#1 bestselling cosmic horror writer Donald Morrison’s Deadslayers is a brutal dark fantasy epic where death is no longer an end—but the beginning of an unstoppable nightmare.

The lands of Winterhold are dying. A vengeful necromancer has risen from the shadows, unleashing an endless legion of the dead upon the living. Villages are erased in a single night. Kingdoms fall silent beneath rotting banners. The living are hunted without rest, and with each passing day, the army of the dead grows stronger. Humanity stands on the edge of extinction, its future measured in borrowed time.

Yet amid the ruin, whispers speak of a prophecy—a boy who may hold the power to stop what has been unleashed. Sarnan Woodlock, a hardened survivor haunted by loss, and his band of unlikely companions must cross a shattered world of dark sorcery, cursed battlefields, and relentless undead to find the child before the necromancer does. But the journey will demand more than steel and courage. It will demand sacrifice.

As the dead rise in endless numbers and the world itself begins to fall into shadow, Sarnan and his companions must confront a terrifying some forces cannot be defeated. Only endured.

Perfect for fans of The Witcher, Game of Thrones, and Dark Souls, Deadslayers is a relentless dark fantasy tale of survival, prophecy, and the thin line between the living and the damned—where heroes are not born, but forged in the ashes of the end.

A D&D adventure and The Walking Dead had a baby.

Oh wow this book literally has it all. The brooding hero, the unflappable rogue and the tough as nails but vulnerable female ranger on a quest to destroy the source of an undead horde.

The visceral, gory descriptions were really well done. You can almost smell the blood and offal as these heroes slice and dice their way across the land.

The emotional impact was also felt. Everyone has lost so much in this story. Sometimes the undead were also the least of the heroes' problems. The remaining living were often even more dangerous and unpredictable.

Amazing book, I look forward to reading more from this author!
