Until I Met You

I love listening to a story of older adults who find love later in life…in this case a divorcée and a widower…Vance and Jennifer’s connection was almost immediate and the chemistry was fire….This couple had a lot of nasty hot sex….Jennifer was 49 so her “dirty talk” game was on point. Vance was 53 and he knew what he wanted….no time to play games….Winston James’ narration is ALWAYS sexy….JaAir is continuously getting better…l really enjoyed this story as well as the narration.

Okay mature black love!! I enjoyed this story! Vance was a father that made the ultimate sacrifice to protect his daughter. Years later he has a second chance at love and Jennifer was just that for him! Jennifer had her own traumatic relationship past and was finally feeling like herself again! Meeting Vance took it to the next level! I love how he reaffirmed her! One thing I appreciate about these mature relationships is that no games are played. Intentions are clear and no one is being mislead/strung along. Either we’re doing this or we aren’t!

This was my first read by this author and it definitely won't be my last. This story appealed to the romantic in me. It was a story about love, redemption and second chances. I loved the instant spark between Vance and Jennifer. The heart wants what it wants. Sometimes you are just drawn to a person. I appreciated the message that we are more than our past mistakes. Vance was a good man who let his emotions get the best of 1.him. The minor characters in the story helped the story flow as well. I couldn't stand Oscar. If you want to read a feel good story with some hot sex added this is the book for you.

a redemption story after hard choices
A nice story about a family coping after the father returns from jail.
Vance Etienne was sentenced to ten years in jail after he shot the man who assaulted his only daughter Meena.
When he got out, they began the journey of learning who Vance is now, who Meena and her husband is now and healing that bond.
I love that Vance found God in jail and renewed his faith. But it was clear that he was a good man and deserved the second chance in life.

Thank you for giving us this type of romance
I have been reading a lot of Black Romance since last year and I can count on two hands the books that deal with my demographics--the sho nuff grown folks. So I was happy that Monica gave us this story with grown folks. Vance is my dude and Jenn is my heroine who has overcome so much from her past. Their chemistry was off the charts and their love was genuine. Great love story. Love it!

What a way to come back from such a life altering experience! The law is flawed in many ways! Vance taking it into his own hands is what I feel like 85% of people think about when it comes to protecting their children! Vance and Jennifer’s relationship 👌🏾🤌🏾! I loved him for her! Very different plot, but so worth the read!

There is always one book that touches your heart like no other. Until I Met You by Monica Walters is that book for me. Until I Met You is a seasoned, sizzling, and hot romance. This book didn’t disappoint me at all. When I read a Monica Walters book, I know that I’m going to enjoy it because she writes from her heart. You can feel when you’re reading her books.
Until I Met You tells the love story of Jennifer Monroe and Vance Etienne. Jennifer is a retired Social Worker and Vance is a retired Firefighter. Jennifer and Vance first meet each other when Vance’s daughter Meena picked him for dinner and she was in the car. Jennifer and Vance were attracted to each other from this very first meeting.
Both of them had some obstacles that they beat. Jennifer had been married to a man that was mentally and physically abusive. Vance had done some time for protecting his daughter. Jennifer and Vance didn’t let what happened in their past get in the way of exploring their budding romance and relationship. Will Jennifer and Vance give in to their explosive chemistry? I’m all here for the second chance at love especially black love. Vance and Jennifer are the cutest. I listened to this on audible and it was a bit cringe listening to the sex scenes because I kept picturing my parents lol but other than that the story was cute a bit surface level, no true climax of drama. Nonetheless it was a good palette cleanser.

This is the first time I’m reading this particular author. And it won’t be the last I thoroughly enjoyed Vance and Jennifers love journey. this is a grown and sexy as hell love story. With a strong male lead, and a strong female lead. I thoroughly enjoyed how Vance loved JENNIFER from the beginning. Vance and Jennifer‘s love for each other is bold, fierce and solid. Their story will stay with me for a while. Boldly, I gave them five stars.

Until I met you is a second chance love story. It’s nice to read about couples that are a little more mature. Vance’s super easy transition from prison was a bit far fetched but it was a decent read.

