Falling in love with my brother’s best friend was more than I bargained for.

In Too Deep . . .
Laura Anderson was a journalist, always facing deadlines to get her story written. But the evening before, she didn’t bother proofreading a news story because her colleagues convinced her to have a night out after the long week. Now, with a hangover, she didn’t even take time to stop for coffee on the way in. Her computer wouldn’t boot, so she went down the hall to grab a spare. Hearing voices, she stopped. One speaker she recognized as the CEO of Prime Media, Mr. Harvey, her boss. She didn’t know the other speaker, but he sounded threatening… something about a “last chance to repay the money”.
She stumbled out of the building and ran right into her brother’s best friend, Leo Dawson, a single dad corporate attorney. Leo was smart and knew something was wrong. He had promised her brother he would take care of her and he took that seriously, even though she was a 25-year-old adult. She was surprised when he asked her out for a drink that evening after he got out of court. Laura had no idea that Leo had fallen for her some time ago and only his friendship with her brother Brandon was holding him back from getting serious. But he was worried at what was troubling her. Back at her office, Laura started asking questions to get information on Mr. Harvey. Sometimes she was so intent on pursuing the story that she didn’t look out of the danger it might bring.
Laura met Leo for drinks, then he took her hand and they walked to her apartment. He pulled her against him and told her to tell him if she wanted him to stop. But he has held back for years and wants her to know his feelings. She immediately told him not to stop, although she wondered why he had suddenly changed toward her. Regardless, he was what she wanted. And right in the middle of getting started, Leo’s mom called that his daughter had a fever and wanted to come home. Will Leo and Laura get their chance to pursue this relationship now that they know they have strong feelings for each other? And will Leo be there to help her when the bad guys from her office realize she knows something and come after her? The excitement is about to begin!

I received a copy via book sprout, and I must say I love a good brothers best friend romance. And this didn’t disappoint, it was filled with intrigue, suspense and action I was quickly hooked and couldn’t put my kindle down. This story was very well written and I love how well we were introduced to the characters. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
