Where blessings and curses collide, even the moon holds secrets of its own....
Seventeen-year-old Lorileen Masters is cursed. To undo the damage, she must travel all the way to the vindictive witch Rhiannyn's lair and bargain for a reversal, even as demon shades stalk her. That is, until she's rescued by a highwayman hunter on a golden horse. Archer Cross seems to possess a remarkable - if not mysterious - shielding effect against Lori's shades, so much that she insists he chaperone her to the witch's woods.
Neither expected the love of a lifetime; yet, that is exactly what Lori and Archer find in each other. But if Lori succeeds in reversing her curse, then she'll retain no memory since its casting - including every moment with Archer. Will she abandon her quest to vanquish the darkness that haunts her, or can the heart's true love prevail even apart from the mind's memory?

What I think I loved most about this book was how vivid the world was that C.K. Brooke created. With the actual descriptions of the world, and the likable characters. The author has an amazing way of writing that makes you feel like you are apart of the story.
The plot is very simple. A young girl with a curse travels to faraway lands with a male companion to confront the witch so she can negotiate with her to get her normal life back. The characters had a lot of personality and really wished the book was longer so we could learn more about them.
Overall it was an interesting page turner! A great simple story, sometimes a little creepy.
As you know life has a way of throwing a curve into its path and changing the path of your destiny, because most likely it has already happened to you in one form or another.
With the author’s skill of writing this novella you find yourself stepping into Lorileen Masters’ shoes and that you’re a teenager, a teenager who has basically everything she wants to have based on her family’s situation; but the only thing which prevents this from being an ideal situation is that you and your family have both been cursed by a malevolent witch, and it’s up to you to undo it.
You’re told the only way for this to happen is to confront the witch face to face and work out an amiable agreement for the curse to be lifted; not an easy task since there’s usually a formidable price which would be demanded to be paid.
Lorileen’s trek is quite daunting as she’s constantly being stalked by shadows, shadows which can only belong to the witch. But her white knight, Archer Cross, in the guise of a hunter, comes to rescue her and then protect her until she reaches the destination of her quest, with his surprising power over her shadows.
There’s a kismet which takes here between these two individuals, a kismet which neither one had ever expected the moment they first met. It is also where life might be throwing a curve into Lori’s life; for if she succeeds in undoing her curse, she’ll have no memory of the trek she has just endured, no memory of anything which has transpired since the curse had first been cast, which definitely includes her savior Archer.
Will Lori toss away the reason she made her trek just to be with Archer? Could the kismet which occurred when they first met survive the aftermath of the curse being lifted? I’m not telling.
This YA romance novella also contains the right amount of humor, magic and fantasy to engage its readers to continue reading, which is why I’ve given Ms. Brooke and this book 5 STARS.
Wow, everything CK Brooke writes is so enchanting to read. Fool Moon is a very tightly told story of love, magic, paranormal, suspense and adventure. Like her other work, I got pleasantly lost in the world and the characters. I really love CK Brooke's style and look forward to more fun, enjoyable books.
A curse, adventure, a stranger, a determined woman. It all leads to a romantic tale. Lori is a strong young lady looking to end a curse that was placed on her. Archer is a stranger who helps her.
It’s a perfect escape book. A quick easy to read romance. Read it in 2 days. Characters are very likable. Storyline flows.

An intensely enjoyable tale This wonderfully original tale is a feast to the imagination. The twists, drama, and emotion in this tale takes you along on the journey with Lorileen. Lorileen is well a developed character with many layers. I enjoyed this read and highly recommend it. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review
A well written story Lorileen Masters must travel to a witch who casts a spell on her along the way she meets Archer Cross a highwayman hunter. Archer can keep her curse at bay so she asks him to go with her. A suspense filled story with its ups and downs and romance. I found it to be a story that was well worth reading.
This is a well written and interesting short read, resembling a fairy tale. I didn't like how the conflict was solved at the end, it was too convenient. The story is nothing extraordinary, but I recommend it to people who are looking for a short clean fantasy book.
