In 2947 A.C. The Terran Federation is an exciting place to be. It embraces almost 2000 planets. Powerful neighbors covet our space. The Navy is strong, confident, and vigilant. Without warning a million amiable, apparently harmless, and primitive aliens appear on a new colony world. deep in Terran space Evidence points to a race that used wormholes to jump across the galaxy to deliver these harmless aliens. It becomes the Navy's top priority to find this race, determine its intentions, and unravel the secret of wormhole travel. Admiral Ahrens’ determined investigation uncovers evidence that the delivery of the aliens was only a ploy by alien agents to trick us into discovering wormhole travel. It becomes evident, much too late, that the aliens have also infected humanity with a biological agent that changes our DNA to give us increased intelligence and limited telepathy. Someone thinks we’re going to need these gifts…or they are a Trojan Horse.
