Tara West thrills again. I adore this author wether it be her PNR, fantasy or her reverse harem, she’s guaranteed to leave you with a book hangover... ONCE YOU START YOU JUST CANT STOP!
With this instalment we have secrets revealed and mysteries unfolded. A fabulous storyline with drama action adventure and a few twists you don’t see coming. I can’t wait for the next book in this amazing series.

So this was an odd second book and not quite as enjoyable as the first. Things sorta felt way off track at times with the story going in a hundred directions. Right off the bat, I was not expecting the guys’ (original harem) older dragon brother and his mate would become the other half of this book. It was kinda confusing at first and while I do get why it was useful, I just don’t know if I needed so many intimate details about their time together. First off it’s once again a hella fast jump into bed & mated/devoted- a situation that already happened in the last book. Plus the older brothers are not painted in the best of light so to see this young witch fawn over him (them) was more annoying and off putting than anything. I also found this book to have really awkward, unbelievable but most importantly uncomfortable sex scenes. Just didn’t mesh with this book as much. With only one book left I’m not sure how they’ll save the day as the reincarnations of their goddess or how they’ll win because at this point all the older folk are causing the ruckus & need to take a chill pill, perhaps think of retiring from their power trips.

This is a 3.5 star read for me. The first 30% of the book is a bit hard to get into but, it picks up after that.

A lot of danger, a lot of secrets, a lot of betrayal. Certainly hot. Two, almost three, stories in one!

Looking forward to what happens in the next book.

I knew what I was getting myself into. I read the entire first book, after all. Tara West fantasy is fast-paced, indulgence on a level that will make you laugh, and magical. The twists and turns in the first book were less obvious than this one, but it was still a fun ride. 3.5 for me :)

Dear future self, reading this review, this recap is for you. Seraphina Goldenwand and her boyfriends return for their final semester of high school. Yes, we’re still exasperated that this story doesn’t take place in college, and yes there was a part at the end that was really heavy on the higher-education-is-the-only-way-to-be-successful pedal. I mean, there’s magic, Sera’s about to be a magical Goddess, or at the very least princess consort to a growing realm of shapeshifters and mother of three dragons, there are bigger things going on than the Academy after which the Books are Named and Yet Sera Never Attends. Sera has so far been more than happy to leave egg-care to her mate, Ladon and is happy to postpone a bonding ceremony to level out over last summer’s ordeal. Her father, who has never once come to visit her before, attempts to seduce her to the fae realm, but fails because he’s Obviously slimy. He kidnaps her eggs somehow and the quartet are forced to confront him. They meet Lily, Sera’s sister and heiress of the Phoenix Fire Flame, on their way out. Elsewhere it’s revealed the Firesbreath grandparents are alive and being held captive. Elsewhere, elsewhere, Thaddeus Firesbreath also isn’t dead from last years fatal blow and is being held captive by the Griffin who tried to steal Sera’s boys, Katherine. Her father, a bunch of witches, and other creatures conspire in the background with Nathaniel Goldenwand and Prometheous Periwinkle to erradicate certain magical races with the flick of a single, powerful wand.

There’s a lot going on. In the midst of it, we’re introduced to Violet, the purple haired witch (thanks for making that so easy to remember) who was in school with the older Firesbreath brothers and fell in love with Thaddeus through joined captivity. They escape. Elsewhere, Sera and her boys encounter the boys’ grandparents but they can’t return to the Grotto because they’re being held captive by a Dragon who is slowly losing his mind.
There are a lot of really cool threads that could have been pulled for like, a long slow burn. How awful Violet felt about killing for the first time was quickly swept away whenever Thaddeus even came up in conversation, the elders of the royal shifter line abdicated their thrones by faking their deaths which seemed like no big deal, and the mad King ends the book just as volatile as when it began just no longer under the madness curse. But again, get back on track, this is a fun, fast passed, smutty & slutty little polyamorous treat.

