Monster Punk Horizon book 3. Spoilers ahead for the first two in a tale of more exuberant adventure.
Pix realized that, after the last two books, that her sword is on its last legs. She's considering going after a monster only semi-documented, the Xession, to get material and money to survive. Jaz is all up for it, of course.
It involves discovering another monster can be talked with, meeting up with friends, discussions of the attractiveness of teeth, a monster that gets drunk on bread, an amazing gem, discoveries about monsters, and more.
This series continues to be an incredibly enjoyable story! The characters continued to grow in this novel, although this wasn’t the main focus of the book. With the main plot of the first two books in this series taken care of, I was curious about what direction this book would take. Where the first two books felt more like a main quest, this third book felt more like a side quest. Not necessarily a bad thing, and I’m not sure if I expected more or not, but I was happy with what this novel was! It was a nice, if not equally intense, break from the insane happenings in the first and second books. Even with the side quest vibes, it still had the hilarious conversations, unique characters, intriguing fantasy elements, exciting adventure and action scenes, and jaw-dropping surprises. I was definitely not disappointed! This book also gave me a glimpse into what a normal situation within this world would look like, which just added to the richness of the story itself. Definitely a great addition to this world and series!

In order to advance, our heroines need to take on bigger challenges, but picking the right challenge makes all the difference.
This is book three of the series, but it works just fine as a standalone. All the essential bits are covered early on.
This is a litRPG story with a serious side of humor. While serious and humor typically don't belong in the same sentence, it works just fine to describe this story. The story is well written, easy to read and packed with stereotypes and jokes at every turn. The characters were great with varied and distinct personalities that made for fun interactions. Each book we get to discover new monsters and new challenges, which makes for great fun. Add in plenty of action and monster hunting and you have another great book. I definitely look forward to more in this series.
Highly recommended.

Jaz and Pix are back for more adventures! This time, the team has to track down a monster that is usually not found in their jungle in order to farm some rare material.
This third volume of the series was fun, light and entertaining. It was a short read and felt like a side story. It was nice to see a day in the lives of the team but to be honest there wasn't anything that really caught my interest. The quest was fine but nothing of the scale of the first two novels and nothing that leaves you expecting for more.
I was also a bit disappointed to not read about Kaito which I had liked very much in the previous book.

I really enjoyed this book! The dialogue is snappy, the action is quick and on point. I’ve really come to appreciate the world under the Dazzling Skies.
It was also nice to see more character insights into Pix and Dwayne, especially with Pix taking the fore in this story. She’s an interesting character but has been more in the sidekick role over the past two books. I look forward to greater character development - and more exploration of the Monstrous Continent - in book 4!

Another fun and epic adventure for the Dragon Pig Pirates. This one sees them coming up against the craziest of monster's yet and the humour and banter just keeps getting better. Jaz is, well Jaz and Pix seems to come into her element a lot more in this adventure. Love it! Funnily enough, every time Dwayne was speaking I heard it as Taika Waititi's Korg voice lol
I find myself wondering if there's any chance of book 4 coming as I've really enjoyed getting to know this world!.

Even weirder monsters – teeth everywhere – and an unusual commission by an even stranger boss to fulfill. If they succeed the rewards will be immense. If they fail? They’re toast!
Love this series…I cannot wait for Book Four! I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
I enjoyed this book, to the point of losing some sleep to finish a certain scene (no spoilers). There were times when I laughed and times when I cringed, so clearly I was getting into the book. I'm hoping there is another book, to see if "things" progress.

I'm still finding Jaz and Pix entertaining. Their monster fighting adventures are only enhanced by the other secondary characters. They were entertaining and overall it was a grand adventure for the characters and reader.

Excess by H P Holo continues to deliver with the unique world and off beat humor. It took a bit to warm up, but once it got going it was awesome, definitely made me laugh. I'm looking forward to the next book.

What a fun read and ride this was. I just finished the third of the series, which is all that was available at this time. i loved the interaction of the characters and the quirekness of the people and environment and story development. Some thngs are ridiculous, but work in the overall setting. Make sure to pick this up if you are looking for a light and fun story. Given the environment there is not a lot of world exploration going on, but having some of the characters come from different worlds add an eclectic mix to the story.