Until you meet the right person, you can't imagine the joy that comes from their mere presence. Vance and Jennifer fit that model for the other. After Vance's legal issues took him away from his daughter, I had a strong feeling this was his metamorphosis. Meena had her father's heart, and I wasn't surprised by his actions. Later in the story after a time away, Vance met a little piece of Meena, and the woman who would be his new found freedom to give his heart a soft resting place. I was so happy when Jennifer found herself again, and loved herself openly. That self love allowed her to open up to Vance and grown even stronger. The story was for all the ladies who doubted their worth, and found their crown perfectly placed in the middle of their graceful glow!

Being in my late 40s I love to encounter a great story with older individuals that come together for great love story full of passion and hot ass sex!
I absolutely loved the story of Vance and Jennifer and how their love began before they even met. How healing their love was not only for one another but for others around them and how their love was family for the grand baby BeBe, to his daughter already having a maternal relationship with Jennifer, so how he was able to teach his son-in-law things from a male perspective.
I absolutely love this author and I’ve read almost her entire collection so of course in my eyes she can do no wrong so this is a another amazing love story.

This was a beautiful story of finding love again at an older age. Vance loved his daughter and did what he felt needed to be done to protect her. He and Jennifer connected from the very beginning. Vance loved her out loud and he made sure that she knew she was loved and appreciated. He was a great man. He took care of those he loved. And talk about the 🌶️. Whew.

Mrs. Walters has done it again she knocked this one out of the park. It's a home run. Vance and Jennifer's romance was sizzling. Their insta-love took off and came full throttle until they met at the altar. He was a seasoned old school gentleman that believed in taking care of his queen. He made sure to pamper her from the crown of her head to the sole of her feet.
I always love how the men and women in your stories are a success or get a second chance in life. Vance made a serious mistake by taking his daughter's boyfriend's life after the abuse. He did the time for his mistake but was still blessed with a strong intelligent beautiful black woman. He also got to help raise his granddaughter. He just came out on the other side of his mistake well. He even got forgiveness from the mother of the young man he killed. He realized his downfall for leaving his daughter but regained himself as a man.
Jennifer also overcame some horrible abuse in her life. She took physical, mental, and emotional abuse from her ex-husband for years. Once she started to regain herself and boost her self esteem she came out of the other side of it a much stronger woman. She knew her worth and what she was not settling for any longer. Her and Vance union was a match made in heaven.

In true queen fashion, Monica wrote her ass off in this book. It was for the grown folks hunny! Vance was definitely his daughter’s protector when he found out she was in a abusive relationship and stopped to no lengths to protect her. When he came back from his vacation😉, times changed but he was able to come back to society like he never left, and then he met Jennifer. Chile these seasoned adults wasted no time getting to know each other lol. I’m glad Jenn wasnt stuck in the mindset of a battered woman because just like his daughter, she went through it to. She took the time to rebuild herself before getting into a new situation. Often times women are quick to either get into a relationship or just m stick in the mind frame of being self conscious about men. That wasn’t Jenn at all! She took one look at pops and it was a wrap from there🤣. The two feel in love quickly girl. And Jenn ex🙄. Theeee audacity. I was over him at his first introduction. Overall great book!

I absolutely loved this story!!! Vance and Jennifer were the sweetest and deserved it all. After enduring some of life’s hardest moments, these two found an instant love. Vance was giving me Zaddy vibes the whole book. And Jennifer definitely got her groove back; my girl was willing to risk it all from the very beginning 😩🙌🏾. This was a wonderfully entertaining book that was executed very well. I literally couldn’t stop reading. I was getting all the loving vibes and these two were bonafide freaks, my goodness. Lol. I loved the growth from each character, their ability to communicate, and forgive one another really helped their relationship. I knew from the beginning that Vance was going to have Jennifer as his wife, it was inevitable. It’s always funny to me, how ex lovers pop up out of nowhere when the other starts bossing up. Great work on this one! ❤️

This was such an amazing, beautiful, and wonderful story, older story.
Jennifer was a beautiful (BBW) soul and she deserved the best after what she went through and she found it in Zaddy.
Vance also been through some stuff and although he paid for all of it and he needed a second chance which he got the second he came out... Zaddy and bae put tighter for sure and we have a zaddybae in the house...
Meana and Tyrone were probably the most boring couple ever for being so young where Vance and Jennifer truly we're freaks on wheels. Love it!!! Love in the 50's is the bomb it seems. I surely hope I can get to this point and this stamina that these two had together because I surely need some now...