There’s quite a bit of yadda yadda yadda in the middle and it takes a while to get going; Sera is unconscious for a lot of the book which is a bummer because she’s hilarious, and I’m pretty sure she’s the reincarnation of the Goddess or some other such storyline; but there were a lot of characters introduced in this one so maybe it was for the best. In the end, the Phoenix Fire Flame is Lily’s life essence which has aided in bringing the adventure to an end, healing the king and a dying Draque Firesbreath. A baby is found amidst the ashes and Sera, shocked (for some reason), admonishes her father for using her sister for his own ends. She and the Firesbreath brothers bond and they’re able to hear her telepathically as they can hear each other, and Violet is accepted by the triplets in their own time. Sera resolves to raise Lily, determined she should reach adulthood for the first time in thousands of years under her tutelage. Formulaic like the first book, solid, where we begin with her closed off to love and striving for the approval of a grandparent who doesn’t even like her and end with her learning the truth and embracing new love. In book two, we begin with her reluctant to bond and fully accept family, and end with her bonded and embracing family. Beautiful, chef’s kiss emoji, this series is to a fantasy girlie like a comforting ice cream.

Scorching!!!
I normally love just the normal wolf shifter but man these dragons are winning me over. I love that this isn’t just about Dragons but Sirens, Fae, Witches, etc…. The chemistry, love, family bond and action kept this books going.
Poor Serah is betrayed yet again by another family member, her supposed father and he is just heartless!! Thank goodness for her Dragon mates coming to the rescue after being reunited with their own grandparents and missing brother.
This book is filled with so much it was impossible to put down. Once again Tara West did not disappoint and I cannot wait for the 3rd book!!!

Like the first in the series, this is super fast-paced, and jam-packed with action, drama, deceit, corruption and portrays a fragile world on the brink of war. Very well done. Epic read.

There is a lot of insta-love, but it seems to be ‘normal’ for the world, so as long as you can wrap your head around that, I expect you’ll enjoy this read.

The twists in this one will pull at your heartstrings—excellent writing! It ends on a wicked cliffhanger, but that’s no reason to be upset. For one thing, it’s fun, and for another, the next book is available now. :)

4 stars.

Secrets revealed and surprises abound in this fast-paced, super steamy second book of the series that kept me riveted from beginning to end. Serah and her guys may have survived her grandfather in the last book, but will the reappearance of more family be the death of them? A great combination of story and steam with plenty of action and twists you won't see coming. I can't wait to read the next book in the series to find out what the future has in store for these characters!

Fantabulous!!!!

What could be better then sirens, dragons, and magic? The combination makes for one fantabulous read that you will be able to put down. There are Dragon eggs, an absent father appearing, hidden secrets, and several different things going on from different perspectives that make for a combination that you can't help but love. West has some true skills! I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Good book!

Had a lot of adventure and lots of new enemies. But also a lot of new main characters. Honestly I am not sure how I feel about two sets of FMC and their harems in the same books. Also Serah being the main FMC in the first book I expected more action from her like in book one she saved the day. In this book she spends most of her time unconscious and Violet because the heroine.

Totally love this series

Omg what an amazing gripping book yet again. From the start you are thrown into several twists and turns with the appearance of her fae father. As secrets are found out as the story plays out you will not be able to put this down. Still totally love Teju, Ladon and Draque and the bond with Serah. Totally cant wait for the next book

Better then the first book

More action and magic, steamy, and secrets revealed. This book was better then the first in the series and the characters were more developed. Still on the short side which would benefit the story more with more detail has some of it felt rush. The action and battles were well written.

I was so angry for Sera having to deal with her ridiculous father. He didn't give me a good impression of elves in this world. Her dragons make everything better for me and I love the idea of having dragon eggs. Usually the stories don't do things that way. I know if I was going to have multiple babies I would rather lay eggs.

4.5/5

I actually enjoyed this book more than the first one, so I’m glad I gave it a chance. I liked that it focused on Violet and her mate while also including Serah and her harem, which gave a little more variety. I’m interested to see how the author with finish the series with the next book.

I think I like this series of hers even more than I liked her last series that I read, and that's saying something! Sirens, dragons, witches and fae are some of my favorites and here they all are together! Drama, family loyalties, magic, danger, sex..this has it all. Highly recommended!

Great read

This was a great addition to the series. It reads from several pov's and has several stories in one book that all coincide with the main characters and plot. Plenty of suspense and action to keep the pages turning.

Serah and her mates adventures continue. This book feels like two stories in one book. We meet Serah's mates brothers and we are introduced to their mate. This is a brilliant second book and I can't wait for book three.

This is a Reverse Harem Series--okay storyline but just way too many Sex Scenes ..needs more actual story content. I gave 4 stars because of actual pretty good storyline.

I'm so confused

I found the style of writing to be incredibly juvenile. I'm not the biggest fan of multiple story lines I'm lines book, so it really could just be me.
