His ship arrives in Liverpool, he meets Hannah Dawson, her father’s extremely religious and he’s crazy. He’s a bully, he hits his wife Sarah, Hannah and her sister younger Judith. Hannah works for her father, he’s owns the Morton Coffee Company and it’s struggling financially. Hannah looks just like Will’s stepmother Elizabeth, and they discover she’s Hannah’s aunt and her mother’s long lost sister. She left England fifteen years ago, she disappeared and Sarah had no idea her sister was living in Australia.

Will’s devastated when he finds out Hannah was forced to marry someone else, he leaves Liverpool on a ship bound for Africa, and when he returns months later, and he’s shocked to discover Hannah isn’t legally married to Sam. Hannah and Judith are finally free from their father and his violence.
