It was Shadows Landing with its unique brand of crazy so it was fun but if I have to talk about Ryker and Kenzie individually, I can't say I appreciated this book.
Which is a shame cuz I was looking forward to Ryker's book so much. Kathleen's books are like being part of an inside joke .... it's always fun and brings a smile to my face but here....I feel like, the more powerful the character, the more sappy his book is. (This happened with Sebastian's book too but that was still better than this one 😕)

I have been waiting for Ryker's story. We knew there was something in his past that made him the way he was. It was finally good to find out what made the broody billionaire! This was a story for all stories. Once again this author did not disappoint. But this time she including my other favorite genre mafia! This story was about healing and reconciling the past so you can have a future. Ryker had a wall of steal around his heart when it came to matters other than family and business. Kenzie left her small town to pursue her dreams and was shunned by her family and town. To say they are blown together and it is off to the races from there is an understatement. This author is brilliant at molding different book worlds into each other with the underline being family. There is also just enough humor that you find yourself laughing out loud a lot then holding your breath the next page. After reading her books I always find myself wishing that these worlds really existed and I could go visit!

Finally!

Everything I expected from a Shadow's Landing novel (or Keenston) and so much more!
I know there's still more to come, yet Ryker's story was one I knew I would have the amazing laughs, but with very convoluted suspense, as he is a rather convoluted man.
Kenzie, wow you couldn't have Ryker come up with a more perfect woman for himself. Almost, as if, you could read his mind!
I completely loved how she didn't care about anything but him and his family, and of course the amazing twin of Shadow's Landing! She truly is an amazingly convoluted woman and unexpected woman ,perfect for Ryker!
Favorite line, Bubba ate a man for me, can you say that? I died!
Loved every moment,as I have since the cousins of Keenston in Shadow's Landing began, but Ryker and Kenzie's story will definitely stay with me! (I also waited till now to read, house completely empty this morning,yeah!, because I wanted to enjoy, even though was on Kindle at 1am release date!)
Absolute hysteria, with suspense, true love, and of course one kick axx woman!

Endless Shadows is the seventh book in the Shadows Landing series by Kathleen Brooks. Shadows Landing Series combines small-town charm, suspense, and a dash of romance.
This is a contemporary romance series with a small-town setting, some romantic suspense elements, a little drama, intrigue, tension, mystery, humour, and adventure.
After reading Ms. Brooks ‘Bluegrass’ series, and not being as ‘blown away’ by them as I had expected and hoped, I wasn’t sure if I would take the plunge into this series or not. But as they were sitting on my TBR already, and also wanting to clear my TBR list, I decide to just dive in and get them done. I have to admit that, thankfully, I did ‘enjoy’ this series a bit more than the Bluegrass books.

Loved it!

Finally, we find out what made Ryker move over to the dark side. What has tormented him for over 20 years and I will say, it was well worth the wait.

Kenzie is an angel in many ways. She rescues Ryker and saves his life, twice. She fits in with his family and Shadow Landing perfectly, and she helps to slay Rykers demons once and for all. Ryker has finally gotten a glimpse of the light and he wants it more and more. Finally seeing that he has always been surrounded by the love of family and friends makes him understand that his heart can finally thaw and he can live again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and loved how we got to see a different side of Ryker but at the same time we still can see the ruthless businessman we know and love.

The set up for Sebastian and Greer and the trip for Evie to hopefully meet the man of her dreams was a great taste of things to come.

What's not to love? Mobsters, pirates and crocodiles oh my! 🐊

Oh how I love Shadows Landing and all the folks in it. After all its just as unique a town as its sister town Keeneston is (her other series). I've been desperate for Ryker to get his own book, and boy was this one a doozy!!!! Everything from dueling mob families, pirate ghosties, crocodiles and more make an appearance along the way....not to mention a few appearances from a couple Keeneston family members 😉. There's tons of action, intrigue, reveals, romance, witty banter, and lots of family within these amazing pages. Every time I visit Shadows Landing I feel like I'm with friends. I always leave with a smile on my face and wanting to visit again soon. I cannot wait to see who gets the next adventure in the follow up book!!! Here's hoping they too earn an apple pie 🍎.

I had been eagerly anticipating Ryker's book. I had been wondering about the secret. When it was finally revealed, it wasn't quite what I expected, but it was interesting.

I liked Ryker and Kenzie together. I liked that she gave him a sense of peace finally. What was amazing to me was the way Kenzie rolled with the punches. I guess that came from being an ER nurse. I was right there with Kenzie until she did that incredibly stupid thing. She did not strike me as that kind of h.

The whole mob situation and the outcome were twists that I truly did not anticipate. Once again, the Shadows Landing crew came through in their usual "unusual" way. Also as usual, Eric G. Dove's narration was on point!

Oh my Ryker’s story more than what you could want

Awesome story. We’ve been wondering about Ryker’s backstory for awhile. We finally get it in this book. We get thrown into the world of crime families, emergency rooms, docks and many other places that throw Kenzie and Ryker together. We see more people of some of the Keeneston family member and Sebastian and his tech team make an appearance. We even begin to see Sebastian worry about Greer much like Ryker worries about Kenzie. Of course Bubba and the Shadows Landing crew are there to provide not only comic relief but also how they all come to protect one of their own. Enjoy another visit with the Shadows Landings folks.

He lives in the shadows..

