How does sheep's wool turn into cozy clothing? Follow each step in the production cycle - from shearing a sheep to pulling on a warm sweater - in this fascinating book!

Simple steps are taken to show how a sweater originally comes from a sheep. Each layout features two different texts - a bold main sentence with an explanatory paragraph. Opposite of the large font text is a half-page image. I appreciated the two text forms. With small ones at storytime, I only read the bold print at the top and pointed out the picture. The photographs were crisp and clean, I only wish that there was more consistency. The wool is dyed red and knit red, but the final sweater is pink and white striped. Not a deal breaker, just an annoy factor.
Beautiful photographs throughout. Lays out the process from the baby lambs on the idyllic farm through the lone farmer shearing a single sheep by hand and follows the wool to the ultimate handmade sweater. The text is informative, the subject interesting. To me, as an adult, that is. I'm not sure how it will play with its intended audience. I got this copy free at ALA Midwinter.
This book would even be great for a storytime! It has beautiful photographs and simple straightforward sentences explaining the process. I was definitely engaged the way through!
