Nothing can go wrong when a Paddington Goes out to trick or treat with his friends, or would there be some spooky going ons throughout Halloween night.
Paddington was really happy for Trick or treating, he must of been looking forward to it for ages as he seems to have really enjoyed it in this short book.

I collected this yesterday from my local bookshop. I had been meaning to leave it until closer to Halloween, but I gave in.
I have been a fan of Paddington for nearly 40 years now, so he is a bear very close to my heart. This book for Halloween was a very cute addition to his adventures. Illustrations are by R. W. Alley and they are very cute; lovely colouring and they perfectly bring Paddington to life. For a bear who seems to attract mishaps, there actually wasn't anything too much that went wrong for him, but the story was still cute.
For younger readers, this is a lovely non-scary Halloween tale.

Aww I love Paddington, he's such a sweet natured soul! Paddington's Trick or Treat is a lovely story but what really did it was the wonderful illustrations by R. W. Alley - they're just sublime.

The story can be enjoyed by a wide age range due to the longer sentences, the slightly more complicated words than a younger children's book would contain and the eye catching illustrations. As an adult I enjoyed reading it to my sons, my older son enjoyed reading a few of the pages himself and my youngest son enjoyed pointing out the illustrations.
There was a good flow to the book with lots of different things happening. It captured my oldest son's attention and he enjoyed reading it through together a couple of times.
The font was easy to read and coloured black on a white background. The text was in blocks in different places throughout the book which added interest. You always knew where to read next.
The illustrations were beautiful. Sometimes it was a whole picture covering part of the page and other times it was individual objects dotted around the page. I liked the fact that each time you looked at the illustrations you could find something new. My youngest kept pointing at different bits saying "look, look". The pictures paired well with the story and added something extra. I was able to talk to my youngest son about what was happening so that he could access the story in his own way.
As always we loved the characters and their individual personalities.

I’ve just read this book to 4 year old Tilly, and she loved it! And Atti, who is 2, was also transfixed. Lovely book!
