Such a fantastic story that shows you what you can hear subconsciously while in a coma or asleep wrapped up in an interesting tale about a police detective shot 12 times while on duty. You meet some fantastic characters throughout the the first part of the story, who end up totally different when the cop finally comes out of his coma.
With thrills and actions that Will hold your attention, this story pulls every episode together with one heck of an ending!! Makes you question things you may believe about the human brain, in a story that is fun and satisfying!!

Great story

I was a bit disappointed with the ending but it wasn't bad enough to ruin the rest of the book.

What fun this as ! A detective gets shot 12 times and left for dead. While in a coma he hears things and dreams. His dreams are real to him and takes us the reader into his horror world. This was like a Stephen King writes a series of Twilight Zone episodes ! Awesome cast of characters, continuous mystery/intrigue and a terrific story line makes this a must read !

I loved the original short story, but had to really push myself to get through this full collection. I found it to be too repetitive & in need of some basic research into a few things. Tighter editing of the full set & a couple of Google searches would have made all the difference & resulted in more stars. Disappointing.

A detective, Peter Murphy, is shot 12 times

He wakes up in an Escalade as Peter Weller with a Guardian Angel next to him and is told he has to solve bizarre crimes and if successful he might have a chance to return to his body, his wife, and his children.

A good supernatural read

Overall another winner from Gingham. Great characters and storyline. And the switch to supernatural is new but we'll done. but I do wish it wasn't written like a TV show with the repetition of the plotline at the start of every chapter.
