I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Young Love by Quiana S. Fulton is about a young girl dying and needing to find true love. Will Silver find this true love before her angel of death takes her away? Silver Silver is our main female love interest and one of our point of view characters. She has known since she was ten years old that she would die in her teens. Silver doesn't know how or why, but she knows that she is going to die. She recently broke up with her boyfriend of a year named Sedley and meets Tuck unaware that Tuck is supposed to be in her life. A lot happens from chapter 1 to the last chapter, and through it all, I didn't like Silver as much as I probably should have. Silver seems like a brat to me. Tuck Tucker, or Tuck, is our main male love interest and the second of our two point-of-view characters. He recently moved to Silver's town for his junior year of high school with his grandmother. Tuck works at a music store and he is a better character than Silver and Sedley aka "Sed". He seems like a better character but he also has his own issues that he doesn't let control him I guess like Silver or Sed does. I sort of liked Tuck but not as much as I wanted to. Three Stars Young Love by Quiana S. Fulton needs a lot of work done to it. Ms. Fulton has some good bones to her story and her characters need to be fleshed out some more. She needs to work a bit more on this story to make it better. For one to either hire an editor or to read back through herself to see some of the editing issues. I got taken out of the book a lot by some of these things which is why my rating for Young Love by Quiana S. Fulton is only three stars.
Thank you for dropping by! I hope you enjoyed this review of Young Love by Quiana S. Fulton.
I really liked this book. I liked the fact that the story was told from two different perspectives. Sometimes when I'm reading I like to know what happens when the main character is not around the other characters in the story. I really enjoyed the interactions between the two main characters Silver and Tuck. The only character I didn't like was Sully. He claims to love Silver but he has a funny way of showing it. All in all a very good book even if it was a bit of a sad ending, but I'll be glad when the sequel comes out so I can come back to these characters.

I don’t like giving bad reviews, especially knowing that most authors spend hours hunched over a computer working hard, but I also believe in giving honest reviews. This book is hard to follow, has many grammatical errors and needs a lot of work. With this being said, I do believe that it shows promise. I’ve seen many new authors in a hurry to be published and so they don’t do a line edit or have others read their book before it goes live. The good news is that the author can always go back and fix the book, then republish it. The bad news is that all those who bought before won’t get the updated version if they choose to do this.
I think even as adults, we can appreciate a good YA story once in a while. This one took me back to some of my own high school memories and high school love. And the drama...! In high school it seems to be never ending. This author describes it well. Including the friends that goes right along with it. Since I'm review the audiobook, I should also add, that she did a fantastic job narrating.
