Between a missing mermaid, a dead Santa, and a muddled mutt intent on causing trouble, this is shaping up to be one Christmas I'd like to forget.
When the annual mermaid parade is missing its central figure, Glynda tasks me and Beezley to track the oversized fish and get her back home where she belongs. The job isn't welcome, but the cash is, especially when a confused chihuahua decides to tear up half my wardrobe.
The case soon leads us on a wild fish chase, with a short stop in a pub for much appreciated refreshments. With a few tangled threads to follow, I'm sure we'll be sorted in time to indulge in the silly season's activities to our heart's content.
But a false trail leads us straight into danger. An old foe raises his ugly head, and we're soon in deep, deep trouble. If a muddled mutt can't save the day, it might be our chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
Willow Mason is the author of Witchy Paranormal Cozy Mysteries.
She lives in a small town in New Zealand, far too close to the beach and fantastic walking trails to get nearly as much work done as she should. Until someone bestows magic powers on her, she'll just keep hoping for the invention of self-cleaning dishes and self-washing clothes.
Sorry to see this series end, but maybe? Our heroine is exhausted, confused and on the verge of a breakdown. Why? She lost her freedom, her magic-again, her best friend and her home. What else could go wrong? Through no fault of her own, she has been tasked with finding the missing mermaid of the town’s festival which leads to her being kidnapped. A long lost parent turns up, along with a reprehensible familiar, that turns three people turned animals into humans and back into animals again. Locked in a dungeon with her magic suppressed how will Beezley and the Witch survive? Crazy plot twists and story adventures that lead to an unexpected ending, which just happens to leave room for more. Here’s hoping.
A wonderful read that takes you by the throat and drags you though a life of a maligned witch. Is it her fault her absentee father is evil to the core? So why does everyone treat her as if it is! Beezley is depressed and there's no case on the horizon to pull him out of it. Until she finds a brain damaged familiar, a dead Santa, a missing mermaid and is then pulled into a trap. A trip that leaves her powerless, Beezley with no recollection of her thereby making her jobless and without a home. Can anything be done to restore things, make Christmas go with a swing and stop her father and his evil familiar from trapping her again? A tale that throws our FMC into deepest despair and leaves everyone affected to pay the price (apart from her smug father and his minion).
Extraordinarily fun and entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series
An extraordinarily entertaining and fun to read supernatural cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters and a fun and entertaining storyline. A young witch who was excommunicated from her local Coven and gets a job as an assistant to a private investigator who happens to be a dog. Technically he was a detective sergeant who is transformed into a dog by an evil warlock. Follow their adventures as they solve crimes for humans as well as witches. See if they can find a way to return him to human and set the World right.
I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narrator's performance of the individual characters.
This third installment of the series is the most emotional of the three books, but still brings the laughs. By the end, things are well wrapped up, but if the author ever wanted to do more with these characters, she totally could (I haven't looked into it).
This story is filled with a sense of hope that's quite refreshing, even though the hope gets crushed a few times on the way to the conclusion. This story also wrapped up a series-long mystery that was clearly leading up to the grand finale, but that doesn't take away from the enjoyment. There were a few components of the ending I just didn't see coming, which I always enjoy. In addition to the message of hope, this last book of the series seemed to dive headfirst into the importance of community, acceptance, and friendship.
Highly recommended to fans of talking animals, magic, paranormal mystery, and small-town calamity.
A dream come true may not be what you expect This is the third book in the series. It had some great twists and turns. The characters are wonderful and well developed. Beezley and the Witch solve some more cases and save Christmas. The plot was well thought out. There is plenty of action. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy paranormal mysteries.
Loved the new character, a little chihuahua with brain damage. Poor baby. He tried to help so many times, but kept getting it wrong. Porangi was hilarious, and loyal, and inept. I am in love with him. Oh yes, and the story was good too.
Was not sure I was going to finish this book. The start was slow and uninteresting. I hung in there and it began to have some excitement. The ending now has me wanting to read a continuation.
A great finale (maybe?) to this series, I do hope there is more and that this isn't the end, because they left that open for more books. I will miss Beezly and the Witch. A good fun cozy series, that I definitely recommend.
Beasley and the Witch Book 3. When a mermaid goes missing, Beasley and the witch are tasked with finding her their investigation takes them into a situation where they get involved with a crazed chihuahua that may be a key to the solution..or not. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This trilogy was great! The narrator brought each book to life. It was fun, intriguing and felt kinda cozy. Witches, spells, a Frenchie PI who is actually human… what more could you want? And a funny chihuahua in this final book!
