This mini-series tries to create an incredibly complex world that borrows from existing fiction. We have the land of Oz, and Robin Hood, and a ton of Fae, and an angel, and a succubus, and magic magic everywhere. Which would be fine and dandy if this had 50 issues to introduce and explain things. Instead, everything gets thrown in a blender without the top on and we get an example of abstract expressionism all over the kitchen walls.
Midnight Kiss is a perfect example of being over-ambitious.