So Good!
This was an intense, passionate, emotional love story! That first scene with Vance, so was not expecting it to end like that. Just, whoa. But respect his commitment to do whatever to protect his only child. I loved Jennifer's story. It was very realistic to see a woman in a toxic relationship go through depression, but slowly do the work to pull herself up and out. I loved that Jenn had taken on a motherly role in Meena's life. Made it even easier for her and Vance to let themselves fall in love when those closest to them were rooting for it. I really enjoy Ms. Walters' seasoned romances, clearly age ain't nothing but a number! Great job!🌟

Vance and Jennifer will give you hope one second chances in life
I truly admire Vamce and Jennifer and how they allowed their second chances at life and love to help them grow individually and together. Every man should be the kind of man that Vance is for his family. I love how he worked on his anger to become a better person. Belan made me smile so much with how she loved her NaNa and PaPa. I was worried about Tyrone's parents for a minute but I'm happy things worked out in the end. That Oscar was a piece of work. Men like that never learn and will always be miserable like that. Great story and the sex scenes were top shelf!! I love me a seasoned zaddy story lol

Grown and Sexy!
Miss Monica gave us some grown folks ish right here! Loved Vance from the start, how he loved and cared for his baby girl. Was saddened that he let his emotions overrule his thoughts, that placed him in a bad situation, leaving Meena. Jennifer, was such a sweet soul, who married the wrong man. She almost allowed him to get the best of her, but she persevered. Vance meeting Jennifer was kismet! Both carrying baggage, but had so much love to share, that they healed each other. This couple's chemistry was off the damn chain! I was hearing Feel the Fire in my head, when they were together. So good! Great job! 👍👍👍

Absolutely amazing!!!
This storyline was everything! Vance being the father and protector that his daughter needed while risking his freedom to save her was the ultimate sacrifice. To overcome that and meet the woman to help him heal was a blessing. So many women experience abuse and are afraid to move forward but with the help and strength that Jennifer had, she was able to get her life back. I really enjoyed this story and would recommend to anyone to read this beautiful story of Vance and Jennifer’s journey to love and happiness.

Jennifer and Vance, another awesome love story from Monica. What would you do for those you love? Vance proved that he was willing to risk it all for his daughter. He paid his debt to society and was granted another chance at life and love once he was released. Jennifer was a sweet woman that had been used and abused in the name of love. Yet, once she dedicated herself to being happy again she did just that. She and Vance met due to a connection they established through Vances daughter Meena. That connection would immediately spark and turn into a meaningful and beautiful love. The book discusses many issues from abuse, self esteem, alcoholism, communication and what it truly means to love someone. Awesome book.

Love Wins. Monica has done it again. I really enjoyed this story about Vance and Jennifer. Two people who were on the road to getting a second chance at rebuilding their lives and finding love. Vance, a man with a strong thuggish persona but also a protector who would do anything for those he loved no matter the consequences. He definitely makes you want to find a Vance of your own. Jennifer was a woman who saw the good in all and had a kind heart but unfortunately she was taken for granted by the wrong man. I was glad that she was able to take control of her life and not let her past completely bring her down. I loved the chemistry between Vance and Jenn. It was off the charts and you could definitely feel the heat and passion they had for each other. No holds barred with these two. Whatever they wanted, they went for it with no regrets afterward. I love a good black romance story and this one here gives you hope that finding a true mate at any age can happen.

Yasss... Monica is truly one of my favorite new authors to me. I love all her work thus far but she seriously has the seasoned Zaddy pen game on lock. Vance was a protector and loved hard which almost cost him everything. He got a second chance at life and love with Jenn who deserved all that at more. Jenn showed out for the forty-fine and fluffy ladies. She lost herself for a long while but her come back game was strong. I loved how they came together and the sex scenes were spicy as hell. Another great book!
