- I listened to this one on an audiobook while knitting, so the experience was light like a breeze, and quite pleasurable. I was acquainted with the subject of blockchain and cryptocurrency by earlier reading “The Story of the Blockchain”, this book cemented all my previous knowledge and also expanded some. Even seeded some doubt about whether I should invest in cryptocurrency or not…
- I think this book would be useful for someone who intend to really take a dive into the cryptocurrency trend, as it contains detailed advice on the major cryptocurrencies, how to create a wallet, how to trade, where to trade, how to mine... The authors even included some sounding investment strategies for good measure.
- The only quibble was the relevance of this book to the present conditions of the market. Although the information stated this book was published in 2019, all of its data was of 2017 the latest. Take the example of the Bitcoin price in the 2017 and now – it had doubled! If only I had foresight, I would have been rich!!!
I didn't expect much, but it's basically a bunch of introductory articles on cryptocurrencies bundled together with some laughable advice. Did not particularly enjoy either the content or the style of writing. Feels like a completely biased view and only scratches at the very surface on most topics.
With crypto picking steam again, I wanted to brush up my knowledge of the subject and decided to pick up this book. Should have selected a better book – any book would have been better.
This is not a book - It’s a collection of random essays on cryptocurrency, and most of them are antiquated and has less relevance in 2020. In one sentence, a sheer waste of paper it’s printed on.
I was hoping for more technical details about how Bitcoin and Blockchain technology works. It doesn't go much beyond "it uses SHA-256 encryption." It seems to be more for people wanting to learn what they can do with Bitcoin rather than learning about the underlying technology in any meaningful sense.