...punishing himself every day for a past he had no control over!
Can Kenzie drag him kicking and screaming back into the land of the living? I love that we finally get to see Ryker fight his demons and begin living again rather than just existing. We have seen the cold and ruthless business man but here we see the funny, warm and loving Ryker break through the ice and the already sexy Ryker becomes sizzling hot and totally irresistible.
We also have plenty of action from Bubba, the Shadows Landing ghosts and of course the crazy Keeneston cousins!

Bubba the Bodyguard

Do you ever read a book you just wish would keep going? I want to find out more about the fun, loving Shadow ' s Landing family and friends now....June 2022 seems so far away ! Ryker needed a special book and this is it! You get to be in his head and find yourself in the middle of extreme danger and finally, sweet romance. The humor flows and makes everything work. I strongly recommend this book but I know you'll enjoy it better if you start with the first book to get the abundance of characters straight. I haven't read all of the Keeneston series but I plan to.

Ryker Faulkner one of the family featured in all the books is self made and rich. He is having some issues with the mob as they are trying to take over his shipping port, one of his many ventures. He actually has his hands in many enterprises. He is almost killed when a bomb goes off in the middle of the night at the port. He is saved by an off duty nurse Kenzie on her way home from her shift.

This is the first one by this author that to me was not that good, it is lightweight and rather silly. The plot and so many hijinx ruined the suspense. The whole drama with the high school reunion was just dumb.

Although I like the series as a whole this one was definitely weak

Loved it.

The final cousin in Shadows Landing has found his love. Rykers past was so heartbreaking but in secret while he is still haunted by what he blames himself for, he is doing so much for others. Kinsley is the perfect match for him. I absolutely adored this story and I can not wait to read Edie’s and Olivia’s stories and then onto the NEW series.

I love Kathleen Brooks stories so much and I love that she has so many ties to almost all the characters she writes, with her other series. It is great to get to see familiar characters again.

Out of the darkness and into the light

As a fan of all workings from Kathleen Brooks, I can say this is yet another great installment of the Shadows Landing series. All the feels are in play when the elusive executive, Ryker Faulkner, is saved from the darkness from a life altering event from his past through the kindness and care of a nurse that saved him from a fire.

Not to give too much away, you will be taken on an adventure you will absolutely love, set in a town you wish existed, and with characters you would want as friends....

A fun trip to Shadows Landing

Yes!!! Finally! Ryker got his story… and wow! It was better than I even thought it would be! I obviously have a thing for the bad boys who melt for their women (ex- Ahmed and Dylan lol) and Ryker was exactly what I wanted him to be! Kenzie was perfect for him- she wasn’t afraid to stand up to him, or stand beside him when it mattered! I love love love all the books by this author, and Endless Shadows is no different! Make sure you check it out and all her other books too!!

Ryker and Even Bubba Can Be Tamed

Ryker has always been one of my favorite characters in his own brooding, serious, and anti-social way. I loved how Kenzi’s character was written. She was perfect for Ryder and I think because of her profession as an ER nurse, she knew how to handle all types of personalities. This story contained everything needed to make it the suspenseful, romantic, fun story that only Ms. Brooks know how to write. Yes, there were several LOL moments! Can’t wait for future stories.

Eric G Dove was perfect for this book. I enjoyed his narration and honestly can not imagine any one else being the narrator.

This is the story of Ryker and Kenzie. We learn the reason he has been so cold & closed off. The two meet in a blaze and the fire of love keeps growing . I loved this story. I now want to join a sewing club and have a big water pet..... Shadows Landing's is one place to live. We have action, crime, lots of great humour , family and love. Oh yes a good old fashion nun...watch your knuckles

I knew rykers book would be good

Ryker has been one of my favorite characters since the beginning of the series. Although his presence was felt in each book as a dominant support, it still felt like he was in simmer. There was no doubt that his own book would turn the dial up to octane. So good. So much character development. And Kenzie was THAT GIRL! I love this series so much and can’t wait to Start the bluegrass series about all the keeneston uncles which I know will be just as mind blowing.

Healing

Worth the wait!

Kathleen is my number 1 favorite author!
I have never been disappointed and always look forward to the next adventure. I know that this story had to be on her mind for a while. Ryker story has been the one I’ve been waiting for. We’ve seen dark and brooding Ryker throughout the rest of the Shadows landing series and although he always came off gruff, he would do anything for his family. Finally we find out what tragic event happened to make him the way he is as he discovers what it’s like to have a partner in Kenzie. Such a great story with all the laughter and action I’ve come to expect with Kathleens books a must read.

The best book in this series by far! Ryker is a hard ruthless businessman that would do anything for his family, Kenzie is a hard working nurse whose family doesn't understand her choices. This book was very good. This is about Ryker Faulkner. He has built an empire by being ruthless and now someone wants to take it away and he is not going to let that happen. He ends up in the hospital and the night nurse Kenzie Carys , saves his life. He gifts her with an award for saving his life. Another grand slam out of the park!!! I love this community of family this author has created. We finally learn about the incident in young Tyler's life that changed him. Loved It

Taming Bubba - Oh Emm Geee! Embroidery group as well as the knitting group is awesome. The church bells ringing for help. Bombs, possible RPGs, attempted kidnapping, high school reunions, and more... as always, Kathleen does a great job of combining laughter and suspense into a story you don't want to put down.

Stitching him back together

Ryker has had my attention from the first time he said, "Death cooties" in Wade's book! He is such a strong character that I had trouble imagining who would be able to put him.back together. I absolutely love visiting my favorite South Carolina town and can't wait to see what will happen next!
