Nathan K—he can hold two souls in his body. If he dies, he loses one yet lives on with the other. As long as he replenishes his second soul, he cannot be killed. Nathan K is immortal.
FACING A MADMAN
Years ago, Nathan had one encounter with Russo, the Puppeteer, and it nearly killed him. Permanently. But when he started his war against the Immortals, he knew someday he would have to go up against Russo again. Meeting Deanna Altman, an ex-MI5 agent bent on vengeance for Russo’s abuse of her sister, Nathan knew that day would come sooner than planned.
Now, with the help of his constant companion and tech genius, Robin, the three have tracked Russo into South Korea. But finding the Puppeteer and taking him down are two very different things. Matters only get worse when a mysterious boy who might be able to give Russo more power, a secret sect of monks that trade their lives for a taste of immortality, and the North Koreans all get involved.
Yet if they can survive, Nathan and his team will strike a major blow in his personal war.
Stuart Jaffe is the madman behind the Nathan K thrillers, Max Porter paranormal-mystery series, The Malja Chronicles, The Bluesman series, and much more. He has written numerous short stories in Fantasy, SF, and Horror. He was also the co-host of The Eclectic Review (http://eclectic.libsyn.com) -- a podcast about science, art, and well, everything.
Stuart lives in rural North Carolina, and for those who keep count, the latest animal listing is as follows: one dog, two cats, one albino corn snake, three aquatic turtles, assorted fish, seven chickens, and a horse. Thankfully, the chickens and the horse do not live inside the house.
Nathan K is back, and he’s still gunning for Russo. In this latest, Nathan K and the gang are in South Korea, and Nathan must head to North Korea to make a rescue attempt. Like almost every time, something goes wrong, and Nathan must deal with the fallout. Russo pops up at all the wrong times, and Nathan finally has to confront him. As always, this book is filled with non-stop action, and you feel for Nathan and Robin. I still continue to love their friendship, and I hope to see more Altman. This is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, really similar to a Bond movie. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
I absolutely enjoyed this book, it had quite a few twists and turns, especially considering that I thought we had exhausted Nathan's range of capabilities. I'm so excited to find him harnessing the darkness and using it for good. I wonder if he can become even more powerful, he seems as surprised as I was about his newfound capabilities which I loved! Can't wait to see what he does next, I'm excited since he's taking down all the bad guys. Next please!

Great characters and world with a story to keep you glued to the pages. You will probably read late into the night, I did. I always do with Stuart's stories. I highly recommend all of Stuart's books.
