Book club made me do it. Having a SLP background made it very repetitive for me. I did enjoy the ice breakers offered, but overall the language was interchangeable to information I’ve already learned. Great for the person who’s struggling to communicate in an unfamiliar or intimidating environment.
This book has an odd amount of errors. It announces the topic of the next chapter, for example, and, then, that next chapter is about something else. It’s like the editor fell asleep, which I would believe as this book is quite dry. There are good insights, but they make up about 5 percent of the text. The other 95 percent is either obvious or obscured in a hopelessly long, repetitive metaphor.
