researching the nutrition of calcium, you will enjoy this book as I certainly did.

This book opened my eyes to the process by which cancer grows in the body and how keeping the body alkaline fights cancer. It's so simple, but since cancer is a billion dollar a year industry, the medical community frowns on the authors' claims.

Calcium is necessary for the bones and the skin of humans. Without it tons of disease may appear quietly and deadly. Osteoporosis, Osteopenea and others are silent killers.

Interesting book. Barefoot and Reich lay out the groundwork for why Calcium, and Vitamin D are such important considerations when it comes to everyday health.

The litmus paper test is a game changer. Pre-Covid, light green to dark green. Coming out of Covid, I can't get the paper to change color from base yellow. Wow. What an easy tell tale sign of illness.

Highly recommended for it's easy to read format, and wealth of information. A lot of it being in the realm of alternative health.
